I used to appreciate this song on a superficial level but after recently going through my first major heartbreak, I appreciate this song more deeply. I listen to this song sometimes when I'm feeling down and it helps to know someone has put into words how I feel.

I agree that she often is better live than in the studio. This is definitely one of those times. I was listening to some of her current music and it doesn't even compare to this. She was a force early in her career. I'm not sure whether she's changing direction, listening to producers, or trying to find a way? But when she comes back to where she was then, we will all be amazed.
If you can believe it, the Billboard version is even more next level than this.

There's no one like Kimbra.
There are many great singers/artist who are so cherished because they are gone or got too old or faded away or their recordings are rare and their whereabouts unknown but realize this: kimbra is here now and it is still early in what I hope will be a long career. I cannot wait for the jazz album(s) and whatever else she puts out.
How lucky we have her now and can fully realize what we have in an artist such as her.
They say you never realize what you got until it is gone but, sometimes you really can:)
