Now I'm thinking of Bengals + Brits + Sicilians + Spanish. Bengals go fast feudal. Everyone then FC and builds 12 TC's (no wood cost; stone from Sicily; each built in 11 seconds by a single vil). Spanish tech-gold helps with age up. Everyone (except Bengals) would have 543 zero-pop villagers in Imp (easily increased by mining stone to build more TCs), assuming they've build none themselves. Then batter down your enemy with thousands of Supremacy vills that each have 440 hp, 21/22 armor and 63 atk :p
Edit: Swapping Brits & Sicilians for Malians & Incas would mean building TCs is slower (but still quadruple speed), but villagers would be even stronger (103 attack, 51/62 armor - they'd only take 1 damage from bombard cannons), TCs would fire 80 arrows and all buildings would be free. Even if you'd arrive in castle age with as little as 30 villagers (20 of which come from the Bengals) and had only 2 minutes before the Bengali player also ages up, you could theoretically build 90 TCs - if you can find the space.

They'd still lose. Going up fast means sod all and those vills would be wayyyyy too slow.
Would not be beter trade Sicilians for Incas? And have TC completly free? Or for Berbers, for speedy Vils.
Damn, I thought this was pick civ at first, south team literally has the second best bombard cannon stack possible. The only improvement I can come up with is swap Mongols for Ethiopians.
Also, those blue organs are pretty much cobra cars lol.

If the eco team had pushed in castle, they might had a better chance, especially with purple staying in castle longer than the rest of the feitoria team

needs a Byzantine ally so their defenses doesnt melts away from other units
These tech mods need also a singular huge addition to the hitpoints of defensive architecture if not any kind of building

I have trouble believing these were random civ picks because Portuguese Mongols Turks and Bohemians just have a little too much synergy between them.

If these guys were all top 100 pros, then maybe Team Smallhead might've been in a good spot, but I love how you thought that these mid to low-ELO players stood a chance against their opponents' civ lineup
Ignoring the thumbnail, I definitely expected the gunpowder side to do well because huuuuge eco sounds OP but when the units are dirt cheap and overpowered, more conventional sounding bonuses end up inferior in practice.
I bet blue felt amazing after that game.

10x shared bonuses with random civs works because everyone gets everything.
This was a shitty match-up basically decided by the dice roll with not much entertainment value other than seeing the turbo artillery rolling around.
Still amusing but no balance at all.
Would it make sense for these kind of 10x teamgames to give them a pause at the start of the game to think about their bonuses? Dunno, maybe three minutes?
It takes like 5 seconds to click the tech tree and have a look.

It's not about looking at your own civ bonuses, they gotta consider the combinations as well and that's something that is not easily done when you are busy playing yourself
Now I want Bengalis + Spanish and a ton of TCs so one player can have like 500 Spanish super vills lol

Imagine a “pick 2” mod that lets you pick 2 different civilizations to play where you get all the bonuses unique units and technologies from both civs.
Essentially making 41^2 different civ combinations.
Also imagine team games where in a 2v2 you have 4 team bonuses per side, 8 bonuses in a 4v4.

There is already a mod "civ alliance" where you get the bonuses and unique techs of multiple civs.
@@nathanielb3510 yeah kinda, just checked it out. You can build a wonder and build a hero unit out of it for 500g and you dont start the game with all the bonuses you pick a 2nd and 3rd civ from your eco buildings in order to get the bonuses. Also I didn't get 2 different castle unique units.
I like the sound of my simple "pick 2" mod Idea better but making the UI work is a challenge ofcourse.
How do you even pick your second civ?
Probably need to expand Castle to 2 pages like the docks.
And the interaction of various non-castle unique units, expanded tech trees, and techs like anarchy for goths, and the one for tarkans for mongols, whether those apply to your 2nd chosen civ's unique unit or not (let's say not it sounds easier) but you might need a second page on your stables and barracks in some weird scenarios none the less. And I'm not sure if any of this can be coded easily or not from a modders perspective.
From one of the 10x shared bonuses games I remember a player complaining their battle elephants or something were replaced with tarkans. You could run into same "undesirable bug" with this concept potentially

Red here. Because we didn't pick the civs ourselves, we found out what civ we were playing a few minutes before the game started.
Building a second tc in feudal or waiting with going up to castle until the other players have their TCs would also have been nice, but that's diffucult if you just get thrown into it with random civs.

i think the strat would be that one goes fast imp and the three others go fast castle and make tons of TCs, then you have a massive advantage !

Those Organ Guns nearly made me piss myself laughing. They weren't just absurdly fast, everything just melted in front of them.
The Organs were Overkilling Castles so hard that 90% of their shots were still going to hit everything behind it

this is what im waiting for. the amount of strats you could do in a 4v4 makes this mod so insanely deep. on forest nothing it slows everything down way too much for all the bonuses to really play out
Honestly T90 you could host a 10x shared civ 4v4 tournament where teams are allowed to pick civs and stick with them the whole tournament. Then it comes down to who has the better synergy - team elephants? team camels? team archers?
Malay, Spanish, Italians and Malians are the most op team I can think of.
At the start of the game, you can build 2 buildings (preferably a barracks) almost instantly. And then you can reach Feudal instantly for free thanks to the Malay and Italian bonuses. Then repeat this until you reach imp. The Malay player can then spam free stables and elephants into the opponent's base, and all these should be done in less than 2 minutes of game time. The other players can research Chemistry (instantly with Malians) by using the market (markets are also free and instantly built), and then spam free (Italians) and super fast-firing (Spanish) gunpowder units, that is if the game isn't finished already. You can have 1 villager building a lot of houses while this goes on as they are also free and instantly built.

Going Berserk here was a very bad call.
With the Malian bonus and the Viking HP bonus, viking champions would have had 26 pierce armor, the organ guns dealing 27 damage would have likely not have been able to take them out at all.
Too bad the organ guns could just run away though

This would be good only with Celts, for Infantry speed.
Smallhead (red) here. My unit choice doesn't matter. Our only chance would've been to fast imp with the Bengali vill bonus and cut through before they make castles.

Bengalis + 20 Free Villagers Each age which take less pop space
Incas + Villagers Affected by Blacksmith upgrades
Poles + Villagers Regen Xp
Koreans + 30 Line of Sight for Villagers
Hindustanis + Cheaper (so most likely, free) Villagers
Berbers + 100% Faster Moving Villagers in Feudal
Romans + Villagers Build, Repair and Gather 50% faster
Spanish (Obviously)
A shame no one took advantage of the 10 extra TC in Feudal Age as it paired nicely with the Bengalis 20 extra villagers per TC on age up, and the Bengali player was the last on the team to Feudal anyways.
Imagine the Bengali villager bonus combined with the Flemish Revolution. Build 20 town centers, click revolution, win game with over 4000 units per player.
Okay so they have 3 gunpowder civs, the 1 civ that isn't gunpowder has drill which makes siege workshop units move 50% faster. So that's 500% faster there alone
10x shared civ mod requires civ pick, because it is not balanced (though, it seems like there are multiple viable civ combos at least).

bengali + spanish + inca, get a swarm of the toughest villagers ever. is there a civ that has less food cost or less villager cost? add that in to make them totally free
Hindustani have cheaper vils. I'm not sure how that would work with this mod though. They're usually 45, if that's calculated as 5 food cheaper than they would be free. If it's calculated as 10% cheaper and the mod works additively, then they would be around 15 food.

I can't believe they nerf the fetoria when there are so many FREE units. It is more interesting to see fetorias used, balancing pop space with resources gained, then having to buy units versus spamming free units. Dumb. NOTHING else is nerfed.
Feitoria provide ~90 pop worth of income and take up 20 pop. There's no balance here, it's strictly better than a villager-based economy, and massively so. They essentially make all your units free units.
Don't forget portuguese already give you ~2.5 lumberjacks worth of wood income for free for each vill collecting berries and a 90% gold discount on all army units. And one of the strongest units in the game on 10x shared civ (elite organ gun).
@@ajfish9514 Thank you for proving my point. Feitorias make your units "essentially" free. Meaning NOT free. You still have to manage your resources and stay within your budget. When you are out of resources you have to wait and cannot buy more units. VERY different than COMPLELELY FREE units. And stacking bonuses occur with other civ's, too, like 750 hp elephants or units with 60 range. In fact, the bonuses are SHARED. That's the point of the mod!
I tried some of the campaigns with the mod and the experience was something. The Inca campaign especially. Free castles and ridicules strong villagers. Castle rush was never stronger. Maybe besides teutons with like 30 range or so.
By the why, the emphasis of "Todes" was not quite right, but still quite good with your German there.
Is that like, the 3 best gunpowder civs plus Mongols? I really can't imagine who else would add here, Probably Spanish? Koreans? Malians? Burgundians? In team gunpowder in general, you honestly cannot go wrong with Turks and Portuguese. Such a classic duo.

Yeah only way west side team had a chance was green going up at 17-18 pop, all players spam a handful of TCs in feudal (yes, cuman tc bonus shares), fast imp into onager cut, then spam free kipchack from cuman UT before giga organs come in

Hi T90, yesterday I played the 2 most crazy games yet, at 700ish elo against ChileDog. In a game he TC drop me at DARK AGE with persians and in the literally next game we searched we found eachother again and had a epic match at nomad.
This gamemode requires that the bonuses are shared between enemies or stomps like this will happen every other game.

Really frustrating out of 8 players to only get to see 1 interesting unit that blue realized was OP and proceeded to instantly end the game with after 30+ minutes of build up -_- Wouldn't mind blue being banned from community games for a few months or something, wasting the time of 7 other people (and ALL the viewers) like that is pretty fucking rude.
