I get what you’re saying, but I’m pretty sure that this is not the case. They announced almost everything coming next update many months ago… and obviously a complete redesign/ design from the ground up of the graphics engine isn’t made in 3 months. I also think that the release of AC Evo won’t take a lot of iRacers, because imo these two sims cater to different groups. Afaik Kunos hasn’t talked about online races yet.
@@SteckerNico it will likely reduce some of the peak times, and some of the free content racers are likely to reduce. As the main audience of iRacing is slightly different from the core audience of EVO, though a lot of iRacers are going to hop on EVO but it wont be the main sim for racing.

They can only optimize so far. VE is graphically intensive and most people arent running 4090s. They expect their midgrade pc and VR set to run at 90 fps. You can always scale back the graphics but doesnt make any sense for iracing to stop forward progress
Hey jack first time viewer came across your 12 month sub to iracing for me being in uk last night first time for iracing for me after playing f124 for few years now and looking for new sim and looks like am joining at right time this new update looks amazing and the new ui update looks so much nicer and cleaner now and like too how your getting telematry added too which is bonus 😍👏👌also just got my fsr moza rim as of today also treated myself to black friday special and cant wait to use it on my fanatec csl dd base after xmas when i move to pc for iracing so thanks for shouting out this cheeky offer for iracing deffo gonna sign up 😍👏

When I had a quick look through the forum post myself I noticed that they have scanned the Miami International Autodrome which is the Miami f1 circuit and we’ll be getting in a future build (a couple of the screenshots are actually of the circuit I think)😀😀. 🤞 this means they continue scanning some of the other f1 tracks. it would be awesome to drive single seaters around floodlit circuits like Vegas or Singapore… especially when we get the new lighting model. 🤞🤞😍😍
I drive with the AI at 81% and they are extremely life like to me, those bastards will dive bomb you and everything. I found that if I turn it down lower then 71% which lowers it from Pro to Hot Ones they tend to become too easy and then it’s not authentic feeling. I’ve tried it on Alien mode and yeah I’m not good enough for that at all they abused me. Love to see iRacing staying motivated to improve the service, there is nothing like iRacing IMO.
For the UI when your driving, I wish they would let you keep the legacy one and choose which to be legacy and which to not be legacy. I like the legacy UI quite a bit.

Kunos is moving away from deferred rendering, because it causes performance problems, especially in VR. I was living reading the update until I got to that bit. Very worried now!

a Few things frustrate me as much as iRacing. You pay for a monthly subscription, but then you still have to buy most of the content separately. It’s not that I can’t afford it; I just don’t want to keep spending like that. If there’s going to be a monthly subscription, I feel it should cover all the cars and tracks without needing additional purchases. its like taking a piss on your customers! Any spare time I have to race on my high-end simulator won’t be wasted on iRacing. My time is too valuable to spend money on a toxic platform, community and environment
I am hoping that in iRacing 2025 they include a button option for tire wear to show you the wear of the LF, LR, RF, RR during a race. I know currently you cannot see the wear until you pit and change your tires in Nascar Next Gen (oval tracks). I understand this is a more realistic sim racing, but this sim is not just for the professionals but for people starting out as well and what will it hurt to just have a toggle switch in the settings to show tire wear. I only race against AI during an AI season because I am new...would be nice to learn the tracks and see where I am with tire wear to help me improve for racing against real people. I mean during a iRacing online season you can disable this feature for serious racers. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
Its hard to beat Unreal 5 why dont they just go with the best. They should have a 3d model showing car adjustments when dealing with setup to see what you are adjust and how much etc.. Mean while just up grade the fence while dirt is burning down.. Also need to refer the Kids back to WoO on Xbox and Ps5. Also rethink the iRating system...
Beacuse the 499P is not in IMSA thats why it's not in iRacing (yet) and the Ferrari won't be driveable in the IMSA series....it will be in the Endurance series and a new GTP serie.

And graphics updates that were modern in the nighties... 😂 sorry it's kind of ridiculous hearing about these "innovations" if you're a graphic engineer (or a gamer in the modern day, I guess). UI updates that literally every other sim had for almost a decade. Don't get me wrong I really appreciate the updates and I will surely enjoy them. This is my primary Sim these days, but given the money they earn, I somehow don't feel this is the max output they can provide. Thanks for the video, btw!
For me I kinder like iracing graphics, I don’t like graphics where everything looks perfect and clean. Iracing is like im in an imperfect world and I like it.

I'm always happy with iRacing updates. I've only ever wanted one single thing to be added, setup compare in the garage. Anything else is a bonus.

Honestly it's coming off like they're doing this at this time mainly to make sure that AC Evo doesn't take too many players.

They've said the main reasons for the graphics changes are optimization. So that would inherently help VR users.
