I love and respect both Alagna and Plotkin. What a wonderful conversation! Here Roberto's deference to and honor of others shows. He is so multitalented also! I have heard others say he is egocentric. I think when he says things like, "that chord, I wrote that chord" he can be misunderstood. He gets excited about being taken along, uplifted by the music and shares, as he always wants to, the feeling. It is not ego! Plotkin is so knowledgeable and organized. As an interviewer and presenter he always is just having a conversation with a friend, in spite of all the preparation he did to make the interview flow easily. Altogether enjoyable. My second time, not my last time watching this.
Необыкновенно интересно ! Пересматриваю несколько раз, хорошо, что есть русские субтитры. В конце, под песню "Мамма мия!", где Роберто готовит , я увлеклась и тоже сгорели мои "бизе" . Мамма мия! )))

Too much Plotkin. (This makes me like Alagna even more.) At 13:00, Plotkin says he 'worked on' the new Zeffirelli 'La Boheme' production, that he would 'go out on' this same production, implying he was ending a long and glorious design career, that he helped design the production, or direct it, or imagine it, or something. But he was the House Manager at the time, a person who takes care of the front of the house ticket-guest-seating-comfort-program-distribution issues, as per the MET website itself. How or why would a house manager be involved in a production artistically, which he explicitly implies? I smell pretense as off-putting as that stupid 'opera scarf'.
What a great sin not knowing English! All the videos that interest me are in English! the Hispanic world seems to have no art . I sincerely regret being born Hispanic 😔
