Thank you a wonderful video. Arbroath and the countryside around the CS look amazing, our dog hates bonfire, but so far we've been unable to get away. Next year we can, and so we've booked a remote dog friendly cottage, not fancying the campervan in November, but might be a possibility in other years 😀 The CS looked good.
Hi Bob and Jenny and Bob and Aileen a great video and I love Arbroath we have been many times on holiday and of course sampled the fish and chips, ice cream and smokies it’s a lovely place and the people were really nice and friendly From where we stayed in Perth it was quite a drive but well worth going would love to go back and see the abbey as it looks lovely We also went to Carnoustie and broughty ferry both of which were also well worth seeing The salmon looks delicious! Looks like you have all had a wonderful break all the best Daniel
I’m not sure I could cope with the smell of the smokies ☺️ But G would love those. The salmon looked tasty! The bike is definitely an asset for getting into Errol 😁 Em 💜
Was that Red Ball on the Signal Tower used to indicate precise Midday to the mariners by dropping down in conjunction with a single cannon fire blast maybe?
Red ball was used as a means of communication with keepers on Bell Rock lighthouse, about 15 miles offshore. Ball raised in morning if all well. If ball at lighthouse not raised a boat was dispatched from Arbroath. Not needed after wireless invented, Bell Rock now fully automated
Poor dogs, unless you can get to a remote area there's not much you can do to help. Why every firework has to be an airbomb is beyond me - all we had were sparklers and roman candles

Quite possibly, pity it was closed!
