Double Room, Travelodge in Elephant & Castle, London, April 2024!

Recently stayed here for one night - very cheap mid week rates for bed and breakfast, around £120 booked a week before stay, 1/3 the price of nearby hotels, though a day or two before rates were very similar to other hotels.
It took less than a minute to check in - great start.
Room was lovely, nice and clean, felt quite new and fresh, just want you want at the end of a long day in London. Views were fab from the really high floor I stayed on - 10 levels + to this hotel - request a high floor, as a major train line literally is underneath you. It was super quiet high up though. Tv above the bed was great addition.
Great part about the location is it is just a short walk (5 mins) to Elephant & Castle station for trains / tube connections to all the major zone 1 locations and beyond.
Breakfast was included in price, full English, cereals, pastries, with juice and coffee machines available. Full English was decent quality, yoghurts were nice (Yeo Valley) and juice was really nice and refreshing. Flat white quantity was a bit small for the coffee machine - nothing a double press doesn’t fix though!
All in all, a really good Travelodge - slightly above what I expected based off of previous experiences - the staff were all great, from check in, to check out. Not in your face, they’ve got the balance just right.
