Coach is not only about the monogram dear Jess. They are famous for their good leather that stood the test of time, and I am talking from experience.. they held way better than my Chanel bag which I paid an arm and leg for.. so congrats for your new Coach bag 😊❤
For me, at least, I feel like the reason it feels easier to carry the coach bag isn’t because it’s less nice or more durable than the (more expensive or rare) Hermes bags… it’s that it doesn’t feel like they’re irreplaceable or thousands lost if they incur any slight damage. It feels less anxiety-inducing. That being said; I have some of rarer old coach that I baby like my Birkin because they wouldn’t be easy to source again.
I have two of these, using one now. It’s a fabulous bag, hope you enjoy! BTW, this is a reissue of a bag from the 90’s. If you can find an original, the leather is even better!

I also wouldn't mind checking out this bag in the right color! Love it! It's nice to also have feet on the bag! Great choice!
I actually prefer the coach over the Hermes. The brushed gold hardware is actually very functional as it wont show scratches as much as shiney gold. Enjoy your new purchase!

Congrats, love that bag, stunning. Only certain Coach bags go on sale, usually seasonal colors. I think as far as that particular style Coach did it right. If you stick with leather you want go wrong. The hardware is brass which is such a bonus because it’s not going to turn like gold colored does.

Coachs glovetanned leather to me has always been amazing. I feel like their bags have improved in quality as well as designs. I’ve bought my third bag this year as I’ve moved away from luxury brands and I feel that coach has filled the void.
Great choice for an everyday dumb reach bag. Here's why I love this particular Coach bag 1) Long shoulder straps that allow you elbow clearance so you can drop one to get into the bag while the other is still on the shoulder, none of that diagonal crossbody twisting 2) feet 3) East West means items don't lie on top of each other, vertical bags are not practical for a workhorse function 4) No Big C logo 5) Leather lining 6) Light weight
Charm game is adorable. 😍😍😍 Coach has always had good plain leathers. Had monogrammed Coach and agree it's a little too bold (feel the same about some of LV)

Yay! You bought it! You were thinking about it on one of your last videos. I'm in the U.S. and i bought the chocolate brown. I'm not a fan of the Coach monogram either. Some of their bags are what I would call somewhat "country" style which I am not a fan of. But this bag has classic lines and no branding other than the tag. Coach leather is very sustainable too. Even 10 to 20 years later.
Like the glove tan line from coach. It’s very similar to the vintage coach leather. Few years ago, Coach had a line named 1941 collection which only used the glove tan leather. The Swing tote is a beautiful design, enjoy. Though the glove tan leather is durable, it is not similar to the loewe calf leather. Glove tan leather feels more rugged than the classic loewe calf leather.
Coach Swing Zip is a lovely bag. Great choice. Coach has a good price/quality ratio. I know you are on a lower buy year and you have been doing a great job. This one contemporary bag doesn't raise the number a lot and gives you a 'okay to beat up' option, as you say. Use it well and let us know in a month or two how it fares for you. The bag isn't for me just because I need a bigger bag, so I would personally go with the Brooklyn in that beautiful dark lime. However, I don't need another hobo, and I already have one on custom order from Massacessi, so I'm resisting!
I love the Swing in the dark lime too. I only have 2 Coach bags. I have a bucket bag in the papaya color and the Tabby 26 in chalk. I think the quality is lovely.
I just ordered the soft empire carryall 40 in Merlot. The smaller sizes all have a center zip divider which I’m not a fan of in any bag. It’s not as big as the runway but hoping since it’s advertised as soft and it’s grain leather instead of calf skin it will have some slouch. Coach bags can be heavy so I’ll see when it arrives. Enjoy your new bag!!
I saw the soft empire carryall in person and it’s so luxurious. The leather is full grain and it’s big but not to big and it’s has a nice slouch. I didn’t get it because I have no use for it at this time but I am getting the Times Square tabby in the navy so all well that’s ends well I guess 😊.
Some Coach bags have silver or black hardware, but I like the brass hardware the best. I was considering buying the Swing Zip bag in maple colour (not yet available in Australia), but the maple bag has silver hardware - so I’ll pass! The SA told me dark green is coming to Melbourne later this year
You have so many Hermes bags ( top of the food chain) the Coach seems like a few steps back to me. I mean I’ll sometimes go sideways to Goyard or even step back to Fendi or LV from my Hermes bags but this is too much of a jump for me 😂
Oh… Jess… you are trying to itch an urge, but as you found out before, buying a… high street bag just doesn’t do it for you, it ends in regret and badly spent money you can’t regain when selling it. IF, you have a need, that NONE of your many bags for-filled, you should have done was saved a bit longer and bought a HERMES VICTORIA ELAN, you would have stayed on brand, got the quality you like, had no regrets and even if, been able to sell it for what you paid.
