    Thanks for the good review. The actual content of the review was exactly what I needed.
    I do have a "video production" request, though - please get a lapel microphone. The audio of you speaking is EXTREMELY inconsistent, and in a few parts, it was VERY hard to hear you.

    I have this exact one and absolutely love it. Is there a safe way to actually clean the cyclone part in the canister? After a while I can see fine dust is still up in it

    Here's a question for you. The DC39 Animal has a HEPA filter inside the ball that wraps around the motor. It's easy to access the filter and motor, but does anyone know how to get this filter out? It's held in place by screws, but one can't get to the screws unless one first removes the assembly to which the filter is attached. I've pushed in the white buttons on the side of the ball, tried prying with a flathead screwdriver, and the assembly is STUCK. It must be attached to something more, but what, and where? How do I get this thing out! This is the FIRST goof I've found with the Dyson design. Love the Vac, hate this screwed in place HEPA filter!

    The suction on smooth surfaces must be on linoleum floors. They must be glued down in most cases, but if not glued properly the vacuum can suction to the floor.

    That turbine head seems to perform very well compared to the old one.

    The problem i have with the DC39 is when i use it..I noticed there is no 3rd prong on the power cord..Its winter out and its dry..this thing generates so much static dust sticks to the plastic wand and i can feel the discharge as it builds up and jumps to my hand..a grounded system would drain off the charge. other than that..this thing sucks...Thats a good thing

    The extension from the handle to the power head on mine gets dirty every use - is that normal?

    If the dust only clumps up in 2 parts of the dust bin does that mean mine is malfunctioning?

    My DC39 Animal canister has so much suction I can hardly push it. I have had it since 2013, but haven't used it very much because of this. I am no weakling either. I needed to clean my upright vacuum out good, but I need to vacuum everyday, so I took this thing out.
    OMG! I called Dyson support and ask how I could control the suction. The gentleman I spoke with said there was no way to control it! What??? And I paid $400 for this thing. Anybody else have a suction problem like this?

    I have a comment AND a question;
    Q How do I get the vacuum floor piece replaced/ repaired? From the ve ed y first month of ownership things started falling off of it, the small blk rubber wheels, the clips the close the brush area together, the roller brush doesnt turn/ rotate, etc. etc
    C. IT HAS GREAT SUCTION, BUT WON'T PICK UP W/O THE BRUSG ROLLING!
    My husband purchased this 39 at SEARS and they won't have anything to do with it now!

    Was just wondering how this one compares to the v8 absolute as I have this and want a cordless vacuum but my partner doesn't want to get the v8 if it doesn't match its cleaning power

    • @VacuumAdvisor
      @VacuumAdvisor  7 років тому +2

      Hi Natalie,
      These are very different machines. The DC39 is a full size vacuum and is designed to tackle cleaning a medium to large size home. The V8 is a much smaller and it would likely run out of battery power before getting through a larger home. Also, the DC39 has an output of 275 AirWatts of suction while the V8 has an output (on Max Mode) of 115 AirWatts and on Standard Mode it is much less.
      The V8 however is much lighter and much more portable than the DC39 and it is great for smaller homes and doing quick pickups, a set of stairs, or similar cleaning. The V8 does a fairly good job on both carpet and bare floors but it will likely not clean to the same level that the DC39 will.
      We use the V8 on our carpet and tile floors in a 1000 square foot apartment and it is a good fit for us. But if we had to do a larger home we’d rather use a larger vacuum. Also, because we have several vacuums, we sometime pull out something larger to get a deeper cleaning done.
      Hope this is helpful.

    I've just never like dyson vacuums! I feel like they look cool but I'm afraid that they don't perform that great compared to the Miele brand

      if you have carpets, get an upright

    • @BOHICA_
      @BOHICA_ 8 років тому

      +elijah huggins Except an upright can't get under things like beds, sofas, and chairs.

    • @elijah7744s
      @elijah7744s 8 років тому

      John Be Good canisters are fine for carpets ONLY IF THEY HAVE AN ELECTRIC POWERED NOZZLE. dyson uses air powered nozzles, so they don't clean carpet very well.

    • @BOHICA_
      @BOHICA_ 8 років тому

      elijah huggins I agree on the motorized power head. I have an old Dyson that has one. Unfortunately, I think Dyson is getting away from using them.

      I just bought the Shark Rocket PowerHead Vacuum Kit and am going to see how that works. It's got the accessibility of a canister with the upright action. The only con for me is the small debris canister, but it just means emptying more often. No biggy.

    Bageless...not really, since you need to empty the cyclone bin in a bag. I have the DC52 Allergy Parquet, and the manual says to emty the cyclone bin in a bag and throw that bag away. I hate it, because there is no clean way to empty the dust bin (dust, hair...). I use my old vacuum cleaner with bag, to emty the dust bin...that is the only way to get it completely clean. Kafka !

      +Marleen Jansoone I have the same problem with mine, it is a terrible design especially if you are allergic/ asthmatic. I have to clear all the hairs, fluff and gunk out with my hands, fingers, a stick.... terrible.

      It seems like vacuum bags are out of fashion with people concerned about waste. People also don't like the extra expense of buying them. I get it, but I wish it was easier to find a vacuum with a bag because of my allergies.
