  • DIVINE PERSISTENCE | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (April 14, 2024)
    We are on the Third Sunday of Easter; and in today’s gospel, the Risen Lord appears again to his disciples. They are still troubled; questions arise in their hearts-and so the Lord assures them: “Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.”
    Then Jesus eats with them and, as in the past, guides them again to an understanding of who he is: "Thus, it is written that the Christ would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance, for the forgiveness of sins, would be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things."
    The Risen Lord opens their mind, and commissions them to give witness to him. The Lord does not give up on his disciples. Easter is about divine persistence to renew persons and the world.

    Today Sunday Catholics will flock to the church prepared to be one with Jesus in his sacrifice because that's the chagrin of the venerable Cardinal Tagle: "how can we teach the community that the holy eucharist is being one with Jesus in his sacrifice (papaano natin maituturo sa sambayanan na ang banal na mesa ay pakikiisa kay Jesus sa kanyang sacrifice)

    I cannot see how Cardinal Tagle can lead young people to a sense of purpose by teaching them to go to hear mass for the purpose of being one with Jesus in His sacrifice

    Divine persistence is another mystery that lay hidden the victory of christianism over paganism

    The disciples lead by Cleopas on the way to Emaus were talking about the story of what happened to Jesus but Jesus exclaimed to them " oh how foolish you are" then Jesus exposed the words to them and perform the holy eucharist - the breaking of the bread

    Belivers of the venerable Cardinal Tagle will go to church today to be one with Jesus in his sacrifice instead going to church to join the banquet of the lord thereby making god be with them

    Could divine persistence binds man to perform his obligation in his covenant with God?

  • @antoniocanoy2642

    The gospel on third Sunday is the institution of the holy eucharist..He exposed the scripture to them then he perform the breaking of the bread.That is how holy mass shall be held.Expose first the gospel of the celebrated mass then break the transubstanced bread for the participants of the banquet to eat.

  • @antoniocanoy2642

    How can God's persistence be consistent with man's obligation in the covenant with God?

  • @antoniocanoy2642
    @antoniocanoy2642 9 місяців тому

    Until the third Sunday of Easter.christians lost the sense of purpose of Jesus' death and resurrection . Hence how can we lead young people to a sense of purpose?

  • @antoniocanoy2642
    @antoniocanoy2642 9 місяців тому

    To rely on divine persistence makes man believe that the holy eucharist is being one with Jesus in his sacrifice "banal na mesa ay pakikiisa kay Jesus sa kanyang sacrificio."

    Jesus Christ exclaimed to Cleopas " oh how foolish you are." Can't we stop being foolish?

    To rely on divine persistence makes christians oblivious of their duty in their covenant with God

  • @antoniocanoy2642
    @antoniocanoy2642 9 місяців тому

    The gospel during the third Sunday of Easter proclaimed the sense of purpose of the holy eucharist.Dine persistence is in same nature as the story of Cleopas to which Jesus exclaimed " Oh how foolish you are".

    In very much the same manner to rely on the glorious wounds is akin to paganism

    This gospel is not about divine persistence or divine stubbornness,rather this is .about the prescription how to perform,celebrate holy eucharist.First thing to do is to feed the word was God then do the breaking of the bread

  • @antoniocanoy2642
    @antoniocanoy2642 9 місяців тому

    Dine persistence lead young people to observe pagan way or pagan path of life because it teach them that the holy eucharist (Ang banal na mesa) is being one with Jesus in his sacrifice. The gospel exposed as divine persistence is actually Jesus' way of celebrating holy eucharist.

  • @antoniocanoy2642

    Proclaiming divine stubbornness and divine persistence is doing a Duterte proclaiming "Estupado talagang ginoong Yan"

  • @antoniocanoy2642
    @antoniocanoy2642 9 місяців тому

    The words exposing divine persistence nullify the covenant with God because christians will abandon observance of all his commandments relying on God's persistence to save them.

    • @antoniocanoy2642

      It is quite despairing to hear, from the Cardinal groomed to become pope, that the holy eucharist is being one with Jesus in His sacrifice.I had always been taught that the holy eucharist is a banquet, such that after eating in that banquet God will with the hearers of the holy mass.

  • @antoniocanoy2642

    To preach young people to go to mass to be one with Jesus in His sacrifice will lend substance to Jesus Christ's exclamation "oh how foolish you are"

    Jesus' sense of purpose by showing himself alive and wounded is not in any manner a showcase of divine stubbornness or to put it mildly divine persistence.He merely proved the victory of christianism over paganism that was practiced by the Jews in Jerusalem during Passover festival.. Unfortunately the Jewish paganism is still the path of life of the Catholics todate.

      The world persist to live the life of the prodigal son and continue doing the acts of the Jews in the temple of Jerusalem during Passover festival when Jesus declare war against those who make his father's house a market place, believing on the divine persistence of God
