I like to imagine Seph composed his own theme, and went through every single music genre trying to pick the best one. These are the results of his scrapped ideas.

I need this animated. Though for the 70s Prog Rock one, it'd be funny if it cuts to Nobuo Uematsu listening to some tunes for inspiration as he's crafting this sick final boss theme for the 7th title in the Final Fantasy series. Prog Rock is one of his favorite genres judging by how often it shows in a number of his works.
This is insanely impressive, every single section has its own unique drumming style and you show that PERFECTLY. Really shows the skill, dedication, and experience.
I NEVER expected the Cumbia Villera one in this video HAHAH I also just realized that they use the same instrument as the Robotnik's theme... Now i need a "Robotnik Villero" version...
Dear drummer niki. Happy New Year. I am happy to see your cool performance and smile this year as well. The comment video of Mikkorone 24 was also the best. Thank you thank you. From somewhere in Japan.
surf rock was surprisingly my favorite it sounded like a boss theme from some weird 80's surfing game on one of those off brand home consoles| salsa and breakbeat were my second favorite though, i really want a full version of those two :o the drumming along to those was fantastic as always
You said you liked the Darksynth one and you in luck as Aurora Australis made a full song of One Winged Angel in this Genre It is so good Whenever I listen to it I imagine Sephiroth and Cloud cruising down a high in the 80s while wearing some cool sunshades XD
I actually screamed "Oh DAMN" when he added on to the Big Band portion. That's my favorite part and his addition made it so much better and surprised me.
I am always so impressed by how fluidly you adapt to what you're drumming to (and delighted by your energy), and this one really shows off how adaptable and skilled you are!
As for the versions I’d love to hear, I wanna hear Big Band, Reggae, 60s Ska, Funk, ESPECIALLY Darksynth, 70s Fusion, cool jazz, and traditional Japanese
Man, I loved the Tango to Salsa to Breakbeat, all 3 were so good! Admittedly I wish breakbeat got a bit more time to shine. Honerable mention to Reggae and 60s ska, those worked quite well back to back. I hope there’s more edits transforming infamous songs into different genres that you get to drum to, that would be awesome
Which genre was your favorite? Don't pick the last one... that is cheating XD
Either Tech Death or Cumbia Villera. Anything metal followed close behind
Big band, tango, and reggae
tango and salsa for sure
Dubstep for me.
Cumbia villera EZ
I like to imagine Seph composed his own theme, and went through every single music genre trying to pick the best one. These are the results of his scrapped ideas.
And then at the end, he throws up his hands and says "Well, fuck it."
Except that the metal ones are basically just AC
@@jonathanzimmer725 Yeah it was originally just metal and then Sephiroth was just like: "Nah it's just not old testament angel enough."
With that in mind I’d personally like to hear the full versions of the ??? and Symphonic Avant-Core Blackened Harsh Noise ones.
Can we just mention how the tango part actually worked SUPREMELY well? lol
a lot of them did in my opinion, though in full version.
sounded like castlevania
Ikr I kinda want a full tango one winged angel now
Timelapse, Please.
Agreed!
Sephiroth had a lot going on his mind when we wanted to bring the world despair.
Unironically cannon.
He was in despair over this pair of this pear that got a diss and a pare.

the best part is being able to easily visualize all of these lol

Its impressive seeing you be able to switch up how you drum when the genre changes so flawlessly
Ha! Thanks so much. I appreciate it!
1:27 "The only thing that will be a memory is that dammed hedgehog!"
I'd be interested in hearing a full version of the tango theme.
I want to hear full versions of all of them!
@@Restilia_ch Yes, actually.
I can see the Screen cap for the Salsa full version now... Just Seph in a full red dress and a rose
@@Restilia_ch There’s a full version of the Darksynth one available :D

This seems like the ultimate test of improv
3:34 "Cloud, you will never stop me from twerking on the dance floor."
I loved Funk, Tango, and Salsa honestly. Salsa especially for some reason. Traditional Japanese was also a lot of fun to listen to with this.
Nothing says despair like changing the genre every 5-10 seconds and then going a good 10-20 before changing the tempo up again.
The transition from medieval to cool jazz was PERFECT
I tune in for the drumming, stay for the insane laughter
Accurate!
YOOOOOOOOOOOOO THANKS FOR THE FEATURE MY MAN
eyyy there he is
HAHA! Thank you for making it! It was super fun to play along with! Keep on making the awesome content!
i like how you see his brain stalling on every transition
Ah. My favorite One Winged Angel video. Gotta hand it to the arranger for being scarily accurate with each Genre. Thanks for drumming to this, 8bit!
3:07 even the laughs are in rhythm
I NEVER expected the Cumbia Villera one in this video HAHAH
I also just realized that they use the same instrument as the Robotnik's theme... Now i need a "Robotnik Villero" version...
The tango one worked a lot better than I expected
This video is a true testament of your skill in picking up on a completely different tone really quickly and on the fly. A joy to behold
The reggae-to-60s ska and disco-ti-darksynth sections and transitions are freaking magical how smooth they sound.
I really like the Darksynth and Breakbeat honestly
This honestly feels like it would be a goose chase through way too many buildings.
Sometimes Sephiroth just needs to take a load off and have a few drinks. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
I desperately want to hear/see a ballroom dance competition use the tango version of this song! Maybe on Dancing with the Stars? 🤣
I had that same thought!
I thought with the amount of genres the quality will drop. But man every one of them was wonderful!
You have a super skill of rythm adaptation, you deserve your freshly hit 1M subs :)
Less a meme, more an improv challenge for the greatest drummer of our time
This one was really a very funny Musical Journey
Dear drummer niki. Happy New Year. I am happy to see your cool performance and smile this year as well. The comment video of Mikkorone 24 was also the best. Thank you thank you. From somewhere in Japan.
Thank you so much for the kindness! :D
Sephiroth is a man of many tastes.
I’m seeing a lot more than 8 bits on this guys channel.
Gotta admire his ability to switch things up on the fly like that.
Sephiroth's favorite kind of music is every music
The cumbia villera section made me immediately think of Banjo Kazooie and I love it
4:13 I've been so conditioned to expect Megan or Rick Rolls from stuff like this that the punchline genuinely got me
surf rock was surprisingly my favorite it sounded like a boss theme from some weird 80's surfing game on one of those off brand home consoles|
salsa and breakbeat were my second favorite though, i really want a full version of those two :o the drumming along to those was fantastic as always
Thank god I’m not the only one!
Hey!
I happen to be a huge fan of symphonic avant-garde blackened harsh noise. Don't judge me on my choices.
Okay, I loved all of them, but I'm stuck between Darksynth and Synthwave. But that freaking ending was just an audioblaster.
everyone gangster till Symphonic Avant-Core Blackened Harsh Noise
You said you liked the Darksynth one and you in luck as Aurora Australis made a full song of One Winged Angel in this Genre
It is so good
Whenever I listen to it I imagine Sephiroth and Cloud cruising down a high in the 80s while wearing some cool sunshades XD
You did a great job keeping up with all the style changes. I think Tango is the unsung hero of that whole lot.
Sephiroth gives you dis pear 🍐
When you're so badass and evil that you can change your own theme every 5 seconds into another genre. Truly evil, Mr. Sephiroth
I actually screamed "Oh DAMN" when he added on to the Big Band portion. That's my favorite part and his addition made it so much better and surprised me.
How many other drummers can seamlessly change styles on the fly like that?
Wow his ability to change genres on a dime while making it look effortless is impressive.
I am always so impressed by how fluidly you adapt to what you're drumming to (and delighted by your energy), and this one really shows off how adaptable and skilled you are!

That's his snare

Your ability to adapt genres on the fly like that should be commended. Holy hell, man.
Symphonic is basically just advent
1:27 One PINGASed angel

You are adept AF. Amazing.
Gotta get me more Salsaroth in my life.
The last one was like: Genre? YES
So as a musician that had to be a nightmare to make hundreds of different patterns
1:26 2:29 PODER ARGENTINO!!!! (ARGENTINIAN POWEEEER!!!)
オシャレな片翼の天使とドラマーニキのかっこいい演奏合わさってもう最高

even better by the constantly changing expressions he wore hahaha tops XD

One Winged Cumbia. I have seen it all
Congrats on the KoMiko collab! Looks you got an Elite fan!
Thank you!
as a major fan of bardcore I'm obligated to love the medieval verson
It's crazy how much good drums makes a Big Band tune
When your the most badass villain in gaming history so you need a song to keep people on their toes by changing the genre nonstop
That ending could not have been more perfect.
i need a full version of the cumbia one
I imagine when the salsa version came on, Cloud and Sepheroth both broke out into Latin dancing and fought that way.
This made me feel like you just had a boss battle with him 😆.
1:28 I couldn't figure out why this part sounded familiar until Jerod pointed it out lmao.
Funnily enough, that "symphonic avant core blackened harsh noise" sounded basically like a bit of an igorrr song
Breakbeat is by far my favorite but gosh they all are awesome
I need that Reggae Version so badly
One-Winged Angel, but the genre keeps changing? Haha! I haven't seen that one! That's hilarious!
Reggae and Ska really take all the menace out of this song don't they lol
That "reggae" theme is like Sephiroth walking into a bar and killing the mood for everyone inside XD
Baroque and Darksynth go hard.
HA-I!
This is a man who loves his job
That dubstep one sounded fire, no joke. Throw that in Terraria and have a Sephiroth secret collab boss
I liked the medieval, salsa, and traditional japanese versions. But honestly, why did it sound so good in disco XD
The laugh at the end there killed me
*Multiple-winged Angel*
2:21 Is this...? godammit sans
I was so convinced the last one was gonna be megalovania lmao
One winged angel is a genre,
Megalovania is a genre,
Anything else that is memorable by everyone and their mother, that is considered a genre?
This was a joy to watch! 😆
Big Band actually works quite well. Loved the whole thing tho
❤❤❤❤
Loved the Salsa one!
Dark synth is EPIC
I'm having a stroke
I need a full version of like. all of these.
