RIP Terry Hall, the coolest guy in the world when i was growing up in the 80S. Thanks for the music Terry & the Specials.
Gen Z needs to know that ska is a movement and not a novelty.
Brads drumming is perfect
Ему бы двойной бит играть dbeat
We,re living in gangsters time 😢
🎯✅😏
I actually, and literally, jumped out of my seat when i first heard this upon first release. No song, or voice, has ever done that before or since. Rest in Power xxx
A fabulous piece this. Timeless. Today the gangsters are not crooks or criminals....they're politicians.
They always were.
Even the gangster Bob Hoskins played in The Long Good Friday distanced himself from them when he said, " I'm not a politician; I'm a businessman."
@@bassage13 No, not always at all. Far from it.
BidenNomics
Point at them, hey you! SF/
These guys are the epitomy of "cool." Been a fan since I first heard them in the 70s.
yeah these were definitely some hip cats for sure
The bass line in this song is sick
their greatest track.
Thanks Buddy, you changed so many lives Rest In Peace
Rest easy king
I was into rock music in the late 70s so I wasn't exactly a fan, But now in my old age and wisdom I realise they were brilliant. Tbh I always had a soft spot for this number.....but I didn't tell my mates :)
Reminds me of my first week in secondary school. What a great time to be a kid. RIP Terry.
I don’t think it was
Awesome track, which should have been The Specials first number 1.I was a young Rudie in 1979,and The Specials were my favourite band of all the 2Tone/SKA Revival bands. So sad when they split up in 1981 after GHOST TOWN,got to number 1.😢
A friend suggested this band to me as a way to get some basic ska knowledge. This was my favorite . Thanks kb☺.
This is actually Prince Buster - Al Capone cover/homage to the original. Now that is some OG stuff. ✌😎😉
@kenny Barclay Sorry thought it was a reference to last comment. I mean👍
The Skatalites are another old ska band worth checking out also.
@@terrythekittieful Thanks, I think I might have heard some of their stuff, but I'm not sure.
me and my girlfriend went to luxemburg to see them. great concert. also got to see them at pip festival in oslo 2022. Rest in peace Terry.
Time for a reunion.
I think that Elvis Costello produced this record. If so, the entire album will having you dancing and humming all day
I found this song from the movie Mystery Men. One of the best movies ever made imo.
18 when this came out 62 now and loving with my grand daughter 😍
Un mec bien est monté sur le paradis...
Paix à son Âme
My first and still favorite Specials song since I was 24 now I am 41!
I'm just discovering the specials so I guess this my first favorite song of theirs too.
Completely agree with you Stephanie.I was a 13 year old rudie in 1979,and this was my favourite SPECIALS track, which,by the way, should have been their first no 1.As good as TOO MUCH TOO YOUNG was,THIS should have been the bands first no 1.So sad that they split up in 1981,straight after GHOST TOWN was no 1,but between 1979 and 1981,the SPECIALS gave young rudies like me,a great time👍
its been one of my fav ska jams from them for over 20yrs 🤓
Nerd
I remember seeing these guys performing this on Saturday Night Live 😊
Wish these fellas would reunite for a U.S. tour. Guaranteed sell-out auditoriums!
Perhaps open the show with a couple of their favorite performers / bands? ✌️
Rip Terry hall🍺
I like this😊🎧🎶.
Immigrant
Dance Floor Filler, as Craig Charles might say. Best arrangement.
Classic and it add free 🎉
Fantastic remastered sound.....but 13,000 views in 15 months? Should be a hundred times that, at least...these millenials don't know what they're missing.
I assure you they don't know being one aha shame
I still try and bump this every house party I'm in though aha
Completely agree with you👍
For X in North Wales Purealternative FM Request Rock Show tonight Simon Barnett And Sir TM
RIP TERRY
