The reason why Beckham didn’t freak out was the way his Daddy reacted. Hunter didn’t panic and just picked him up and talked to him calmly. This is the same with any accident. If the parent or caregiver is calm the child remains more calm. This is particularly important with any accident that involves bleeding. Staying calm keeps the blood pressure down and prevents excessive bleeding
Fr this is why I’ve laughed every time my little brother bumped his head or something. The only time he freaks out is when my stepdad freaks out. And it’s like dude if you calmed down and didn’t swoop in when he stumbled onto carpet he wouldn’t be inconsolable for 3 minutes. Half the time I laughed my brother laughed because here wasn’t anything wrong. There was only once when I laughed after he fell and he started crying. That’s when I knew he was actually hurt. Just a little few knee scrapes and after a sit down and some water he was fine
So i was in a really bad car accident with my mom 2 months ago and You are SO RIGHT I panicked when the accident happened because my mom reacted. But she broke her spine so she was in pain so I started FREAKING OUT But then calmly reached for a phone and had to call my dad cause my mom couldn’t grab a phone But luckily there was an off duty paramedic/ firefighter who seen the accident happen so he ran right to everyones aid and called his chief to hurry up. And he also had to call the helicopter because someone was trapped in their car and she was badly hurt. I think the woman who had to be life flighted to the hospital broke her who entire spine and both her legs
Hi. Pediatric PT here. Since you have access to this pool all summer (yay) I would work on Beckham holding the side of the pool(adult hand over his hands) and let him feel true standing. U can put an adult foot in between his, if he scissors. I do this alot in therapy and the kiddos really start understanding their autonomy in standing. It's a really great thing!
Rachel your content is plenty and full of rich moments - you dont need scarey titles❤ got such a fright seeing the title and thinking it was a 911 level incident - it was amazing to see how many voluntary movements he made during the swim session - amazing 🏆⭐️
Beckham looked like he was trying to “mermaid” kick both legs together and then just propelled himself off the tube. Even after Hunter scooped him up, he was still kicking those legs! I think swim lessons would be great for him and y’all as his parents. I’ll bet he can learn to hold his breath, kick, roll to his back and float; things that would make him just a bit safer in the water. He so obviously LOVES the water. Y’all are the sweetest little family! Thanks for taking us along on your adventures! ❤️🙏💪
Oh Rachel that dive Beckham took was so typical of what happens in the water with kids! It’s usually how they experience going under for the 1st time! He was definitely stunned but also probably thought it was a little fun😬he clearly loves the water. The smiles were everything!🥰
Definitely! Hunter reacted so quickly and well. Quick safety tip: get him a swimsuit and jacket that are a brighter colour! He would do great in swim lessons, but you need to be able to see him immediately if he starts to struggle. If you compare them, Blakeley is much easier to see because of this. Every second counts when someone's under the water, Hunter did super well.
He may end up loving it. My grandson loves going underwater now. He is 4. He looked like any other 5 year old that goes under the first time. You guys rock!!!
I smiled all the time while Beckham was enjoying water and yes things like that incident happen and not because you're bad parents. I definitely would recomand swimming lessons for Beckham, it would help his recovery, too. Love you all!🥰😘😘😘😘
Please show your little girl more I come from a family where my sister had cancer is all consuming for parents, but children don't always understand would love to see a little girl more and see her interacting with her brother. It will make her feel as special as he does. Thank you for your videos
How about she take her children OFF the videos? They are way too young to consent to having their lives put out there all over the world just so the parents can make THOUSANDS of dollars just showing them. Not to mention the ads they do in the videos. Its terrible.
Racheal it wasn’t even 2 seconds and Beckham handled it so good. He is a water boy that’s for sure. He seems to really enjoy it and like you said it is good physical therapy for him and the water probably feels good for his pain. Another great video. I love Hunters new teeth they are so white, even, straight and gorgeous. You have a great husband , great father for your kids and a good looking one at that. I love his tattoo and I love yours also. I think it would be a perfect idea to put him in swim lessons for more than one reason. It’s being they teach them if they go under water like Beckham did to roll over on his back so he floats and his face is out of the water. They start newborns on swim lessons very early. You are rocking that bod girl you and Hunter both make an amazing couple. I love the way Bentley talks to and played with Bentley. They say opposites attract. And it’s so proven here. She is a great protective sister. Be safe, enjoy your life and God Bless you all. Love you all.
I’m so glad Beckham was ok. He seem to take it very well. Hunter was so quick to his aide. Everyone was having a great time. Love seeing Beckham and Blakey having some fun together. God Bless your beautiful family.
Our heartbeat 💓 went so fast when we saw him falling into water but Hunter timing was so perfect ❤....... BECKHAM is improving very well with good fitness lessons from HUNTER. 🎉
It is about time Beckham has had his face under water for a few seconds. The reflex for holding breath is innate. Dad was right there and picked him up right away. I m glad Hunter made Beckham feel secure and didn’t make it a negative experience. Beckham can have all kinds of splashing, with hands and legs to expose Beckham with a wet face, a lot. Not frantic splashing, directing splashing. For the sample, pushing a ball under water at various depths, various size balls, under water and let go of the ball and watch the reaction of how much splash comes up with that action. Also, adults only, for now, but throw a small/ medium ball ( you gave the size; size that Beckham could grab eventually) and throw the ball directly in front of Beckham a few feet in front of face so that it creates a splash around the face. All of this kind of setting up must be gentle and practice. I have many ideas and ways you can teach, play water game on with Beckham in the water. I used to work with C. P. Clients. With swim and play therapy. In my own water special needs therapy, and one term with Easter Seals. Many years with Special Olympics. I definitely think you should put both your children into swim lessons. It is a must. Independent lessons. Not together. Different size, different comprehension. I really want you to research the kinds of swim schools that offer toddler lessons, special needs lessons, highly trained, qualified independent swim instructors in your area. Research the fees, the certifications the instructor has, how many years they have been teaching swimming, and asking for references. If I was there, I would apply to help Beckham and his family. 👍🥰😍 Peace, Love and Blessings! ☮️💟🙏🙏🙏🙏
I think the little man is not scared of the water that is a good thing he is a halo. Dad is so fast at getting Beckham good job the swimming lessons will help I go to a disabled swimming course in the UK 🇬🇧 it's help me out a lot because I am disabled I can walk with a waking frame LOL love you all Jane Chapman from UK 🇬🇧.
He he will not drown in the pool with the wings or lifejacket. He seemed fine. You guys scared him. If anything it’s not like Hunter wasn’t there to take him out right away.
Took my breath away for a moment! But I can tell he loves the water& had so much fun with his daddy out there. You guys are the best parents! Love the video!
I really enjoy watching you Rachel and have been watching for the past 2 years now, HOWEVER, and plz don’t take it the wrong way but what happened to Beckham in the pool was not a big deal especially since Hunter was right there. This happens all the time and it’s how we react as parents that puts fear into our kids. Of course kids should never be left unattended and in arm’s reach but let’s not overreact. Also in regards to ur previous video, I think u overrated to Invisalign and breaking out on ur face…REALLY??? That was the worst week of ur life? People are going through much worse things, there is a war and people are losing limbs and dying. I get it, ur struggles and my struggles are different but PROPORTIONS!!!!!!!
I don't think this is helpful. In the pool it turned out fine *because* Hunter reacted so well, it's still a scary reminder though and a big shock. In the previous video, she said it had been an awful week mental health and PTSD-wise of which the Invisalign was a small part she felt able to talk about. She knows full well that other people have it worse out there. That doesn't mean that 'small' things don't catch us off guard and trigger bigger memories and thoughts and other existing mental health stuff. Invalidating people's experiences doesn't help anyone.
I'm lila I'm a 13 year old with the same disability I have friends and 1 lit sister and 1 big brother and little cousin Lennox and older cousin laurelle who is coming before I go back to middle school and little cousin Adelaide and last summer she jumped in the hot tub and pushed me underwater and I swam up because I have 2 floatys
I have cerebral palsy and I love to swim and I learned how to swim when I was three. By the way, I have spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and did have the same surgery Beckham had.
Oh guys! My only concern was if he would aspirate. If he knows to close his mouth and/or doesn’t swallow the water whether it’s voluntarily or not, then there’s no problem with him going under at all. He could love it! If its medically safe for him I wouldn’t hesitate to allow him to go under if he’s happy to, in fact I would encourage it. Just make sure his forehead is under because there’s a reflex little ones have where they don’t breathe under water…I forget exact details but I was taught at swimming lessons with my babies that pulling them through the water without their face in enough, the water can be pulled through their mouth and inhaled, but if they’re whole face is under their reflex kicks in.
100% things can happen so fast in the water, and it’s always good to have reminders on pool safety. Same as you guys I will never let my kids swim without me swimming right there with them. I have an 8yo that can swim now and she still doesn’t swim without me watching at the pool edge ready to jump in and help her….and others think I’m too extra, but no, others don’t watch her in the water, just me and I’m not even sorry haha. Adults get distracted too, and you can never be too careful. There’s literally only a select few people I would trust to be with my kids in the pool. I love the reminder and how safe you guys are in the pool with the kids.
Look like you had a fantastic time and so did the kids. Beckham was fine falling in the water. Hunter was right there with them watching over both children.❤❤❤
I love his smile & that you guys had a great day! I think it’s perfectly appropriate & ok that u posted his accident. It can show other people just how fast something can happen. ❤️
OMG Rachel. What a wonderful video despite Beckham's little mishap it looked like he really enjoyed the water and Hunter was right there the meal look delicious thank you for sharing
That was not a horrific water accident. That was going under for less then a second. Typically developing children have this happen through out childhood. Hunter handled it perfectly. Beckham handled it like a pro, thanks to Hunters Daddy reflexes Beckham haas no fear related to going under. He has no idea that he stopped your hearts lol
Love seeing how much fun everyone was having! Swimming and water play is so good for him. I grew up with a special needs sister and she loves the water too. I can see how that can be terrifying, but everyone handled it very well. I highly recommend swim lessons for both of them. Those claiming this is clickbait…I can safely say you probably don’t have special needs children or any experience with them. This was informative and should generate clicks…pool safety is critical for everyone, but especially special needs children. It doesn’t take much for something to happen - even if there is someone right there. When you have spent hours and hours in hospitals with your children - you have every right to be concerned. Keep it up mom and dad! When my sister was growing up - we could have benefited from having videos and stories from other parents. No one talked about it back then.
I wouldn’t even call this a swim accident - even a baby learns instinctively to hold breath when head goes under water. His dad was right there. Way too dramatic
Swimming helped me too. So glad Beckham got to experience the pool even though he took a tumble. He looked like he enjoyed floating. Glad Hunter caught Beckham quick!
I thought with the video thumbnail there was going to be a major accident!! I’m so glad it wasn’t!! You have the right to be scared for Beckham mama!! He is absolutely adorable! I’m a fairly new subscriber. I love your channel and your family! Quick question! Does Beckham have full use of his arms? Was he kicking his feet under water?? I pray he continues to make progress as he grows!! You have two beautiful children, and both you and Hunter are wonderful parents! ❤❤❤ blessings to your family!
I've been working with ICP patients and from what I have seen here, Beckham probably can't really kick under water, because his legs are too tight. And his arms are more mobile than his legs; but his hand control isn't ideal, as you can see in most of the videos. The last patient I assisted was similar in many ways - as an adult he was able to swim on his own, using only his arms.
That what happened to my 3 year old niece in a swimming pool. She was in a ring and she went tipping forward and went under. I rescue her from under water. She was fine. Bit shaken but managed to get her back in
Hunter is such a good dad the reason why Beckham didn’t cry to much was because of hunters reaction you need to calm down a little bit He isolated okay hunter was touching him the😊 whole time😊
It would be a great idea for Beckham to be in swim lessons for kids with special needs at the YMCA, Aqua-tots, Goldfish Swim School, or whatever is near you.
How nice to see Beckham in the vater. I hope Beckham go to handicap swimming (I don't know what age it's called in english) but it's in warm water, so your muscles relax and it's easier to move your body. Hope you had a good time with the family. When I was a child I hated fireworks, I always got a lot of spasms from the loud noises🎉❤
You can buy inflatables that fit round the neck, then with his arm floats he can swim around with no worries of him going under. Few yrs time he may even be swimming unaided
I agree 100% he needs to have mishaps eve now and then, both in the water and on land so he can maneuver through life on land and in the water. The water is so good for him and all of us really.
Now just add a swing set and a baby swing and your babies will be set for the swimming pool and swing set for themselves and have a blast on their own but you guys have to be outside with them always by them watching them at all times
wheres Blakley's Safety vest in the pool? It would make it so much safer for her, as you saw with Beckham you can never predict what will happen even with you being at arms reach.
What a fun day! Yes get him in swim lessons he will love it, I found the title and thumbnail of your clip alarming if I am honest a bit of click bate, I thought something really serious happened when in fact due to great supervision everything was fine!
My youngest daughter born having to use a wheelchair but there fully when Audrey turned 3 she told she wanted to learn swim by using her voice showing she you probably have a copay you get private 1 on 1 swimming through your insurance worked amazing don't remember the insurance called it as well if got insurance thats cover it get into aquatic therapy to help her even stronger for both on land and in water that something can request 1 on 1 as well mabby its a fit for becom as well
Since Beckham loves the water, you need to come visit my state of Alabama and go to Waterville or OWA! OWA has an amusement park and a waterpark and you can get the DAS pass for him but on the rides, including the waterslides at Waterville and other water parks, you might have to ride with him because I have a site disability and I want someone to ride with me on some of the waterslides or other things and tomorrow is my first waterpark
Please use protective googles when doing fireworks. I am not a fan of them. They are so unpredictable. Kids at this age should not be that close to them. So many freakish accidents have occurred no matter how safe you think they are. Old school . Age 73 yrs😩
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Friday afternoon and evening with the kids and hope Beckham is ok and Beckham is truly a fighter and a warrior and hope he and Blakely enjoy the pool.
❤❤ Beckham knew what to do, he's so cute, sweet and so smart. Hunter was by his side and will never let him get hurt. Both of you are GREAT PARENTS. I love you and your family. Best family ever with the Best kiddos ever.
It must terrifying when he went underwater but he seemed ok and loves it you are brillant parents getting used to my feeding tube i have a RIG they could not get a peg in so radiology did it my stomach moved under my rib its painful x
I’d put both in swim. Swimming is such an important skill especially for little kids. I think they’d both enjoy it and could possibly have classes together
There is no completely safe place for a child! Houses catch fire. Cars get hit by other cars. As long as a parent is with Beckham, he will be fine. He will get better in the water, the longer he spend in it! You are wonderful parents and you are slowly extending the range of Beckham’s activities!
Hope they read this and are open to it!
Wonderful family, Hunter!
Rachel and Hunter, you are both the best parents for Blakely and Beckham!!!
The is trying to be more independant he cute loves life
Rachel your content is plenty and full of rich moments - you dont need scarey titles❤ got such a fright seeing the title and thinking it was a 911 level incident - it was amazing to see how many voluntary movements he made during the swim session - amazing 🏆⭐️
Hunter got him so Quick … Hunter is such a Hands on dad … love the way he plays with the kids .. good job Beckham❤
The way Beck moves his legs in the water, and has so much arm movement splashing, I bet he would do amazing in swim lessons!!! ❤️

Beckham looked like he was having a blast in the pool. He is a natural. ❤
Hunters reflexes were perfection! Beckham handled that amazing. 💞
I am so glad Beckham is safe! Hunter is such a good dad
Swimming is so relaxing, yet he can feel weightless while swimming just like any other kid ❤ He inspires me so much ❤

Beckham definitely needs swimming lessons. He loves the water and this will help him with strengthening his muscles.
I think adaptive swim lessons just so it is easier on his body

I have had a back fusion and the water is the only way that I could rehab. Beckham you are brave and a little turtle 🐢🤣😆
Swimming helped me too. So glad Beckham got to experience the pool even though he took a tumble. He looked like he enjoyed floating. Glad Hunter caught Beckham quick!
My special needs granddaughter has had several years of one on one adaptive swim lessons at the YMCA. It has been great for her😊
I thought with the video thumbnail there was going to be a major accident!!
It's called clickbait
That what happened to my 3 year old niece in a swimming pool. She was in a ring and she went tipping forward and went under. I rescue her from under water. She was fine. Bit shaken but managed to get her back in
Hunter is such a good dad the reason why Beckham didn’t cry to much was because of hunters reaction you need to calm down a little bit
He isolated okay hunter was touching him the😊 whole time😊
The kids are both getting so big they look like they both got taller ❤❤
I think swim lessons for Beckham is a wonderful idea. Maybe the next house yall get can have a therapeutic pool!
It would be a great idea for Beckham to be in swim lessons for kids with special needs at the YMCA, Aqua-tots, Goldfish Swim School, or whatever is near you.
I would recommend swim lessons for both kids. They would both benefit from it.
Hunter was SO quick! And honestly it looked like Beckham enjoyed that dive! 😅
Hopefully everything is ok bless his heart
Yes. Children with brain injuries do learn to swim😊
yes they do! I was young like Beckham
It’s all good Beckham seems so happy in the pool. ❤️
It's OK. I really think you are careful enough and Beckham needs to have a few mild mishaps especially to learn to maneuver in water❤❤❤❤
I agree 100% he needs to have mishaps eve now and then, both in the water and on land so he can maneuver through life on land and in the water. The water is so good for him and all of us really.
You can get noise cancellation headphones for Blakey it will help a lot my grandson who is autistic uses them for fireworks
My eyes & mouth 👀😮, but I'm glad he's ok 🙏🏽❤.
SAME!!
Beckham was having a blast! Definitely swim lessons if possible.
Now just add a swing set and a baby swing and your babies will be set for the swimming pool and swing set for themselves and have a blast on their own but you guys have to be outside with them always by them watching them at all times
Bless his heart, so cute
He is perfect 🥹
@@HOUSEOFHUGHES_ he is so adorable and I will cry when he One day takes is first step love him so much
Hopefully everything’s OK
Thank you!!
Yw
wheres Blakley's Safety vest in the pool?
It would make it so much safer for her, as you saw with Beckham you can never predict what will happen even with you being at arms reach.
What a fun day! Yes get him in swim lessons he will love it, I found the title and thumbnail of your clip alarming if I am honest a bit of click bate, I thought something really serious happened when in fact due to great supervision everything was fine!
It was handled perfectly, all is well👍👏😎
Special olympics you can learn to swim free too.
They can also teach him at his school as part of his therapy. Rachel has mentioned in they past in videos that the school has a pool.
@rhondaclark2446 can have him be a stronger swimmer which would help with getting stronger muscles.
Glad he’s ok he’s a survivor
My youngest daughter born having to use a wheelchair but there fully when Audrey turned 3 she told she wanted to learn swim by using her voice showing she you probably have a copay you get private 1 on 1 swimming through your insurance worked amazing don't remember the insurance called it as well if got insurance thats cover it get into aquatic therapy to help her even stronger for both on land and in water that something can request 1 on 1 as well mabby its a fit for becom as well
He can most likely get swim lessons through his school.
I’m 60 years old and still do not like the noise of fireworks. Love to look at them but hate the noise.
Beckham is a little daredevil and likes adventure of swimming is good for kids that are disabled. Swimming make you hungry as my grandkids would say.
Beckham displaying his bravery again, this time it was on dad😅
Hunter had his hand on Beckhams bottom almost the entire video. Great job dad!!!
Was just one of them things that happen to kids. You both good parents. He still loves the water x
Please use protective googles when doing fireworks. I am not a fan of them. They are so unpredictable. Kids at this age should not be that close to them. So many freakish accidents have occurred no matter how safe you think they are. Old school . Age 73 yrs😩
Swimming is best exercise for his legs. Hope one day he will swim by himself
Can't wait to see the new vlog and hope you guys have a great Friday afternoon and evening with the kids and hope Beckham is ok and Beckham is truly a fighter and a warrior and hope he and Blakely enjoy the pool.
YI’m it never alone you have the best family. Beckham will get better at everything when he gets older i promice have a good day
Great size pool for the kids😍❤️😍
So glad Beckham is good!
❤❤ Beckham knew what to do, he's so cute, sweet and so smart. Hunter was by his side and will never let him get hurt. Both of you are GREAT PARENTS. I love you and your family. Best family ever with the Best kiddos ever.
You are both amazing parents
A question from denmark 😊before Beckham's surgery did anyone talk about how swimming will be good for him?
Wow!!!! Ur son did good!!!! Swim lessons are a must now.
It must terrifying when he went underwater but he seemed ok and loves it you are brillant parents getting used to my feeding tube i have a RIG they could not get a peg in so radiology did it my stomach moved under my rib its painful x
Look mom my new diving move.
I’d put both in swim. Swimming is such an important skill especially for little kids. I think they’d both enjoy it and could possibly have classes together
Y'all are the best UA-camers. And how is your daughter with her allergy to your dog
There is no completely safe place for a child! Houses catch fire. Cars get hit by other cars. As long as a parent is with Beckham, he will be fine. He will get better in the water, the longer he spend in it! You are wonderful parents and you are slowly extending the range of Beckham’s activities!
