I did the same with a scooter frame, sand blasted, then Red Oxide, but I then brush paited it twice, then clear varnish, will last for years Powder coat is just a short term paint job
Ich kann mich noch ganz genau erinnern, als dieses Modell in den achtziger Jahren im Intershop in Berlin und Leipzig stand. Sie stand hinter einer Scheibe und mein Vater ist bald verzweifelt um mich um gehen zu überreden.
i curse this bike some japanese designer at yamaha was drunk on sake when then thought it would be fun to make the bike in such a way that you need to pull the engine if you want to remove the airbox
Absolutely stunning bike Well done Sir. Glad you survived as well as the bike. How did you refurbish the original pipes? I have painted and split mine, but gaskets I cannot get? Also, did you replace the exhaust silencer end caps? How and with what? Very beautiful result.🙂
Thank you very much ! I am lucky , to have remained in its original state with a dark coating. ( black chrome ?) The end of the exhaust is made of stainless steel with laser cutting and TIG welding.
If you're using the standard size rims, then standard size tyres, as recommended by the manufacturer. Always best! Oversized tyres almost always result in less lean angle, due to the profile being changed.
Very nice! I drive an XJ 600 from 1986 since 16 years.
Udo Schmidt Me too. Its My First Bike.

Looks amazing. I have the same model and want to repair the omg exhausts. What size are the balance tube gaskets and where can I get them from please?
Thank you , I don't remember its size, but its name is: exhaust gasket graphite .
Available in motorcycle shop, webshop .
Great work . I have this same model , this same colour . What size tires do you have ? standart 110/90/18 rear and 90/90/18 front or difterent ?
Thank You ! Tire's not standard size . Front 110/80 r 18 , rear 130/70 r 18 .
dreamfactoryman thx. Is this size better to drive? more stable in corners any difterent from standard ?
I don't like arrow tires . It's safer for me . ( Bigger corner speed )

Mennyi az ára
Sajnos nem tudom megmondani mert 2019 óta nincs a tulajdonomban .
