S83 GECU Samvad with Prasoon Shrivastava, World resource Institute on The Techno Social Catalyst

GECU Samvad entered fourth year of its community initiative. As a Volunteer driven organization, we are proud of impact to lives of alumni. Thank you so much to all stakeholders for all the affection and support during previous three years of Virtual and In person events.
After sharing the joy of three glorious years, Samvad team presented yet another fulfilling Samvad from a shining star of GECU. In our recent 83rd session, we were delighted & super proud to feature a Prasoon Srivastava, who has been working on new horizons with his Techo-Social combination.
More- Prasoon Shrivastava comes from a Techno-social background with a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Govt Engineering College, Ujjain and a Master’s degree in Rural Development from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
After taking a u-turn from Infosys, he started his career as a conservation specialist in one of the most ecologically sensitive areas of Kanha National Park. It was a great opportunity for him to work with an ecologically rich cultured tribal community known as ‘Baiga” of Madhya Pradesh, which recently got their habitat rights too. During his tenure, he worked on sustainable land use management, ecological restoration and soil water conservation. Later he worked with various governments at the central and state levels and government think tanks as a Public Policy researcher on multiple short- and long-term assignments on Environment Health, Agriculture, Forest and Livelihood. Currently Prasoon works as program manager landscape restoration program at World resource institute in Bhopal.
Apart from his passion to work for Environment, he advocates Wildlife and Astrophotography. He also like reading and travelling on his bike exploring places, especially rural India and to know about its history.
