I can laugh when people say let them go against a boxer....ok then how about we make it a full contact fight without any protective gears not even gloves and yes all karate kicks will be allowed...match will end with boxer on ventilator.
I train karate and dont say that. Boxers are better than us in stand ups. Our only way to beat them is to learn groumd game wich is out of the karate of today so no we cant beat a boxer... What are you going to do really ashi uramawashi him. Hahahahahahahah

Anecdotal, but unfortunately - I've had numerous occasions to apply it in practice and believe me - it is very practical, especially evasion, swiping and body kicks.
