He's right about the audience choosing the songs. At wacken we wanted Crusader, wasn't on the set list. He he literally put the list in his mouth, chewed it up... and played Crusader. Bloody brilliant.
Thirty-eight years? I've been listening to this band for thirty-eight f**king years?!!! 1979. "Frozen Rainbow" dropped my jaw and I've never looked back. Can't wait for it, boys. Getting heavier every time I hear you. Much love. Much respect. "Where were YOU in '79, when the dam began to burst?"
I had tickets for the Motorhead and Saxon tour in Houston, but it was one of the dates Lemmy had to cancel. However, Saxon was able to scramble and put together a show of their own, and what a show it was! Wow! Small but VERY loud crowd of all Saxon fans in a small room at the Houston HoB. Top five show for me. Saxon played for about 2 hours, must have been 20 songs. Could not ask for more. We got Dogs of War, as well as "I Gotta Rock (to Stay Alive)". The fans were really amped up. Cheering very loudly (as if screaming for encore) for at least the first 30 minutes of the show.
Graham Oliver performed in a local pub in suffolk " The Bitch in the ditch" ( lady of the lake) to about 100 people n man he was fuckin awesome ,around oct 2017

They have always given value for money and never projected the Rock Star image.....My First Gig was Saxon 1980!
