What a loot! Love the Oncidium and jealous. Jus recently learned that Stahnopea flowers smell really good. Queen of the night is awesome. Great find, this shop.
Your Phal in the hanging basket looks like two! And that Oncidium is GAWGEOUS! I LOVE Phalaenopsis as well. I am not a big fan of the solid white but I love the white with interesting lips. Your pinky/purple one looks like my Taida Blush “Taida Pink Lady” Great haul Nel!
Hi Trish! I believe they are 2 in one basket. I always have a soft spot for Phalaenopsis. They are my motivation to collect orchids. I will never forget them or become such an orchid snob that I downplay their beauty and elegance. Phals will forever be my first love. ♥️
So excited that I had to come & leave you a message. Today at the Martin County orchid show I met Joshua. I finally got a thimble , another pot & 2 Dendrobium nob. I have never seen one in person. The fragrance is beautiful. I got a few other small oncidium. The one I am most excited to see bloom is Gower Ramsey, orange delight. It’s bright orange. Anyhow had to share I finally met Joshua and he knows that you sent me. Enjoy your new haul.

Glad you had the opportunity to meet him and get some of his stuff. Thank you for sharing. 🙏🏼💚🥰
Great tour of the orchard greenhouse. I'm in central Canada with 3 feet of snow on the ground and minis 10 Fahrenheit so its nice to visit such a place this time of year!

Hey Nelson. $25 for that Queen of the Night was a real real bargain. I have them but unfortunately can’t remember the price I paid. They are drop dead gorgeous. The orchid that blooms underneath the plant is a Stanhopea and the scent is just amazing. Can’t wait til they both bloom. They will knock your socks off.
If I didn’t have food in my mouth at the time my jaw would’ve dropped at the price of that Queen of the Night, my eyes got really wide though.😂 The 6” pots of it that I find near me are $40. That was a really great spurr of the moment haul, I can’t wait to see what the smaller Phal’s flowers look like. I didn’t used to be interested in white flowered Phals, but the size of the blooms is really impressive. I think I have the all yellow Oncidium you mentioned, if only I lived nearby I would totally give you a hearty division of mine.
I know. It’s just crazy. I may go back and get another one for my terrace. But not sure. If not I may just plant one by a tree trunk and let it grow upwards. This haul was a real good one for me. I’m super happy. I agree with you in the phals. Those are just so impressive. And they are heavy bloomers. The yellow oncidium is called a Oncidium Sweet Sugar 'Lemon Drop'. I believe it’s a patented hybrid. They are not cheap. They are between $35-$45 for a 4 inch pot.I want to do a pseudo specimen by getting several and potting them together. I’ve been really enjoying the bloom effect when you bundle a bunch of the same in one setting.
Hi Nelson. Wow. I have dancing ladies but they are not this big. The price is amazing $35.00😱😱😱😱. It’s huge. The orchiDa looks like a great medium for the orchids. I knew you were going to buy the red and yellow orchid. I just knew it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 love all the haul. That was a good idea to go to this nursery because you got some really good deals and these spectacular plants. Great video as always. Thanks. 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍

I have red one, pink and white one, and the yellow one. I started with the regular white queen of the night. The one I got from the nursery is the giant white queen of the night. I do love that they took the time to place it in a trellis. Gld you enjoyed it! 💚

Buenos días Nelson saludos desde Barcelona, España. tenía entendido que no se podían transplantar las orquídeas cuando están en plena floración y veo que tu lo has hecho, entonces quería preguntarte que es lo correcto. Gracias por compartir !
Hi Natalie. Yes it’s sort of like an orchid. I water it everyday and also feed weekly weakly 20-20-20. Keep in a bright spot. I notice they grow faster.
Hi Nelson. Is there an Orchid show this weekend in Fairchild Tropical Garden. My friend got a message about having one this weekend. But not a word from you or Blanca?🤷🏼♀️
You really selected a beautiful oncidium. And, such a deal! I mounted one of those on an areca palm a couple of months ago. It has already attached and has a spike. You might want to consider mounting yours on a tree in your yard. You made some nice choices to add to your collection. You might want to check out the Pescatorias from Equagenera. I have ordered several of them for my collection. They do well under my growing conditions. Thanks for sharing the haul. Well done!
They do great on areca palms. I put an Oncidium sphacelatum and it is massive in only 4 years. It always spikes up in the spring and blooms all the way to about May/June. And it has amazing fragrance.
Nature Nel, I tried to go to Santony Nursery Court's website, and it indicated it was permanently closed. Can you verify for me whether that is the case or not? I wanted to place an order for the Seidenfadenia Mitrata! ❤ Beautiful haul! ❤️
No. It’s that there seems to be 2 nurseries with the same name and different addresses. They open from Monday to Saturday and it’s cash only. Here is the actual address. I also have it on my description box under the video. Santony Nursery Corporation 305-905-3770 941 928-4807 16230 SW 248th Street Homestead, Fl 33031
Thank you, Nel! I am glad it's a different place. In late July I hope to visit it when I am in the area. ❤ And definitely grab an Orchid or two while there. And thank you for the address. ❤ I went to an Orchid Show today, and I was so happy I was able to buy the Seidenfadenia Mitrata. Yay!!
Nelson, I think I remember your saying that you own a salon, but I was wondering do you or did you ever do hair? I was a hairdresser for 13 yrs of my life, and a nurse for 22 years and was just curious. I had to stop working about 3 years ago due to psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis issues, got 2 new hips ( one in Oct , one in Jan) 😄 And I just got a few more Phalaenopsis myself!
Hey Preston. I’m a stylist and I own a salon in Midtown by Edgewater. I took on this career about 11 years ago. Before that I was an artist selling work to interior designers. Did that for about 10 years. Before that I worked as an executive at Burdines and Macys. I was in prepress production for the fashion catalogs. Did that for many many years. I enjoy the changes in career. God only knows what I’ll be up to in another 10 years. I too have had many many issues with my body. I’ve had a series of surgeries that have enabled me from allot of my workouts and adventures. Double knee surgery. Spinal surgery. Foot surgery and 9 screws on my right foot. So it has not been easy for me either. I also suffer from a gout type of swelling. That’s why I don’t eat red meat. I just keep going and throwing up my middle finger to any inconvenience. The only way I’ll stop moving forward is when I’m long gone. We all carry some type of burden in life. We just have to give it a big F.Y. and keep on keeping on.
Γεια σου Nelson 👍👍👍🇬🇷🇬🇷🇬🇷

Nature Nel, I tried to go to Santony Nursery Court's website, and it indicated it was permanently closed. Can you verify for me whether that is the case or not? I wanted to place an order for the Seidenfadenia Mitrata! ❤
Beautiful haul! ❤️
No. It’s that there seems to be 2 nurseries with the same name and different addresses. They open from Monday to Saturday and it’s cash only. Here is the actual address. I also have it on my description box under the video. Santony Nursery Corporation

Thank you, Nel! I am glad it's a different place. In late July I hope to visit it when I am in the area. ❤ And definitely grab an Orchid or two while there. And thank you for the address. ❤
I went to an Orchid Show today, and I was so happy I was able to buy the Seidenfadenia Mitrata. Yay!!
Nelson, I think I remember your saying that you own a salon, but I was wondering do you or did you ever do hair? I was a hairdresser for 13 yrs of my life, and a nurse for 22 years and was just curious.
I had to stop working about 3 years ago due to psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis issues, got 2 new hips ( one in Oct , one in Jan) 😄
And I just got a few more Phalaenopsis myself!
Nice haul! Your Coelogyne has almost doubled in size. Did you repot it?
Hi PC! Nope. It’s growing allot since I started feeding weekly. I love that it bloomed twice this year.
Does she ship??!!!🤣🤣
Nope. They are practically a plant nursery and she leases the space.
