- Trying out LOG footage from the Osmo Pocket 3 and very basic grading (I spent one minute on this) in Davinci Resolve.
This is what UNESCO, who has designated this place a world heritage site, has to say about Nikko. The shrines and temples of Nikko, together with their natural surroundings, have for centuries been a sacred site known for its architectural and decorative masterpieces. They are closely associated with the history of the Tokugawa Shoguns.
This video was handheld in 4K 60fps with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 in October 27th 2023.

The color science on the Pocket 1 seemed to be so much better. Not sure why the highlights are so blown out. Just got my pocket 3 today in the mail, can't wait to try it out. I hope they can get this squared away with the highlights.

Everything blows me away about this camera- right now it's the DOF vs. aperture. Do you have full manual control
or is it semiauto/aperture priority or does it offer an exposure control pkg? I haven't bought a videocam since dinosaurs became birds. 😂 Thanks, TE!
The camera it self offers some control but not full control. One of the things many people (i am sure to be one of them) are griping about is the blown out highlights and the color science. You can go -EV but thats about it to control it. Firmware fix im sure, but this should not have been a thing to be honest.
I wasn't watching for cuts when I viewed this, but is this all one take? If so, what did you do to keep the camera from overheating? If the camera did overheat, how long did you need to wait between takes for it to cool back down? Just wondering how you handled that.

@@TokyoExplorer Interesting. I keep seeing other people say that the camera overheats if you’re doing 4k60 in about 20 to 30 minutes! Nice to know it’s working great for you!
Ambient temperature might make a difference. It's been around 20 degrees C here when I've used it.

No. You need to go via a computer. Also the camera splits longer videos into chunks (15-20 minutes each). So for long videos you need to stitch the files in post.
It's a beautiful walk ! I just bought 360x3 for my Kyoto trip in the middle of this month. Now, I start to see more video clips of this new Osmo pocket 3 , and would like to try it. Could you please recommend where I can buy it in Japan, especially in Kyoto. Thanks so much in advance. It is nice you have no problem of overheating. My 360x3 seems to heat up so quickly,and the merchant told me that was normal.

I really don't know....sometimes it looks good, sometimes it looks too digital.
Honestly I personally expected MORE from that camera
