I been wanted to see you brake down on pedro. Just wanted to point he say on some pitch he lower the arms slot specially for the change up and movement. Also the age contributed to lower velocity like all pitcher specially throwing a+ stuff you have to do extraordinary stuff. Plus on he's best days like until 2001 he was listed as 160 pounds plus in 5.9 and I see him next to me he looks shorter than me. Adding in the 90s only few pitchers throw over 95. In my opinion me as a pitcher not professional learn allot from him and mariano rivera. Or like Nolan rian having the arm back helps him and he was able to last like 25 years in the mayor league. Just to add great great work pomy opinion you should analyze a pitcher whole career instead of one footage. Keep teaching us with superb breakdown and God bless
Spot on analysis (as usual). I wanted to point out that I noticed that differently from this video the Pedro Martinez that was pitching for the Phillies had a much much more abbreviated drift (almost none), and I suspect that right there he lost 2-4MPHs (Which were critical). Small things that people couldn't catch back then and we can today...........finally wanted to point out that just like Ben I witenessed that 1997-2000 Pedro Martinez.........STRAIGHT UP ILEAGAL!! HE WAS PLAYING A DIFFERENT GAME!!

Hello great work you guys doing out there you guys should have a job on mlb team. You coud be a pitching coach. I want to add to your analysis on pedro that he's my favorite of all time follow he's he's career and is about his shoulder being lower than shoulder line I heard him say that he had problem all he's career getting that shoulder up in line and I don't remember but it was something he say that he use to do something else to make up for it. I hope that answer your guessed about the shoulder. luand I play baseball not professional but when you throw low three quarters the ball moves more from side to side. Good bless

What pitches work well with smaller fingers ?
If it helps at all, I have very small fingers compared to most guys my height, and I have the easiest time throwing sliders/curves of any pitch aside from my fastball.

@Bread And Circuses Um I kinda just tried some grips and threw them. The curve worked well without much practice, slider took a bit.
