Agreed. For once, the writers were actually on point. They finally provided Julie Kavner(Marge) and Yeardley Smith(Lisa) some great dialogue while Tress Macneille(Mom Translator) finishes it off. Now I'll admit that I've never liked Julie and/or Yeardley, but their characters made us miserable. I'll also admit I'm obsessed with Tress, but she's the only one that makes me happy. Without the latter, I'm through watching the show.

As a part time Mom Translator myself, here are some terms people often mistranslate;
- "I just want what's best for you" = "Why can't you just do what I say?"
- "Don't worry about it honey" = "Why should I bother explaining? You clearly don't care."
- "I'll always love you no matter what" = "Please don't be gay."

@Angus Wallace Tress MacNeille is the only reason I watch the shit era. Now I’ll admit that I’m obsessed with her soothing voice, but at least she knows how to steal scenes. Without Tress, cartoons are meaningless.

I really don't get Marge at all because she should be happy and proud of Lisa now that she's becaming the USA President in the future and done a lot of good things but Marge still wants Lisa to go to college. Seriously if Marge really obessed with wanting one of her family to go to college then maybe she should go to college herself instead.

She wanted Lisa to be successful because of her. She needed to justify all the things she did for her daughter which is something every mother should do in the first place.

The problem with that thought is that mothers and fathers should also support and try to understand if their kid doesn't want to go to college then they should try to support them and let them figure what they want to do with their life. Marge was none of that since she kept harassing and pressuring Lisa to go to college and didn't care about what Lisa wanted. All she cared about was living her own dreams through Lisa. That's really why I hated Marge in this episode since this was another example of her being a control freak, hell Homer was more supportive and understanding than Marge which is saying something 😨. Even here she's still can't appreciate that Lisa was able to find happiness and become president and the first thing she says to Lisa is that she still wants her to go to college

Some parents can often get themselves headstuck in a logic loop.
And since giving a good wack to fix isn't viable anymore(outside of asia) we all need a mom translator to help iron out the kinks
