Call the tournament the heartening, and the arena the hearth, where the winner is titled the hearth keeper, until the next heartening. Idk what perks come w/ being the hearth keeper, probably just bragging rights, but idk it sounds cool and has a theme of the kingdom being a flame in this barren tundra.
I get that I might not get picked bc I’ve already named Tim and Ber, but it’s certainly an idea.
Also it should be an 4 or 8-person tournament and not just a 1v1

It would be cool if somehow it increases suppression for the winner and all slaves around them but I don't know if there are any mods that would allow for that
You could call the Tournament Day "The Blood Solstice"
Seems solid, but I think "the deluge of blood" would work as well
Most medieval castles were made up of several layers of defense. Usually a moat surrounding an external wall. The outer wall can hold less important facilities(in the series it could be the slave shelters and farms). Followed by an inner wall which protects more important structures like multiple baileys, stables, workshops, and barracks. The keep or the residence, is the last and largest defensive structure built inside the inner walls, the last stand and main residence. It'd be really cool to see multi-layer defenses featured in the Eternal Flame and it will be helpful for future sieges and rifts that might compromise an area of the castle.

Lore Idea: This winter world is a prison planet where they dump the unwanted. The planet has a frozen magic core giving the planet the endless winter and magic ability. Should they leave the planet they will lose the magic effect of the core. The prison wardens sit in orbit stations playing god watching these medieval empires and influence them leading to glory or death like some kinda sick twisted video game.
Ideas for lore and small details:
-To continue the dynesty "Snow Drop" will need a husband, and the best husband for her would be a deserting knigh from another faction/empire.The best way for it to happend should be one of the prison camps, where they request help and you will rescue them(idk if it´s possible or is it random), but would be a fun lore idea.
-You should call the tournament something like: Winter games, frozen heart tournament, the freezing dual. Also the slave that wins the tournament should get a better room, and for the next year tournament they should get better gear, and so on and forth, and if they win an "x" amount of tournaments in a row they should be let free, like if they have been proven worthy of freedom.
-Another idea for a more immersive gameplay/lore should be when "Rosh" dies, "Snow Drop" should be crown queen, since in the medievel times when the king died the current queen didn´t had any "power" and since "Zippy" was a slave you should make it the same, so Zippy as "power" when "Rash" is king thats why "Snow Drop" should be crown queen when his father dies and "Caz" now "Asa" should be titled "The princess of the land".
-You should make an event every year in game wich is called "The frozen feast" where everyone in the Keep, even slaves eat together and have fun day, and make some sort of activaties.

Lore for rosh
Hes family has a giant kingdom but he was the youngest in the family and he was always left out. But he diceded to learn a lot of stuff so he can create he's own kingdom so he can make his family proud. So he took some of he's dad's wealth and he started his own kingdom
For a Bison name I suggest Bowboo for a female Bison (Preferably a calf also so it can grow up alongside the Princess), with the lore idea being its a favorite Bison of the Princess with a bow on her head that is often lost beneath her fur and thus rarely seen
It would be funny to name one of the Bisons as "Bill" and one of the Muffalos as "Mill'.
It would be like "Bison Bill" & "Muffalo Mill", silly but funny :^V
Could call the tournament something like "Watering the Furrows"
The French national anthem basically goes that the blood of the impure will water the furrows of the farms. I think that, given the warmth of blood in the snowy environment, it goes really hard.

For the Holidays name, I’d go for “The Festival of The Blood Moon”. Due to it being a fighting festival at night. ☺️
And you could make the slaves fight and which ever slave wins, they could have their freedom?

Hey just wanted to give the big rat (that makes all the rules) a lore idea! In this land there are of course the impids, though they could not have been a natural species, but instead a result of this nuclear winter, as to which had been going on for plenty of years before this series, thus allowing for them to become more than just mutants but instead a species with their own biologies and abilities?
You could also call the tournament "The Culling Day" I feel as if it sounds both exciting for the Imperial denizens and terrible for those who will compete ^^

Name idea, call the gladiator holiday Running of the Blade, the lore behind it would be that those of poverty of slavery could either run into the cold and have the freedom they desired or they could duel to gain wealth and fame.
This is my favorite of your rimworld series

You could call the Tournament the Night of Crimson Snows, and tie it into some kind of ritual where the people of the township offer some life back to the thing that they take their life from (being the land itself or specifically symbolic of their crops etc.) Maybe to drive this home, in the times around the festival, they keep the dryads in the arena, and plant flowers around the interior so it is more like a peaceful little greenhouse when not in use.
Tournament day should be called “The Celebration of Combat.”

Hey Rat knight i heard that some people in Rimworld Using Melee combat animations mod for Rimworld it will made Battle More Epic cause they have Execution Move in all kind of melee weapon you Using and they also Fighting melee animations
lore idea: rosh's family once ruled over a large empire their empire was so powerful that other factions and tribes that used to hate each other teamed up in order to take down the empire because they fear that they would soon be conquered and either be enslaved or genocide
so after many years of brutal figthing and the casualties in the hundreds of thousands rash's family empire finally collapse after loosing another massive battle rash's family was able to flee before the allied factions took control of there capital
however one by one rash's family was killed, assassinated, or went missing till his great great great grandfather and grandmother were left they managed to survive because they changed there last names and after a couple decades rash is born and he inherited all of the great traits of the emperor of his family's empire that's why he has great leadership skills
A possible name for the tournament could be "The Trial of Starlight" as it is during the night. also you could call Limaoin "the Grand Seer" for all the knowledge they have bought to your Clan
You could call the Tournament day "Rat Knights Rat Fight" Or "Rat Knights Fight Night"
Any slave that wins on tournament day should be given the “Grand Slave Room” their own room that is bigger and better than all the other slave rooms. Then the next time that day comes around they have to defend the right to stay in the big room. Also, just like any gladiator. They should be able to win their freedom and or be actually recruited into the ranks.
I got 3 ideas
1 name Lim the Beholder of the flame since she is in charge of the library and would have the most knowledge of their ideology and be able to give spiritual advice to the colonists
2 add a champion's chamber where the winner of the gladiator arena gets to stay aslong as the slave is the champion so that the slaves have motivation to fight so that they have something to fight for aswell as making them more willing to fight each other and making the risk of injury or death worth it
3 the 2 blood guards should have chambers either close to the throne room or the Yarl's bedroom so that they would always be close to their leader aswell as just giving them benefits since they risk their lives every day for their leader and they should have double beds so that their partners could also stay with them so that they wouldn't have to sneak out at night for some fun under the sheets with their lover😏

Lore for tournament: life in North is hard and cruel even a civilized dynastie being a killer was a natural rule. First it was for cut the weak from slave population of kingdom but in time become practice of killing a practice real simulator of combat for young bloods of dynastie and kingdom. Also place for execution of captured anemy by young one for become blooded and Not always place for fight to death

Id go with night of the blood tribute.. In honour of your viking ancestors you still keep their traditions of fightng and and dying in the battle living by staging a small scale gladiator fight..

I think the fitting name for the Tournament is Blood Bath
Major respect for Rick, brother got a message from his lover to join her and wasted no time to join her side once more.
Also I think the Bison could have some wood or fabric based names, the father bison could be Wool(ford) and the mother bison Cotton. And maybe for the Moofalo (I'm not sure if I'm remembering it's name right) but you should name it Manny after the poofy Mammoth himself.

For the tournament I have a couple of suggestions but I'm not sure if they'll get your approval.
They are:
The Crimson-Snow Duel, as the battle will leave blood on the snow below it.
The Frozen Steel Tournament.
Winter's Wrath.
The Blizzard.
You should make class specific gladiators like one is heavily armored but has no weapons and another is a glass cannon

Why not call the tournament "The Kindling" as a reference to the faction's name but also since it's an event meant to reinvigorate the people's spirit like keeping their souls ablaze.
Honestly this whole series kinda reminds me of the Russian empire's time period but with magic. A medieval tsardom in a frozen land.
I'm interested to see where this story is heading though!
