- Footballers Pernille Harder and Magdalena Eriksson have teamed up with charity Common Goal and pledged 1% of their salaries to help tackle social issues throughout the game.

The couple, who famously made headlines for kissing after a match at the 2019 Women's World Cup, say that the reaction to that moment helped them to realise 'we're really powerful together' and inspired them to continue to push for equality and LGBTQ+ rights in sport.

I was expecting a lot of nasty comments, either creepy or homophobic, but I was wrong and am so happy about that. I do wonder if the reactions would be the same were it men, though. The ones who are positive here would be equally natural about it, but in general, there are many bigots who will post creepy comments when it's girls, but be hateful when it's men.

That's so beautiful & sweet. In the US there are alot Female Basketball Players in the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) and although some get married some don't get their happy ending.
