- The K-MAX heavy lift helicopter is built to lift 6,000 lbs. and has been proven to lift virtually anything you throw at it. The aerial truck provides you with complete control over the load you're lifting and placing, and only requires one mechanic and an optional pilot.
These twin rotor helis are the bomb. As stable as a quad, or more so.
Can lift more than their own weight.
No tail rotor.
Autonomous flight capable.
Easily outfitted with weapons, or
Firefighting equipment, observation
gear.
Single pilot only required.
Externally mounted instrumentation so pilot can keep eyes on the load.
Very simple controls. 2 foot pedals,
1 joystick.
Top notch performance.
Agile, fast, nimble, ready to work.
Wow, what fantastic design.
Right now there is one K-MAX clearing trees right outside my window. Sooooo cool, been watching it all morning
The only way you can fly it with no butts is unmanned and that isn't fun at all.
Good machine.
It sure is!
It's not a sports car. It's a truck. It's made to do one thing...external loads. If you need speed you get another type of helicopter.
Why was production stopped? Just read about it.
May I ask if they can lift my self-esteem?
Can i get it with extended tow mirrors?

Lmao
Hello I would like it for reforestation
Cost please
To fly is heavenly, to hover divine. Rotary wing aviation there is simply no substitute. A CH 53 will pick up that K-Max with it's 6000 pound load and fly away with it. FLY NAVY!!!
Perhaps... but that same CH53 takes a lot more fuel and manpower to fly and that big bird has a tail rotor.... Not even in the same category. Go pick on a helicopter of the same size that has a conventional tail rotor; LOL!
Btw... Thank you for your service if that is really who you are.
@@stot2614 The only thing even close to the E model 53 is the Russian is MI-26. They are replacing the E model with the K which has even more power. Yes I did serve it's no BS as did many in my family WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam. FLY NAVY!!!
@@USNveteran Just remember this is not comparing like aircraft. 😉
I respect all branches of the U.S. military.
@@stot2614 I'm not talking about like aircraft the video says it will lift virtually anything. Don't think there is any rotary wing aircraft out there that can lift an Abrahams tank. Looks like the Marine Corp is having good success with the K-MAX. Thanks for the respect for all services they all earn it. FLY NAVY!!!
@@USNveteran Virtually anything in its capabilities... Never read too far into context. 😉
So does it cost as much as a truck or still that much that the customers expect a bit more flexibility?
It costs 7 million dollars
Nice pics ,,, dodgy voice over though ...
