Read please…. Im hoping you read this comment, however, after looking up over 20+ videos yours is by far the best. Not many will understand the importance of every single thing you post (list, verbally, steps) in chronological order that helps one understand what you’re doing here in this video. I greatly appreciate what you did here. I hope your account is active and you see this. Thank you so much
thanks, and I like it. I'm having a problem with my drive belt tension. Now can I adjust either the drive or driven pulley to create more tension in the belt?
I have almost the most identical golf carts you I'm having issues too I don't know what's going on Belt looks is dry rotted a little bit but like I let it I've been letting it sit but I don't have that big tube like you but I'm not getting any power like when I hit the gas I'm just not going I'm only going like 2 miles per hour I don't understand what's going on can you please help me
I’ve got a 2011 rxv gas. When I push throttle it winds up and then jerks to take off. If I’m parked on a hill it’s twice as bad. I’ve jacked it up and clutches seem to be engaging correctly. Idk what’s wrong. It’s like it takes it a min to get wound up. Could it be a girl problem?
Ok. No problem. You definitely should should some more tutorials bro. You were clear, well spoken, descriptive. Qualities that a lot of ppl miss. Just my 2 cents. Have a good day my dude.
yes they should have a fair bit of play, as the driver and driven pulleys expand and remove the slack. if you have the opportunity to safely lift and support the cart watch the pulleys move while it runs up to speed, its really neat to watch
1beastlydude Thank you. My cart is very well maintained and taken care of but some reason it has a jolt at low rpm almost like it’s slipping and it recently obtained a grinding noise that seems to be getting louder each week, my fluid levels are good I’ve never hammered on it I’ve had it ten years and out of nowhere it started this crap. I sprayed WD40 on the belt and that makes it run smoother temporarily, could be that the belt isn’t getting traction.. Just gonna drive it til something breaks and that’ll be what gets replaced lol. Thank you for the informational video, I can now rule out a loose belt :)
My belt has about 1/2 inch slack from the pulley and when I hit the gas the belt spins but is too lose to drive the axle and just spins around it. Should I replace the belt with a smaller one or is there anything else I could do?
@@1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat clutches??? Mine is slow and very weak up hills was thinking belt might be loose or clutch not engaging fully but I was not aware of more than one clutch.
Hey just wondering if you know why my cart would squeal when I step on the gas....it sometimes will go, but sometimes I have to hold the pedal down and rock the cart to eventually take off. Would that be the drive belt or the other belt? Thanks
Read please….

I'm still here, just been too busy and no motivation to make new videos. Thanks for the feedback, it helps a lot.

Thank you, sir! Quite informative. I am a complete novice and I am following you now...

well strat with changing the belt, since you say its dry rotted. if it wont accelerate, you may be looking at bad fuel or a dirty carburetor.

sounds like the primary clutch (on the engine side) is hanging up. or perhaps the belt has some bad spots
Im guessing there suppose to be loose right? because im trying to figure out why my golfcart slows down after using it for a few min.
loose at idle yes, why yours is slowing down, no clue... is the engine speed dropping> or just the cart speed?
Did you ever shoot the video showing how to change the starter generator belt?
No I have not..none have come through

I got a friend who took a Yamaha go kart and put a Honda 125 3 wheeler motor in it and it works
I like your videos but the belt is supposed to be that loose?? There’s like 3 or 4 inches of play in my belt. Is that normal?

Even when you rev the engine?, check the clutches one of them may not be engaging

If the engine doesn't rev it's the gen belt, tightening it should fix it, if the engine revs but won't move it's the drive belt
@@1beastlydudefixbreakrepeat thank you!
Thanks for the video. So there is supposed to be slack in the belt correct?
Yes , there is some slack
Why are the drive belt ribs up on the old belt that you removed and the ribs face down or inward on the replacement belt?
Barry Mcphail the old one had ribs on both sides ,it was the heavy-duty one.the new one was normal use
cool must be quite fast!
To easy! You did it 1 handed
