I'm watching on my phone so I couldn't scan it. so thanks also, they have 'Never Gonna Give You Up' in most karaoke bars. do what you will with that info
Dooo seemed a lot more talkative this episode than others I noticed, and I honestly think it's because ya'll were talking about a shared interest which is music. Which was awesome to hear you guys talk about, that's gonna make me pick up my ukelele again and start playing:)
59:35 Soup, you're succeeding! I won't disclose my exact age, but I got into guitar a year or so back because of this group! Dooo sparked my interest, McNasty made it feel tangible, and YOU made it a dream of mine to perform on stage! Keep it up, man. You're doing much more than you know. Also, caught in the crossfire is still stuck in my head.
59:36, you guys are actually the reason why i got a guitar and started practicing, found it so cool how you would just randomly play a guitar and everyone contributed in one way or another
I seriously think when yall talk about music it's your best podcasts. I can listen to it all day as someone who plays guitar but doesn't know much music theory it really makes me wanna learn.
As a Brit, I fully give permission for "the queen's ashes" to be a flavour of gamersupps Edit: anyone who wishes for this to be a flavour, leave your comment below. We NEED to make this happen
I bought a cheap guitar for $150 3 years ago. still trying to learn to play. Got inspired to get one due to a Mechanics course, had to do a presentation about something we could talk for 5 mins about and one lad did his about guitar. He had an Epiphone SG and the lecturer (an old guy must of been 70's) said "one thing I regret in life is not learning an instrument". The Doo inspired me to get back into it after leaving it for a year and a half. I mainly use Rocksmith to try and learn. But i do get frustrated that my fingers dont always move how i want them to. the phrase "the mind is willing, but the flesh is weak" comes to mind
Just wanna say, Dooo you inspired me to pick up my guitar again and I haven't stopped for 2 years. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for you so thank you
I have an AP Music Theory class and it is SO HARD. But it's cool learning a bunch of things especially since my primary clef is bass clef since I play cello but now it'll be easier to play other clefs and I really hope I learn to play guitar and piano because I feel like those are pretty good to know.
Yess have mcnasty do that same thing every intro, but each episode if you wanna spice it up you could all either join for an epic friEnDinG beat, or one of you can add to it like dooo did this time haha it always gets my hyped i love it
You guys are actually the cause of me wanting to get into guitar, because you guys always talk about rock or metal bands so i looked it up, fell in love and it just happened, too bad i can't buy a guitar and an amp right now so i learned music theory before even getting an instrument to memorize the notes on
For Dallas: My career is being an engineer for the music scene. Something that you wanna do is form your LLC and make a formal business email for your band. You wanna go out and find some good entertainment lawyers to point you in the right direction for where you wanna conduct business. The one I know is an old professor of mine that works with Tenacious D. His name is Stephen Nebgen. He's only licensed for the state of Arizona but I'm sure he could give you some good tips on finding good managers and some good entertainment lawyers in your area. Godspeed man. Can't wait to see where Spackjaw goes.
That stabbing in Canada happened 30 minutes away from my place. RCMP were everywhere and still are. 11 died and 18 were injured and it happened at James Smith Cree nation and Weldon Saskatchewan
Doo got me into guitar and then I saw soups metal on 1 string video and the Afterburner cover I really got into metal so I bought a Jackson and I've been playing for a year and a half and even started my own band I'm so glad I came across you guys
I started playing guitar before I discovered Dooo, but once I found his BO2 guitar videos it inspired me to try harder and keep practicing. Now I've been playing for 6 years and I play guitar for sorority girls at Murray State
I got a guitar because of the doo back then too but I kind of gave up trying to learn when I went to college. Now I'm graduated and I'm picking it back up because I want something to do.
i be replaying the beginning of this podcast like 60 times over cause its a BANGER edit: i hate (jokingly) how they make this type stuff on the spot, but then decide to post 'lemme eat dat ass' on goons gaming
hearing mcnasty talk about extended range guitars is awesome cus i have a 7 string and 8 string and man it reminded me how much really need a multiscale lmfao
The music conversation y’all had on here was awesome!!!! So much respect for people doing what I have done. Then kids & trouble happened so I’m getting back into it. Thanks Dorks!!!!
I started playing guitar 2 years ago because of Doo's Omegle videos. As of now, i've done one performance and am going to do another performance next year, for my schools talent show. So, Soup, job well done!
Gotta admit too, Doo made me want to learn guitar as well I learned some stuff about the guitar I never thought I'd be interested in. Now I own one and though I don't work hard to learn it, i learn for fun and just like to play some stuff for myself.
This podcast is the best because they have the completely fcked really funny ones but also wholesome ones like this where they just talk about stuff they like and they’re both interesting and fun to listen to
Sick vid, Songsterr is based for learning songs. Also, recording early on in playing music is good (even just one thing at a time and listening to hear if it's good). Reaper is an application for it, it's free and probably the best one. There are also free amplifiers and drums: ML Sound Labs. Then learn E Minor scale which on the low E string is: Open, 2nd fret, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, and then 12 is E again but an octave up. Then do notes on the A string. You can get miles with a Squier Bullet Stratocaster with a humbucker in it and this setup. You will need a sound-card for recording like a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. Just for anyone wanting to get into guitar that hasn't yet
I tuned into Soup's instagram live the other day, so, would any of the other goons be willing to stream playing guitar? Like on twitch or somewhere else
He's had a tough time lately, I think it's understandable. Last podcast he was in, he was obviously miserable but he's trying his best. Mans need the break.
I started playing guitar in 2008 and around 2015/2016 I found Rocksmith and all the stuff that I knew on guitar was either strengthened by playing that or I learned something new and built off that. Now I'm in two bands and am pretty proud of what I've done and accomplished.
Goons podcast intro music needs to include the following : McNasty beat boxing, Dooo dolphin noises, and Soup's contribution needs to be "SPERM", with maybe(granted he's not a goon) ft. Ethan dropping in some "Guatemala" and "are you feeling alive". Blarg can provide some "explosive" sound affects as well🤣
I was poor af so I couldn’t get anything but my neighbor was well off and his parents bought him EVERYTHING from the infomercials so I would go to his house and play with all his stuff lmao. I loved the ZooBooks and the markers that you blow into and it makes a spray paint effect. He also had a mini claw machine for candy. Moonsand. Moon shoes. Everything!

15:48 I completely agree. Yu-Gi-Oh cards had them card funk that smelled phenomenal
It's the man, the myth, the legend himself
I love the smell of a new deck, still play Yu-Gi-Oh sometimes but with troll/fun decks not meta or competition worthy things

I thought it was a dolphin squeal 🐬
Or a dying dolphin
Not even 10 minutes in and we're talking about SpongeBobs butthole....I fucking love this podcast
Duuuuuude spoiler’s! I now know that they talk about spongebobs butt hole my day has been ruined
