I really needed this. I have been explaining people at my workplace about where I want to take my career and all they did was say 'why don't you stay in this country, why are you hyperfixated on going to Germany?'
i think studying abroad can sometimes feel like this vast, vague, abstract concept- as someone who's longtime goal has been to study away from home, it's so lovely seeing you making it happen. a lot of the time, my casual magic has been seeing you sharing your story
i moved to the UK in 2020 to study there, after almost everyone told me i won't be able to pull off. you can do it. it so weird to do it when it was just a dream for a long time. but it's 100% worth it
i really would LOVEE to study abroad throughout my uni years but im planning to study medicine and i doubt we have time to do it even at least study med in a different country :(
I really relate to what you said about your dog... I moved to Amsterdam at the beginning of 2021 and my cat's getting older and having loads of health issues... I totally relate to what you said about your dog! I’ve had my dog since I was 9 and I’m not going into my third year of uni and he’s 13 going 14 in janurary and everytime I go back to uni I always get really sad and scared in case that’s the last time I ever see him and idk how I’ll cope if the day comes when he goes and I’m not at home but whenever I am at home I really make the most of spending my time with him and giving him so much love and attention❤️
my parents had my dog put down when I was away at uni in my second year, when I came home for Christmas I found out he attacked another dog, killed chickens and then attacked the vet, so the warden took him away to the pound where he was put down, It breaks my heart thinking how scared he must have been and was probably wondering where I was as we were inseparable until I moved to university
My dog is also 13, he has diabetes and bad joints. I‘m working abroad for four months now and I have this huge anxiety that something‘s gonna happen when I‘m away. But I‘m just trying to be grateful that I have such an amazing animal in my life, and I love him soo much🐶

Maybe the (obviously sudden) aggressiveness of your dog was also due to the unaccustomed separation from you. Very insensitive towards you and also towards the dog!

Oh Jade... These past few days I've been on such a high of consuming all your content - furiously listening to podcasts, watching videos and LOVING learning about how we learn! This past week or so I've been feeling so motivated to achieve my goals, and to see the world in all its opportunities and wonders. I'm 16 and I just feel so in awe of the world and all the things I could do! Despite the current worldwide situation I feel like the world is opening up to me. I'm so excited to finally get a job and use the money I get to buy your book (my family are probably getting tired of me raving about our outdated school system and all those nerdy things and how I desperately want a book titled "The Only Study Guide You'll Ever Need"). Watching your videos makes me really want to travel, and even consider studying abroad in the future, which is something that would be really outside my comfort zone... but it just seems so exciting!! Hey! Just in case you didn't know, the "Rügenwalder" products you showed at 7:35 have egg (Eiklar) in it, they're not vegan. It's really confusing because the symbol for vegetarian and vegan products is so similar in Germany :/ The brand offers many amazing vegan products too, just make sure to check wether it says "vegetarisch" or "vegan" before buying it.
Just got some suggestions, I absolutely love their vegan salami with pepper, the vegan cordon bleu and the vegan schinkenspicker with grilled vegetables! But the beef is also amazon in like a bolognese sauce for pasta!

So cool! I live abroad, but I never studied abroad during uni. But it looks for sure a great experience. Every young student should try to study abroad because it really opens your mind, and you learn so much about life during those months. For some young students traveling abroad to study might seem normal, but for some others it is not, like it wasn't for me. I was just scared to travel to a different place and probably I felt like not adult enough to travel by my self, but now that I love abroad I strongly recommend students to study abroad at least one time to try 😎 it will change you life! ✨

So cool! I live abroad, but I never studied abroad during uni. But it looks for sure a great experience. Every young student should try to study abroad because it really opens your mind, and you learn so much about life during those months. For some young students traveling abroad to study might seem normal, but for some others it is not, like it wasn't for me. I was just scared to travel to a different place and probably I felt like not adult enough to travel by my self, but now that I love abroad I strongly recommend students to study abroad at least one time to try 😎 it will change you life! ✨
