      05:28. The Vatican Apostolic Archive ceased to be called Vatican Secret Archive *in 2019.* If the rest of the video is as badly researched as the Vatican segment, we can be sure it is all fake. Is this a channel of conspiracy theories or it uses TikTok videos as sources?
      Basically, nothing of what it is said here is true. If I am wrong, prove it, with reliable sources. For my part, I send you to simply google "vatican apostolic archive," "vatican apostolic library," "vatican museums," "vatican conclave," "vatican council" because the segment does a mash-up of very different entities with extremely different ends and protocols. You use Google, and you will find their websites, Wikipedia articles, addresses, working hours, etc. Like the Pentagon or the Library of Congress, they are guarded, but *they are not secret.* Like any archive of any government, there are historic documents that need special care, and current diplomatic affairs that are not tourist' business. If you are doing historical research with legit credentials, you can access the Archive. The thing of "male of certain age" is nonsense. Just like the whole segment.
      And one thinking that Mr. Whistler had some work ethics or cared to not fuel stupid conspiracy theories... but it seems that views and likes were all that mattered here.

    I think you missed one. I hear there is this place in Prague disguised as a basement office known only as the Blazement. In it is a slave army of writers and video editors who put out vintage memes. The strange thing about it is that it is only guarded by a broken neon sign, an ancient space heater and a bald, bearded, glasses-wearing British guy who talks to himself all day and may randomly yell nonsensical things like "Am I right Peter?". There have been reports that he has used his desk as a knife holder for unknown reasons.

    I used to live down the road from Fort Knox. They also, at least used to, have trained dogs inside the last fence. If you stop on the road in front of it, guys with machine guns will come and talk to you and if your car breaks down they will have it moved fast. I wandered onto the tank range on several occasions but never dared any shenanigans around the vault. The signs warn of authorized "lethal force".

    Fun fact about Fort Knox: When filming the movie Goldfinger, they were actually allowed to film on location. Ian Flemming knew the security officer from back in WW2, and he allowed them to film outside Fort Knox and from above with an airplane.
    Another fun fact; all the military personnel in that scene are actual US GI:s. The production had run out of money and couldn’t afford to pay extras. Fortunately, the Army were conducting maneuvers in the area, so they just asked if they could film them for a few scenes, and the director bought them all beers payed from his own pocket.

      They keep a guy named Svarkel and his sons permanently housed in his own bunker nearby, so that if cataclysm occurs, good ol Svarkel or one of his boys can open their vault, stroll on over to the seed vault and insert the 3 foot long 23 pound key into the vault door, and access the seeds. Google street view has images right up to the door of the seed vault (a former coal mine) taken by a guy riding a bicycle. He does pass two people walking outside the entrance. One is holding a camera, the other has a rifle. It is likely that the rifle is not for guarding the place. People walking anywhere outside the town of Longyearbyen are required to have a gun to guard against polar bear attacks.

    Always remember that what people value more than money is power. If you can be utterly broke, but have control over others then you have no need for money of your own anyway. Something heavily guarded is often not going to be valuable in terms of money, but in terms of power. This also is how you can tell what a government or the elites will do.
    It's all about power. Always.

    As the US Dollar is now a soft currency (not linked to the value of precious metals owned by the country to match the value of issued currency) and has been so for a great many years. I suspect there is little gold left in Fort Knox. Possibly enough to keep the few VIP visitors happy and happily ignorant. Fort Knox is known to store a great many other valuable items which is why the security still exists. As the place doubles as a military base, the actual running cost for securing the vault is tiny in comparison.

    Okay I love the idea behind this.... but, in the event of a world destroying event, who is going to know the location of the seed bank? And more importantly who will still be able to get to it in the a newing hellscape of Life happening on the planet? Who knows the access code to get in there? What are the chances that somebody will know that in the future? I'm just saying in theory if the human race is not back several hundreds of years, who's going to be the one to find this and rework the world? I feel in the long run this will end up being a tool that someone will use to control the world. Granted not this one but whatever Rises after the event that causes this to be necessary

    A precision concerning the Vatican Archives : a persistant myth says they are "secret". Actually they are not. They are available mainly for the Vatican personnel, but also to any scholar who asks through the proper way (ike, for example reserves of museums or rare or fragile book storage of librairies). The myth comes from an error in translation. They were called "Archivum Secretum Apostolicum Vaticanum" but "secretum" doesn't mean "secret", it means "private". The word should be undertstood as the private archives of the pope, ie all the decrees, letters, books, etc) of the pope. Nowadays they are called "Archivum Apostolicum Vaticanum"

    What’s up with banana flavored candy not tasting like bananas? Always heard it was cuz the plant it was based on went extinct.. but we have seeds for it?

    • @becks5867
      @becks5867 7 місяців тому

      Those banana plants do exist and grow well in some locations. But the majority of bananas are grown in one country, and that particular type of banana plant was being destroyed there by disease, so a GM seed was made and that’s the Cavendish bananas we mostly eat today - which now is being subject to disease …. Now we wait for the next GM banana

    • @JarrodFrates
      @JarrodFrates 7 місяців тому

      @@becks5867 Current Cavendish are not GMOs. They replaced the Gros Michel ("Big Mike") cultivar in the 1950s, right around the time that researchers were beginning to understand the basic structure of DNA. As Cavendish are all clones of the original plant (as Gros Michel are, since neither have seeds), there's been no genetic modification happening until very recently. In May 2023, Australian researchers created the first GM Cavendish, designed to be resistant to rhe fungus that is putting the Cavendish at risk. If it works, the same might happen for the Gros Michel (which is still produced in small numbers, but they're rather expensive at sometimes several dollars per banana).
