Much like knightfall catwoman before her, punchline should have had a mischievous smile. Not this "you owe child support and taxes" district attorney look
This is a weird comment to make but within the context of the story I feel Joker is in his thirties and Punchline in her twenties, nothing odd there, but in my mind because the Joker (and several other DC mainstays) have been around so long I feel he's a much older man and Punchline is very much a kid, that's how I perceive them and it makes me a little uncomfortable, but that's all in my head! Also, great to see Jason's a fan of Casually Comics and so is Comic Drake, also a great channel.
I think joker is in his forties, he and batman are atleast the same age and right now in the comics, with all the mention of batmans age, I think its safe to say he's atleast 40
@@ArsonArhan101 Agreed, I feel that Bruce Wayne left Gotham as a young man, almost 20, travelled learning martial arts and detective skills for 7 to 10 years making him between 27 and 30 when he started out as Batman, then he encountered Talia who got pregnant with Damian who is now fourteen so the youngest he can he is early to mid forties.
@@5POAFigureReviews True but remember the Joker is meant to be an arch villain, not some misunderstood, tragic or fallen hero, so he's supposed to do some despicable things.
Punchline's been written well enough to not be written off as just a Harley 2.0, or even an anti-Harley. She debuted in Joker War, but really showed her chops in the aftermath during her incarceration. Punchline took over the prison by ousting Royal Flush inmates running the joint, engineered a social media blitz to gain sympathy, and from prison moved chess pieces into place to guarantee acquittal. All the while showing how merciless, manipulative and psychopathic she is. I'd actually rather see McFarlane do the new Superman villain Red Cloud. She can seriously hurt Superman physically, and came close to killing him, with no Kryptonite, magic, red sunlight or brute strength.
It’s really not that bad. Punchline is very well painted despite the weird hunching thing. That permanent ball instead of a second dagger really does suck though. Her face is really great.
Punchline is a fun figure. Casually comics is a great resource for comic info. Oh the reuse ♻️ Glad the reuse isn’t so obvious. Can’t wait to see your review of the Green Transparent Knightfall Catwoman body (cough cough Fire) figure. I thought the yellow ball was a bottle of Chambord. That’s just the Boozehound in me.
I WONDERED ABOUT THE ORANGE BALL TOO UNTIL I SAW IT'S A GRENADE/BOMB. FOUND AN IMAGE OF HER HOLDING ONE BUT THEY DIDN'T PAINT THE FACE DRAWN ON OR PAINT THE BINDING (LIL STRAPS GOING AROUND IT EVEN THOUGH THEY DID SCULPT THE Xs FOR THE EYES AND THE MOUTH AND THE BINDING.
@@5POAFigureReviews she and Comic Tropes are top tier. I do go back and listen other channels for the occasional recap of a storyline I've already read. Unfortunately, I usually disagree with the narrator over what certain things meant.
Great review!! And I just realized something, Punchline doesn’t have her ear rings. (Idk anything about Punchline myself but based off the picture they used in the box and card she’s at least supposed to have them on her left ear) Not a big deal but something I noticed
i'll probably end up picking this pack up. im not someone whos able to justify multiple versions of one character and i've been trying to settle on a joker and this one is pretty good, and while i dont know anything about punchline, i am thinking i can use some of her parts for a custom of Fem V from cyberpunk. been thinkin about it since i started a second run.
Nice review! I have this on preorder. I’m glad to see Punchline’s skirt was handled well. I’m assuming there is no weird crotch piece under her skirt like with supergirl.
Was on the fence till I saw the head swap. I only have the 1st release joker. A swanky look, you should try the vampire joker on the body with the black shirt...the fence part for me is her face. She looks unimpressed...and she isn't bonkers like Har buuuuut she ain't all there either lol.
Always appreciate the many head swaps but we don’t agree on what looks best. The head that comes on this Joker is weak, his upper lip crammed up to nose is too weird / bad. I’d toss it in the trash can. The Mortal Kombat Joker version is the best head ever made so far which makes it look good on anything. The Clown Joker head is 2nd best so once again, it’s a good look. You showed those from front only & they looked cool but that neck peg on this body is so thin it probably looks off from the side view. A front & side view would be very helpful. I’m being nit-picky but I’d like to see all the angles. This is a pass for me, want a perfect Joker but Toddy Mac refuses to make certain characters spot-on.
You think for JOKER ll they will just Finnally give us a fugure. Sure, R rated, but Deadpool has a Marvel Legend. I don't see why not. They would sell out, lol - Luke
I doubt it. It's not about McFarlane; it's whether or not Warner Discovery merchandises the film, and historically they have not done so with their edgier DC content, like Joker, Titans, or the Harley Quinn series. That said, with Folie a Deux predicted to suffer at the box office because it's a musical, they might cave to cover their losses.
Yeah, I really struggled on that one, and I do think a solid argument could be made to have given them a 4/5 on that, but I was just so pleased otherwise with their range (especially with Punchline's legs) that I felt it balanced out.
The face, more so the jawline and the eyes don’t capture the essence of the character for me. Also, Punchline seems dainty by design, but the smaller head makes her look jacked. Just my opinion. Thanks!

Punchline got a figure before Harley Quinn💀(That BTAS one doesn't count)
I think it's because of the easy Catwoman reuse myself. There are so so many Harleys we need.

Punchline's body looks surprisingly good but the face makes me think she is a cosplayer
How in the world did we get Punchline before any of the 800 comic versions of Harley Quinn? What the actual hell..?
Because they could reuse Catwoman, and Catwoman reuse will always win the coin toss for female figures
