Not to be ever played with, always respected, Until you've been up next to these magnificant buffalo, you don't get the sheer size of them. I've seen buffalo there looked half the size of an elephant in size, and they'll do the same thing elephants do. Press you to the ground with a head 6 feet long, and then tap dance you into hamburger. And they are lightning quick when they've had enough. When I was there, and herd of 1600 came through the forest and treed 2 rangers observing them. Then laid at the tree, and kept looking up at them. The Rangers got stuck there for the entire night, lol, until the herd woke up in the morning and headed to pasture to feed. It was like, the Buffalo knew they were there,c'mon Ranger, come on down and play with us,dare you... Made it a point to chill thete for that very reason, they're smart as hell, more than any cow for sure, lol
There's nothing deceptive about it unless you're really dumb. People can do 20+ mph and they're far more muscular and have twice as many legs. Your only chance is dodging, not outrunning.
I think lots of tourists don't see them as a threat because these magnificent creatures are herbivores...they won't eat you, but they might charge! Keep your distance, people! 🙄 Even your cars won't protect you, js
Great video with only natural sounds and it looks like you enjoyed the surroundment by Yellowstone Bison.....thank you for using common sense .....a third person has just been gored by a bison in the park this season by simply getting too close ...I just want to say thanks for a job well done.
You may not know this but there are no free range buffalo in North America. The animals you are looking at are Bison. Did you know that a large male Bison can overturn a car?
There are bison on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and a Ranger there gave me some very sage advice about them: Bison tail in the air, tourists beware. It's always a good idea not to harass the largest animal on a continent that's well known for having a very short and very violent temper...
They were smart to stay in their cars but I wonder if they fully understand that these bison are big enough and strong enough that they could totally mangle that car if they chose to do so. They also could very easily turn your car over. I would be giving these guys a LOT of room. These are not Disney cartoon animals. They are wild beasts and they are considered WILD for a reason.
They showed more wisdom than the American tourists by getting in the car. This protects the people and the Buffalo. If you fell the need to be up close, use a telephoto lens. Great video.
Wolves probably were in the area, when I went to Yellowstone my main goal was to see wolves so we got a wolf tour guide who brought us right through were you were, before that I had thought I had a good eye for wildlife but this guide that we were with was exceptional! Were I was looking i could see nothing that would indicate a wolf to me, but then the guide spotted one and showed us through the scope, he was quite far off, basically what I’m trying to say is there were probably some in the valley when you were there and you might not have seen them because they are so hard to spot especially in all that sage brush
I really enjoyed the video of you and the young woman both respectful of the bison and using good old common sense, getting into your auto, for your safety, wish we had more people like you as visitors to the Yellow stone park. Thank you both you are great for the park visitors.
These people are all fools for being that close to these bison !!!!!! If a bison charged the car....they would have no chance to get in. Besides that the bison could with ease .flip the car over...... !!!!!!!
#+?!!##@ Yeah Buffalo 🦬🦬🦬 , give them room or you could be F---ked,. Yeah they are big, not Dumb but also they are unpredictable as Hell sometimes? They are not Pets too pet either.
If that bison charged ( at 2:37 ) theres no way in hell she would have been able to get in the car !!!!!! 100 yards 5 seconds. She wasnt even watching the bison most of the time ......... Good luck ! A small car is a toy for a bison. They can take the doors off....flip the car over ....with ease ! Stay away from them !
Not very smart to open the sunroof in my opinion. Those beasts are huge and if he decided to charge that car he could injure anyone in the sunroof or turn the car over. Best to stay inside with everything shut when they are that close. They're unpredictable and can be violent.
Ive seen asian people go up to a black bear with his small child thinking they could pet it. Slammed my brakes and yelled get back. They did survive, but f me .
@@maryrichards157 I think you should check your data, from what I have seen in posted videos it is usually Asian tourists or white tourists from other countries and not Americans.
@@rayfreeman2305 I understand you might get that from the vids that are posted, but I'm going off of info from living in Wyoming and working for the USFS. Word gets around. A lot of it is folks from more highly populated areas who aren't used to being around large wildlife. Likewise, folks who've spent most of their lives in the wide open don't generally fare too well in the big cities. It's a trade-off.

They're bison, not buffalo.
Q
@@barbarat5729 They used to be called Buffalo didn’t they . When did Bison become the correct name ? Why not Buffalo ?
@@lindacarruthers3423 : scientific binomium is Bison bison.
So, correctly, their name has always been bison.
Thank you for sharing this without music or dialogue….just sounds of nature. Yellowstone is such a miraculous place.
The best thing to do would be to stay in the vehicle when you are that close. They are deceptively quick for their size. It's not worth the risk imo.

Great job, love it especially when no music, all natural sounds 👌🏾 👍🏾 😀 🙌🏾
Awesome video. What beautiful scenery. How lucky to have seen so many bison.
Thank you for sharing. This is a amazing experience. Just beautiful creatures. I would love to go see them.
Big beautiful animals, but very dangerous
Thank you for using common sense and being respectful for the bison safety and your own. Beautiful animals. Thanks for sharing.

I was glad to see the cars driving by were respectful. They stopped and waited for the bison to go by, they did not crowd them. Success.
If bison put their tails up, you better run away quickly.

Hate to tell ya, but that car won't protect you if they charge. They can put a hole through a door, and have turned school buses over.

Love the sound of the Snarling that the buffalo were making....wonderful sound mic you have!
If u get out of the vehicle u get what u deserve that is their home
Stay in your car stay close to ur car .Great advice Trouble is not everyone listens .
A bison can charge a car and turn it over. Omg. People are stupid.
But that is extremely rare. Most of the attacks we see are people getting way to close outside of their car.
That’s a great video! Those animals are amazing!
They showed more wisdom than the American tourists by getting in the car. This protects the people and the Buffalo. If you fell the need to be up close, use a telephoto lens. Great video.
Very, VERY uneducated, senseless, and unsmart to exit the vehicle.
I DEFINITELY would EXIT the vehicle if I was there. I'm SMART.

Thanks. That was quite interesting. You enjoyed your trip, I hope.
These people die quite often in their quest to get that perfect selfie Shot. "I'm going to go virile and be world famous, or die trying" 🎲🎲

So refreshing to see people honoring the bison instead of acting so foolish.

Same with coyotes. They know where you are and what you're doing anytime you're in their "space".
Looks like those risk-takers are adrenalin junkies. Selfish behavior
I can’t help but be disappointed when people get out of their cars and nothing kills them

Bison, when they decide to move can sustain 45 mpg. Also head down tail are warning signs. Noise like than is not a good sign.
Good job, getting back in your car. In a split second they can decide to come after you. And they would win.
got out of the car, see me on camera, camera, see I got stupid written all over my face. mess with the bull get the horn.
My son lives in Montana. Smart people don’t get out of their cars at all!
The Car isn't going to Save You if the Bison wants to Scratch or Protect it's Territory.
If you can hear them you're to frickin close
Nice to see visitors following the safe distance rules. Thank you.
Excellent video and audio.
Awesome looking animals
You're supposed to stay in your car, dummy. Don't visit a place and DISRESPECT it.
It's good you kept your distance, enjoy YNP !!!!!!!!!!!
That one you got into the car for was eyeing you. Good time to retreat. Also the other visitors can set them off.
And those wild herds make such threatening growling sounds. There is a video of a pet buffalo on uTube gingerly walking thru a house without growling.
There are signs all over Yellowstone to stay in your car and leave the Bison alone. Stupid disrespectul humans are ruining everything.
We have the same in Glacier National Park only ours say Bear Country or Grizzly. They still get out of their cars and approach them on trails. Idiots!

Wow. All that grumbling. 🐃
Sounds exactly like that in person too, way more intimidating though.
I love these animals. I don't know of any other ungulate that makes vocalizations similar to that. Does anybody else?
Look how dry that area appears to be!!!!
not real bright getting out of the car
The lowest part of our times taking selfies way too close to nature.
