Just finished all the episodes as we speak. Thank you for this. Just installed Onealex this past week before even having a clue on how to play (im a regular UBOAT player, first time playing SH though). I do have a question I hope you may be able to answer, though. I did all the steps required to download, install, and play. Also, I did start the career and head out to sea before customizing anything, saved in map, exited, and confirmed the patrols.cfg and careers.cfg are correct. My question is, am I able to end my patrol and head back to dock to customize my boat and career now, or for the sake of saving my career before it even begins (don't wanna be court martialed😂) should I just ride out first patrol lol? Also... I got two radio messages that are saying something along the lines of "all uboats go west to bay 1 and hit 3 targets on the way there" something to do with uboat training, but my first patrol is all the way up and east of Shetland Islands (from Wilhelmshaven). Are these radio messages for me? And where do I find this Bay 1 if they are?
For the first question you are free to save and get out whenever you want. However people always recommend you preferably save and exit in the middle of nowhere. If you save and exit near other vesels there is a very good chance for a fuck up. For your second question it depends on which flotila you choose. I can't remember off the top of my head but I know flotilla weddigen only operates on the north sea until the fall of France.
Tengu! I should've replied sooner, I apologize. Thank you for the reply. I've figured out my questions in the meantime though. Clocked nearly 200hrs in SH3 at this point hahaha. Took a little while to figure out much of the other options and features but I've got things under control now. Flotilla Weddigen is 1st flotilla out of Kiel, BTW. You are right. Although I tried 1st flotilla once, it's just too much hassle going around the bay, as my pre-plotted Kiel courses don't seem to work properly - so I never got to experience the Baltic Sea operations yet. I've been enjoying your playthrough as well, good stuff you got going on. Subbed a few weeks ago!
Hi! After i launch the torpeodoes how can i reload them? I know, the game write this "tubes are reloading" but how long i have to wait for them to reload? Or anything, tip, help? Pls help me, if you can. (Slient Hunter 3)
Sorry for the late reply just saw the comment. If you are using hardcore fixes and mods , sea state plays a role in reloading. In rough seas you will have to dive to reload. Otherwise all you need to do is allocate crew to the tube compartment and reload will happen automatically
Thanks for your explanation. But I think you're not at the 1.5km mark. You calculated 10 seconds at 30 meters = 5.83 knots. 1.5 km in 10 minutes = 4.86 kn
Very well explained! Thank you!
I appreciate the feedback thank you
I have a question. What supermod is better? GWR (Grey Wolves Reworked) or GWX from OneAlex? Can you do a comparison? It would be nice :D
Second that

Why would I use this over the 3min 15 sec rule? Is there a situation where this is superior?
Just gives you more options. Conversion tables are also super useful for interception
Thanks for your explanation.
But I think you're not at the 1.5km mark.

the time scale is in minutes not seconds.
