Ormonde is a gelding, therefore a male. I just watched a video where there could be absolutely no mistaked on that! I don't normally check the undercarriage of the horses but that was hard to miss as he left the box for guard change!! Everyone I watch for horse guards has always referred to him as he or him. Those guards are very good at their jobs. When they see a child, watch their rein hand. You will see that they have gripped the reins and are on alert when a child, particularly one who is unaccompanied. Most people do not even notice. The horses are trained to respond to their rider.

There's a feisty mare too who looks like Ormonde has been coaching. She's a darling. John on London City Walks videos knows most of their names, sure he mentioned the Mare the other day? Check him out. One day Ormonde and she were both on box duty. Ormonde took chunk out of someone trying to sneak through the box, guard yelled at them to get out the way they came in and Ormonde went for them again. What a legend he is. He's been promoted from Trooper to Major, one of the videoers said last week. Well done our Major Ormonde, looks like extra biting went well? ❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 one of the soldiers in the barracks came out and shut back doors of box to stop it happening again. Some people too lazy to walk to side gate.

Yesterday a horse had ahold of a woman’s sleeve and would not let go, she was looking at the guard like “ help me” . The guard did though, he got the horse to let go.

King’s Guard horses and soldiers are so patient with the public. Ormonde is my favorite-reminding everyone he is here to work, not pose for silly pictures.
Well Done Ormonde....had to laugh when the bell went and he soon looked to the back of him, probably thinking there was his replacement there. Some of the tourists would test the patience of a Saint! Kudoos to both horse and trainor.
From comments I've read on other channels those in charge want tourists to take photos with the guards and I wonder if dear Arnie hasn't come back because of nipping said tourists. I hope not. Arnie brought a lot of joy. Ormonde is gorgeous as well and takes no prisoners. Hopefully he'll be around a long time.

That horse may have a sense of humour because intelligent animals seem to have a sense of humour. My old work dog played a prank on me one day. I was leaning against my ute (dog caged in the back) talking to one of the workers. I was guarding a gate. We had been chatting for about 10min so the dog was perfectly comfortable in his cage. SUDDENLY he let out this MASSIVE bark and SMASHED into the cage door. I jumped about 12 inches in the air, spun around and saw my dog standing up with a large canine smile, sparkling eyes, and a wagging tail as if to say "GOTCHA". The worker thought it was hilarious what MY working dog did to ME. I let him win that one. Naughty dog.

Having virtually no previous knowledge of horses except knowing to hold your hand flat to give a carrot and that they need shoes, even I could have seen when a horse or in fact any animal wouldn't want to be touched. It's all about the tourist being there at the right time for a selfie and bugger anyone or thing else. 😠
Actually most balanced well trained horse like to be touched. Do not touch their reins unless you intend to lead the horse. Be gentle. The horse will know if you have good intentions. There are heaps of clips where the horse is enjoying a nice rub from a member of the public. There is even a clip where a King's Guard horse is rubbing his head against a woman's chest as she strokes his neck. A beautiful moment of shared trust and respect. I am sure that she owns or loves horses and the horse sensed it.
I LOVE Ormonde!! He doesn't put up with nothing. Get back you obnoxious tourons!! I think Ormonde passes the time by seeing how many tourons he can nip in an hour! 🤣😂
He sure was giving that fat little white dog the side eye at around 38+ seconds in. The dog’s owner knew it, too - she didn’t waste any time getting the picture taken and then moving away. Smart lady! 😂😂😂

Actually most balanced well trained horse like to be touched. Do not touch their reins unless you intend to lead the horse. Be gentle. The horse will know if you have good intentions. There are heaps of clips where the horse is enjoying a nice rub from a member of the public. There is even a clip where a King's Guard horse is rubbing his head against a woman's chest as she strokes his neck. A beautiful moment of shared trust and respect. I am sure that she owns or loves horses and the horse sensed it.
