Of course, the members have a say in their outfits, but overall, they’re styled for visual cohesiveness among the members.
In Asia, especially in Korea, Japan, and China, at least from what I saw, it’s not uncommon for men to wear leather slip ons with no socks. It’s not considered bad fashion. In fact, slender men pull it off really well. You’ll also see this style in Korean dramas. Also, I’ve noticed that men in Asia generally put more emphasis on feet hygiene and care. So they usually don’t have ugly looking feet sticking out. I’m talking from what I saw/experienced. Men in these countries are more into fashion and cosmetics than the general male public in America.

Most of bts has their toes out while in their studios. bts's show "run bts" is one of those things that's a must watch for armys. In US fashion that is generally not how it’s done. But showing ankle, either in socks or in shoes with no socks, is also considered sexy in Korean men’s fashion. Also in Asia no one is wearing shoes indoors most places that are not businesses and even in some businesses depending on what they are. So there are guest slippers available, often without toes, and shoes are often easier to slip on and off. So people are very used to seeing others in slides and open toed slippers, etc.

I was 10 years old when I came to America and learning English was difficult. I decided to stop speaking Korean as I was ashamed that I couldn’t speak English. In 1979 when I left home to go to college I could still understand Korean but couldn’t speak it but by the time I finished college I couldn’t understand it anymore. Language is one of those things that if you don’t speak it or hear it you lose it. RM has said in the past when he’s in Korea and there is no reason to speak English he has noticed his English becomes worse. not really, although koreans do mention the size of their heads, body proportion is another thing hey talk about a lot. It's just basically the shoulder to torso to lower body ratio. Like for example, in bts, namkook are considered to have a great body proportion, therefore often termed as the ones with "the golden ratio", while vmin are said to have small faces. Hope this helps

I didn't care for jimin's pants but shoes and shirt I loved. They'd look better with different pants . J hope's outfit did look the most solid, everything went well together even though if it were up to me I'd pick a different pattern for the fits. If I'm not mistaken V actually designed a pair of Gucci backless shoes. We’re Sole Siblings, Tae and I. Lol I’m not a big fan of shoes either. I grew up at the beach (in San Francisco.) I could literally hear surf from my bed at night. I live on a different shore now, on the forested Olympic Peninsula, but I still love to be outside barefoot, go woods walking barefoot, be at the shore barefoot, etc. I don’t have a lot of shoes and don’t really wear heels unless it’s very chunky and low.
Hahahah they were stylized for the interview, but the clothes picked are from their usual personal style, so don't think they wear much different clothes outside. I wouldn't be surprised if they chose the clothes themselves. Specially for Taehyung, Jungkook and Namjoon.

RE: Jungkook tattoos He has showed pics on his insta or weverse (can't remember) showing some before and after of touch ups that he's had done, there's more color now and they're cleaner. He actually went live yesterday (for 4 frikkin HOURS, what a gift, lol!) and at one point talked about his tattoos for a while, explaining what some of them mean and what changes he's made etc... Pretty cool :) and it's all the way up to his shoulder. You have no idea how cool it is to be able to see all his tats clearly these days... Had to be there in the beginning, he was constantly covering his arm to not offend korean sensibilities. In appearances and even in their shows like run bts he would have long sleeves or they'd blur his arm, even having to cover hand tats with Band-Aids for award shows etc. There was a hullabaloo when ARMY realized that you could kind of see the tats in a reflection in a video. I'm glad he doesn't feel like he has to hide them any more unless it's required by the situation. (Pretty sure he still has to cover them for Korean shows on network tv). They all have a 7 on them somewhere to commemorate being BTS, but other than that Jimin is the only other member with tattoos. He's got NEVERMIND across his ribs (makes me think of Yoongi's song "Nevermind, it's not easy but engrave it on your chest"), Young Forever above his elbows on the backs of his arms, and a 13 on his wrist. He's got something on his back, but I don't know for sure the whole story on that and I don't think we've actually seen it yet, he's just talked about having it. BTS enjoys fashion, but for most of them comfort and convenience comes first, hence the shoes.... I've OFTEN seen V wear his oxfords, sneakers and other lace-up regular shoes with his heel smushing down and standing on the back of the shoe so he can just slip it off and be more comfortable (he also has fallen arches, which may play another role in how/what he wears for shoes)
English spelling of asian languages is so strange. I watched how people struggled with reading correctly Japaneese words that was written in English when in reality Japaneese sounds are mostly so easy. Korean sounds are more difficult but English spelling making it much worse. In my language spelling of their names is very straight forward and it is almost impossible to mess up pronunciation (yes, it is not exactly as original, but close enough). But in English? Oh man. Like I see Korean names spelled in English and think how the f I should read it? So much letters that shouldn't be there. So, yeah, Jungkook is more Chungkook and Jimin is more Chimin but not exactly. Somewhere in between J and Ch. I think with Jin it's a little more complicated but in general if you see Korean word that starts with J this is most likely would sound like Ch. JK has full sleeve now. And he covered some of the tattoos you see here with different ones. I think now he has BULLET PROOF instead of the eye tattoo. Jimin also has several tattoos. All of them have frienship tattoos with "7" somewhere on their bodies and only Yoongi still didn't show us where his 7 tattoo is. Sneaky cat. And, yes, you got Jin's answer wrong.😄
Truth. Learning Hangeul makes pronunciation a lot easier. I still struggle with some sounds and how they're romanized though cause ae, oe, and e all sound like a long a, wi and ui both just sound like we... they sound so similar to me but they're all different vowels and I can't hear the difference... Help! I'm drowning in korean vowels...

V's mules (as you called them) are a wardrobe staple for him. One - they're probably Gucci or LV. Two - throughout the years we've noticed that he seems to prefer open or no shoes at all. It may be due to the fact that he has cholinergic uticaria and his feet may be a problem area.

It's not an allergy, but it is a medical condition. It's why he wears loose clothes more often, because they breathe easier so he won't overheat.

I'm really curious about the showing toes thing, because when pictures of Yoongi in the studio recording for Juice Wrld's album came out and he wore slippers, many guys commented about it too 😅 We think nothing of it in Asia. Although some corporate offices and some banks would require employees, guests, and customers to wear shoes to enter their premises.
Toes out in American culture is not common unless your a white guy in my experience. Toes out in ugly footwear or shoes only they parents should own.
Yeah, this is a cultural fashion difference.
Like how in Korean men’s fashion, often suit sleeves and suit pant legs are slightly shorter and show the white of sleeve cuffs underneath and white (yes white) socks. In US fashion that is generally not how it’s done. But showing ankle, either in socks or in shoes with no socks, is also considered sexy in Korean men’s fashion.
Also in Asia no one is wearing shoes indoors most places that are not businesses and even in some businesses depending on what they are. So there are guest slippers available, often without toes, and shoes are often easier to slip on and off. So people are very used to seeing others in slides and open toed slippers, etc.
Even in schools there are locker area at the doors for changing from street shoes to indoor uniform approved slipper footwear.

I was 10 years old when I came to America and learning English was difficult. I decided to stop speaking Korean as I was ashamed that I couldn’t speak English. In 1979 when I left home to go to college I could still understand Korean but couldn’t speak it but by the time I finished college I couldn’t understand it anymore. Language is one of those things that if you don’t speak it or hear it you lose it. RM has said in the past when he’s in Korea and there is no reason to speak English he has noticed his English becomes worse.

Jin and Hobi are currently growing on me despite them not being who I’ve covered the most. So currently everyone comes from the house of rm but I think their natural in group hierarchy is my bias order.
Body proportion is a big thing in korean beauty standard. The most famous one is comparing how small their head are compare to their body. Smaller the head the better it is for them.
not really, although koreans do mention the size of their heads, body proportion is another thing hey talk about a lot. It's just basically the shoulder to torso to lower body ratio. Like for example, in bts, namkook are considered to have a great body proportion, therefore often termed as the ones with "the golden ratio", while vmin are said to have small faces. Hope this helps

Your shoe commentary is so funny! Everyone else already explained the relationship v and others have with shoes so I won't go into that, but it's funny because for whatever reason, shoes are the 1st thing I look at on people. And I must say Jimin wins the best shoes imo! Looks like he's wearing low quarter doc martens! Docs are my fav shoes, I have 4 pairs of them. Chuck Taylors are my 2nd fav shoe as far as casual pairs go lol. I spotted the stitches and soles and thought "oooh jimin's in docs! " 💜 🙂 Bulgogi is Korean, it's my fav dish, bulgogi and rice with mandu

I would pick Hobi as winner as his shoes despite not being my bag are for sure the best to compliment their outfits. The Docs are a good choice but that too was too boxy on my boy for me. I also wasn’t a fan of the jeans but as a whole outfit I understood the choices I just didn’t like them on my boy. But he still made it work.
@@Jurnalist_ docs are great, super comfy once you break them in, I don't have low quarters. Mine are 2 pairs of standard lace ups, 1 slip on boot and a pair of doc Mary Janes. I didn't care for jimin's pants but shoes and shirt I loved. They'd look better with different pants . J hope's outfit did look the most solid, everything went well together even though if it were up to me I'd pick a different pattern for the fits. If I'm not mistaken V actually designed a pair of Gucci backless shoes. He fks up all of his shoes no matter how $$ so it's good he designed his own, or inspired these shoes etc, idr exactly . 💜 I'm gonna go watch your ddaeng remix next. I’m not a big fan of shoes either.
I grew up at the beach (in San Francisco.) I could literally hear surf from my bed at night. I live on a different shore now, on the forested Olympic Peninsula, but I still love to be outside barefoot, go woods walking barefoot, be at the shore barefoot, etc. I don’t have a lot of shoes and don’t really wear heels unless it’s very chunky and low.

Hahahah they were stylized for the interview, but the clothes picked are from their usual personal style, so don't think they wear much different clothes outside. I wouldn't be surprised if they chose the clothes themselves. Specially for Taehyung, Jungkook and Namjoon.

He has showed pics on his insta or weverse (can't remember) showing some before and after of touch ups that he's had done, there's more color now and they're cleaner. He actually went live yesterday (for 4 frikkin HOURS, what a gift, lol!) and at one point talked about his tattoos for a while, explaining what some of them mean and what changes he's made etc... Pretty cool :) and it's all the way up to his shoulder. You have no idea how cool it is to be able to see all his tats clearly these days... Had to be there in the beginning, he was constantly covering his arm to not offend korean sensibilities. In appearances and even in their shows like run bts he would have long sleeves or they'd blur his arm, even having to cover hand tats with Band-Aids for award shows etc. There was a hullabaloo when ARMY realized that you could kind of see the tats in a reflection in a video. I'm glad he doesn't feel like he has to hide them any more unless it's required by the situation. (Pretty sure he still has to cover them for Korean shows on network tv).
They all have a 7 on them somewhere to commemorate being BTS, but other than that Jimin is the only other member with tattoos. He's got NEVERMIND across his ribs (makes me think of Yoongi's song "Nevermind, it's not easy but engrave it on your chest"), Young Forever above his elbows on the backs of his arms, and a 13 on his wrist. He's got something on his back, but I don't know for sure the whole story on that and I don't think we've actually seen it yet, he's just talked about having it.

About Jimin’s back tattoos - he has the moon cycle going down his spine! We’ve only had glimpses of it (it starts from the bottom of his nape). According to Jimin, Tae showed him fanart an army made of Jimin having the moon cycle going down his spine. Jimin really liked it and decided to make it a reality!

erm americans pronounce mirror as meerar. there is no v in the korean language.. americans pronounce aunt as ant.. it’s bizarre when americans comment on pronounciation of english words when americans pronounce many english words different to the way words are suppose to be pronounced. since english was created by the english/brits , the way they pronounce their english words is the proper way. 👍🏼

BTS enjoys fashion, but for most of them comfort and convenience comes first, hence the shoes.... I've OFTEN seen V wear his oxfords, sneakers and other lace-up regular shoes with his heel smushing down and standing on the back of the shoe so he can just slip it off and be more comfortable (he also has fallen arches, which may play another role in how/what he wears for shoes)
English spelling of asian languages is so strange. I watched how people struggled with reading correctly Japaneese words that was written in English when in reality Japaneese sounds are mostly so easy. Korean sounds are more difficult but English spelling making it much worse. In my language spelling of their names is very straight forward and it is almost impossible to mess up pronunciation (yes, it is not exactly as original, but close enough). But in English? Oh man. Like I see Korean names spelled in English and think how the f I should read it? So much letters that shouldn't be there.
So, yeah, Jungkook is more Chungkook and Jimin is more Chimin but not exactly. Somewhere in between J and Ch. I think with Jin it's a little more complicated but in general if you see Korean word that starts with J this is most likely would sound like Ch.
JK has full sleeve now. And he covered some of the tattoos you see here with different ones. I think now he has BULLET PROOF instead of the eye tattoo.
Jimin also has several tattoos.
All of them have frienship tattoos with "7" somewhere on their bodies and only Yoongi still didn't show us where his 7 tattoo is. Sneaky cat.

Truth. Learning Hangeul makes pronunciation a lot easier. I still struggle with some sounds and how they're romanized though cause ae, oe, and e all sound like a long a, wi and ui both just sound like we... they sound so similar to me but they're all different vowels and I can't hear the difference... Help! I'm drowning in korean vowels...

@@Jurnalist_ Yeah, I only made it part of the way through because you said you wanted to see how well THEY knew each other. I heard a lot about you and your opinions about shoes. V's mules (as you called them) are a wardrobe staple for him. One - they're probably Gucci or LV. Two - throughout the years we've noticed that he seems to prefer open or no shoes at all. It may be due to the fact that he has cholinergic uticaria and his feet may be a problem area.
