I just installed this door today after watching your video last night to see how it’s done and got damn doors easy to install! Thanks for the video
Thank you for this! Lowe’s tried telling me it was difficult and should pay them to install. Now because of your video, I know I can save that money. Appreciate it!
Nice walkthrough!
thank you... Can't wait to install mine next month !
I watched your video closely several times and also another video by another Carpenter came back to yours a couple more times one thing I might add is you should stop the camera in certain places like at the bottom like at the top so people can see if it fits over the brick mold or in between the brick mold little odds and ends like that otherwise it was real informative and I put my first 36-in door up today and I looked at the instructions but your video was way better than the one from Larson Company. Thanks for taking the time to load that up but like I said Slow Down the camera so people can get a really good look and that will answer questions thanks a lot brother have have a great day.
Super Easy...Just follow the instructions!!!
Appreciate this video. Considering this one ourselves and y'all make it look like we can do it ourselves and not get charged by the contractor putting in the front entry door we're also changing out.
Yep...I'm sure you can do it. We just installed the same door for the back since it was so easy...👍🏾
@@cedmac3366 Haven't done it yet. We have a contractor installing a new front door in June, but I'm going to take on the storm door myself. I'll check in after we install it!
Thanks bro!
About to order this door. Are the four screws around the trim easy to cover? I understand their purpose but they stand out pretty good.
Good question...yes I also noticed that. Im guessing you can just use caulk or paint to cover those 4 screws. Honestly I dont really pay much attention to them.
What I will say is...its still much worth it to see those 4 screws instead of dealing with any other type of door...trust me!!!
@@cedmac3366 I haven’t yet. I just installed the XL pet door on the back door of the house. Going to order this tomorrow for the front. Been looking at it and this seems the best you can get.
I countersunk the outer screws that show put a little caulking over it and touched it up with the trim paint and you'll never see them good luck
What is the exact measures of you frame? My frame opening is 36 x 80
By the way I've been a carpenter for a little over 40 years and the old Larson doors were not as easy as this and I'm going to replace my front door with one of these doors the door I have now has been up somewhere around 38 years and it still works but the hinges are getting a little worn out. I like the idea that they are squared up that's probably the best thing they ever did. Have a great day.
