Great video! It such a time capsule of the shows and performances of the time. Reminds me of all the Christmas and Easter parade specials! I had a VHS library of everything from those specials, Disney Channel segments with Eric Boardman, news stories, ‘going to WDW’ TV episodes. Great stuff!!

Glad you liked it. I loved all those shows and segments, too. Love the Eric Boardman stuff. Do you still have your videos? I've been transferring some and hoping they are still in good enough condition. Some are, some just don't make it.

When the city of Anaheim unites as one It's a beautiful site to behold This was during the era where The Angels owner Gene Autry's (God rest his soul) health started to decline and Disney until 2003 always had a steak of ownership in the ball club since the Angels moved to Orange county in 1966 That's why from 66 to 03 there were a lot of collaborations between Disney and the Angels. In 1995 Gene autry sold 25% of the ball club to Disney and in 1998 he passed away and his widow, Jackie Autry sold the rest to Disney so by 1998 Disney fully owned the Angels and during those years Even though the Walt Disney company itself wasn't doing all that great did a wonderful job of owning the Angels investing heavily into scouting and the farm system. They also Renovated the stadium and it all cultivated in 2002 when the Angels won the World Series which for folks who are too young or folks that aren't from the Orange county area was a BIG DEAL It was the best time to be an Angel fan the wonders that Disney did to that franchise is incomprehensible. And had an echo effect throughout the rest of the 2000s even after Disney sold the team. Disney sold the Angels to Arte Moreno in 2003 and the team hasn't been the same since Disney sold it.

I bet this is the same or similar show they did at the 1988 All Star Game in Cincinnati (probably branded for WDW)
A great way to start the season and it likely didn't cost much. It doesn't take very much thought to see how many of the costs for that production could have been offset by tax deductions.

If I recall correctly, Disney did a whole touring thing of this. I'd thought it had been in the '80s, but perhaps it was in 1991.
In any event, they went to many major league stadiums (perhaps all of them) and basically put on this same show. I saw it at the Astrodome in Houston.
I distinctly recall the "It's Baseball!" song. Seeing that here brought back memories.

5:41: Why is this song sound familiar

The song you're hearing at 5:41 is from the stage musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."
