Hi. Thanks for your great video. It has helped me a lot in recalibrating the ACC radar. Two additions for my 2017 A4 B9 sedan: - the adjustment screws are not 3.5mm hex but T20 Torx, stainless, and seem to be very well protected against corrosion. No pliers needed. - on your car, the top left screw does horizontal adjustment and the bottom right one does vertical. On my car, it’s the other way round, plus the adjustment direction is flipped. They seem to have flipped the mounting 90°. Other than that, you saved me hundreds. Thanks!
hey, did you have to use "online ODIS" or did "cheap ODIS" do the job? i think i may have to build a calibration board for my a7, once i install a new sensor.. would like to know the process if you have time to give me some pointers?
@roadrunner9840 i had online odis but you can pay for like a one week access or one month now iirc. You can use the cheap cable tho. There are also people u can find on forums who will remote to your computer and can do the activations but most dealerships will activate control modules and other things for about 1 hour of labor
@roadrunner9840 it depends tho. On my c6 a6 i was able to do some of the control module activation using the pirated odis from china that came with the cable. But on my rs7 i had to buy the license. I also had to build a calibration board which was too much work. Keep in mind if u just need to calibrate u dont need online odis only need it if you need to activate the control module or a part that has the anti theft shit on it. The radars require activation. The camera doesnt. The control module does. It varies from car to car
@roadrunner9840 u also need to do an alignment btw when u calibrate so u need the lasers that go on the wheels if i recall i might have needed those for something else. I had some 3d models i used for those and for something else in this process but i forget what. Check thingiverse i found them there.will post any other things i remember its been a long time. U can actually sometimes reset the calibration using just a obd11 thing in their app but u have to guess at the offsets then test it then adjust then test it so using the calibration board and odis is much more reliable

Had a similar problem (bracket got bent after meeting a stump, doesn't look like any adjustments changed) and after the reset in OBDeleven ACC is working again. Almost went for VCDS, not really happy about the OBDeleven subscription model vs the buy-once VCDS, but I have to admit the OBDeleven interface/Bluetooth convenience is very nice.

I plan on removing my bumper to replace the front camera (Audi A6 C8) and would like to avoid recalibraring the ACC. Would it work if you disconnected the main battery while disconnecting the ACC so the control unit can't detect it was disconnected? I don't have the 48V system, only 12v mild hybrid.

Which way would you need to move the lower right adjustment screw to adjust for vertical misalignment? Mind this is a 2019 RS3 that I’ve got that went out of whack after getting new upper strut mounts and an alignment, vertical error is 2.7 degrees.
I got the tool, I made a few turn adjustments to the screw on the 8B radar but I do not see any values change in my OBD. I did do a security reset and the acc works now. I guess its going to continue calibrating until it goes out of range. What do I do now? Just wait until it stops working? I have a 2014 A8 L TDI
I changed the front tires and aligned the steering, after a few days I got the ACC misaligned error, is it possible that the steering alignment caused the error? the vertical alignment was high, I turned the screw as you explain and now I have the correct angles, but the error continues to appear even after static calibration at 1.20m from a wall

Hi mate i have 2015 audi sq5 with 1 front sensor only, i have vcds which read 1.22. I turn the screw anti clock wise 2.5 times. Still is going back close t same reading, also its not coming as - value after 4 cycle antic-clock wise in first place. Any sggestions
Hey, my Audi a6 c7 4g 2012 has an issue with the ACC and braking guard. The failcode is 02850 j770, from what I've understood its something wrong with one of the modules, I believe the slave from what I've found out by researching. Any info you could share regarding what I have to do to fix this? Is the slave module perhaps just broken and needs to be replaced, or could it possibly be enough with a calibration and it starts working again? One of the things I noticed is that in my screen menu the "audi side assist" is darkened out, can't click into that menu at all, but the 3 others are working which is adaptive cruise control, brake guard and lane assist, which is making me think which kind of issue do I rly have, would appreciate any info on this!

After entering security code 20103 (91153 did not work), then to the Basic Settings section, there is no "Reset misalignment angle for sensors". Just two options for clearing "personalization". Have you seen/heard of this before?
This depends on the actual radar version and firmware that it's running. You can try "reset personalization settings" option or just perform the adjustment and test drive the car to check if it will self-detect that the radar is now aligned properly.

There's something called parametrization. It's different than coding and adaptation. Parametrization can be done with program called VCP. AFAIK no other 3rd party software can do it.
Full scan of the car, clear all codes, test drive, check which codes reappear. U1123 means that there's a main fault in other module, so you need to check which one has a stored code other than U1123.

What is the Security Code for ACC module on Audi Q7 ( 2008 ) ? I could buy obdeleven version 12 pro only. no 11 anymore. it accepts only till port 65535 but it offers 91153 as coding security ( as vcds default as well as I know ) but it can not be use. Without it it can not be adjust, or adapt anything. Thanks for answers. Access authorisation failed incorrect access code. I bought this obdeleven because of this video only as I have the same ACC 00234 problem. Misadjusted coding value 0031168 in ACC menu 13. Channel 7 is turned on. Channel 2 value 1 shows 11111111 Value 255 where on chart live data value 1 is 1,392°, Value2 0,520°, Value3 0,440°onyl if ignition is on. I f I turn on the engine, the values changes to 65535 all of them. I have checked Channel 11 Value 1 =8.875°, Value2= -10.16, I have checked channel03 where values changed accordingly to the distance in fornt of the car where I stand correctly ( eg 2,97 ), -0.0 km/h, -0,67m, value4 =0.00 %. with ignition, when turned on engine
@@michicent I brought to service and they recalibrated with new values. They used the calibrator machine you know that prisms and positional part fixed into wheels and car in front of the x table etc.. than programming. They also had to reset the distance of tempomat as it keeps. With Obd11 there is no chance unlucky. This guy in the video had an enermous very rare luck to able to do with it. I have doubts that obd11 even capable for calibrating.
I'm using 2nd gen device with PRO license. But you can use the 1st gen as well if you have an Android phone. Both 1st gen and 2nd gen can do the same. The PRO license is the important part.
Just bought OBD11 PRO, but can't reset misalignment angle. After Enter login I have 1 option "20103" and then in "Basic settings" I see only these 4 options: - Reset personalization settings - Reset triggering documentation - Release of SWaP function - Deletion of a SWaP function Any idea how to reset the misalignment angles on my VW Passat 2.0tdi 2017? The problem is that my security access has only a range between 00000 - 65535 and in ACC section it offers me only one option 20103. And in your video you put the code like 91153 (bigger than my range allows). Could it be because I use PRO and not Ultimate version of the OBDeleven?

Cześć , wczoraj ustawialem radar w moim golfie 7r radar w zderzaku zgodnie z twoimi wskazówkami.;) Zmieniłem parametry kręcąc kluczem i zszedłem z 1.56 do 0.11 w misalignment angle oraz z 1.64 do 0.22 fast algorithms. Wczoraj jeździłem ponad godzinę autem i wszystko śmigało, nawet auto samo zahamowalo awaryjne samo.Dzisiaj podczas jazdy znów wyskoczył mi błąd z ACC, NIE DZIAŁA. Sprawdziłem vcds i parametry nie zmieniły się. Ale jest jeden parametr stały który martwi mnie bo jest na granicy . Jest to Vertical angle deviation i wynosi 0.83100 i to mnie martwi. Da się jakoś to wyregulować?? bo to może być przyczyną tego że radar traci zasięg ?? Dzięki i pozdrawiam

My 2016 sel lost acc and epc light popped with error code p2563 . the car was setting for a while like more than a month or so I used obd to rest the calibration washed the car thought maybe dust or a dead leaf but still nothing No cruise controls and front assist missing Any suggestion in what it could be much appreciated thank you
@@mrfixpl exactly. I work in the recalibration industry. Unless you have a certificate of successful recalibration for the system indicating the prior and adjusted values any accident caused by you can be dismissed as not insured due to vehicle tampering by a non licenced mechanic/auto electrician. We need to provide 3 obdII scan results, and a certificate provided by the recalibration software manufacture before any insurance company will sign off as the job being complete. I'm a qualified mechanic with over 10 years in the auto glass industry and am a part owner in a recalibration company. Please stop giving people this advice as it will kill someone one day.

It's not that simple. You can go back to old coding/adaptation values, but you can not restore old calibrations and basic settings. Those things are created during the calibration/basic settings procedure, ofter with special tools like calibration boards.

Different cars/radars can use different security access codes. Check what's listed in your car for this module.

There's something called parametrization. It's different than coding and adaptation.
Parametrization can be done with program called VCP. AFAIK no other 3rd party software can do it.

Uxxxx faults are communication errors (message missing or fault message from separate unit received).

@@claudiu1178 sounds like someone has been playing with the long coding and set it for options not programmed or fitted to the vehicle
Full scan of the car, clear all codes, test drive, check which codes reappear.
U1123 means that there's a main fault in other module, so you need to check which one has a stored code other than U1123.
@@upsidedown4155 I did nothing in this module. I changed things in module 9 almost for the lights, nothing special.
Hello from Q5 (2015) owner with defective ACC radarsensor. I bought a 2. hand sensor from ebay and now need to do the replacement. Will my car just accept the new sensor, or do I need OBD or like tool to do the configuration. Can anyone pls explain the needed steps (1,2,3...) to perform the operation. Thanks a lot.

What is the Security Code for ACC module on Audi Q7 ( 2008 ) ? I could buy obdeleven version 12 pro only. no 11 anymore. it accepts only till port 65535 but it offers 91153 as coding security ( as vcds default as well as I know ) but it can not be use. Without it it can not be adjust, or adapt anything. Thanks for answers. Access authorisation failed incorrect access code. I bought this obdeleven because of this video only as I have the same ACC 00234 problem. Misadjusted coding value 0031168 in ACC menu 13. Channel 7 is turned on. Channel 2 value 1 shows 11111111 Value 255 where on chart live data value 1 is 1,392°, Value2 0,520°, Value3 0,440°onyl if ignition is on. I f I turn on the engine, the values changes to 65535 all of them. I have checked Channel 11 Value 1 =8.875°, Value2= -10.16, I have checked channel03 where values changed accordingly to the distance in fornt of the car where I stand correctly ( eg 2,97 ), -0.0 km/h, -0,67m, value4 =0.00 %. with ignition, when turned on engine

@@michicent I brought to service and they recalibrated with new values. They used the calibrator machine you know that prisms and positional part fixed into wheels and car in front of the x table etc.. than programming. They also had to reset the distance of tempomat as it keeps. With Obd11 there is no chance unlucky. This guy in the video had an enermous very rare luck to able to do with it. I have doubts that obd11 even capable for calibrating.

Which ODB are you using to see the ACC misalignment angles and to reset it?
I'm using 2nd gen device with PRO license. But you can use the 1st gen as well if you have an Android phone. Both 1st gen and 2nd gen can do the same. The PRO license is the important part.

Just bought OBD11 PRO, but can't reset misalignment angle. After Enter login I have 1 option "20103" and then in "Basic settings" I see only these 4 options:
- Reset personalization settings
- Reset triggering documentation
- Release of SWaP function
- Deletion of a SWaP function
Any idea how to reset the misalignment angles on my VW Passat 2.0tdi 2017?

@@YuriyStetsyshyn Try with the "Reset personalization settings". Different cars can have different radars and firmware versions with different options.
The problem is that my security access has only a range between 00000 - 65535 and in ACC section it offers me only one option 20103. And in your video you put the code like 91153 (bigger than my range allows). Could it be because I use PRO and not Ultimate version of the OBDeleven?
i have a s3 2017 ,i have this error because i change my front grill (rs3 ) without disconnect battery...i play with screws ...my bad :( so i buy obdeleven and i do the reset...its work...but my misalignment is before -2.168 ( m.angle , hori) and -1.304 (horiz.fast algo) after align..0.023 and 0.082 and vertical 0.383 ....but the warnig come back ???!!! why any idea ?

Cześć , wczoraj ustawialem radar w moim golfie 7r radar w zderzaku zgodnie z twoimi wskazówkami.;) Zmieniłem parametry kręcąc kluczem i zszedłem z 1.56 do 0.11 w misalignment angle oraz z 1.64 do 0.22 fast algorithms. Wczoraj jeździłem ponad godzinę autem i wszystko śmigało, nawet auto samo zahamowalo awaryjne samo.Dzisiaj podczas jazdy znów wyskoczył mi błąd z ACC, NIE DZIAŁA. Sprawdziłem vcds i parametry nie zmieniły się. Ale jest jeden parametr stały który martwi mnie bo jest na granicy . Jest to Vertical angle deviation i wynosi 0.83100 i to mnie martwi. Da się jakoś to wyregulować?? bo to może być przyczyną tego że radar traci zasięg ?? Dzięki i pozdrawiam
Tam chyba wartość nie może przekraczać 0,80 i schodzić mniej jak -0,80 najlepsza wartość to 0,00 lub jak najbliżej 0.

i only can write a code between 00000 - 66000...

Are you saying that aligning the radar myself is against insurance rules?
@@mrfixpl exactly. I work in the recalibration industry. Unless you have a certificate of successful recalibration for the system indicating the prior and adjusted values any accident caused by you can be dismissed as not insured due to vehicle tampering by a non licenced mechanic/auto electrician.
We need to provide 3 obdII scan results, and a certificate provided by the recalibration software manufacture before any insurance company will sign off as the job being complete.
I'm a qualified mechanic with over 10 years in the auto glass industry and am a part owner in a recalibration company. Please stop giving people this advice as it will kill someone one day.

Just go to history and put all back what you changed.
Simple
It's not that simple. You can go back to old coding/adaptation values, but you can not restore old calibrations and basic settings. Those things are created during the calibration/basic settings procedure, ofter with special tools like calibration boards.
