1/4 cup of bleach per 15 gallons of water in the fresh tank is sufficient. 1/2 cup per gallon will require multiple flushings of the fresh tank due to lingering odor.
I love the upgraded faucets. Could you please provide the brand and model numbers for the kitchen and bathroom sink faucets? We just dewinterized our 400 and need to replace our stock Dometic faucets.
This just happened to me too. No idea what to do. I'm wondering whether it has something to do with the yellow valves under the bed and whether I accidentally just put sanitizing solution in my Alde!
We have a Cirrus 820. I keep seeing things that say "don't forget to set the Alde bypass valve to the flow position" -- but you haven't mentioned that and the only valve I can see is a yellow one that already seems to be in a flow position. Is there something I'm missing?
The bypass valve is built into the Nautilus System in the Cirrus 820. The red knob on the panel receives water from the cold water supply line. If it is in the sideways position, water will go into the hot water fixtures without going through the hot water heater. If it is in the upward position, water goes to the hot water heater first. Great! Very helpful. This is straightforward for quickly sanitizing the hot/cold water lines and fixtures that had antifreeze. How do you also sanitize the 22-gallon fresh water tank (2022 T@B 400)? Did you siphon only 1 gallon of sanitizing fluid from your 5-gallon bucket, or all 5 gallons into the tank? (Maybe you filled the tank all the way?) Your strong 1:32 bleach solution (1/2 c bleach/gallon water) is very effective at disinfecting after only a few minutes, but it may require multiple rinses to clear the bleach odor from the tank. What method does nüCamp recommend for sanitizing the fresh-water tank? Thanks!
Hi Douglas! We're glad you found the video helpful! You will need to do a complete flush with fresh water after running the bleach solution through your system. Please send your questions to our technicians as they are better suited to answer your questions! You can reach them at tech@nucamprv.com ☺
@@nucamprv Do you need to have the bleach solution 'sit' for a while - other sanitization videos suggest that the bleach solution sit in the lines for 8-12 hours.
@@christopherwilson2684 At this concentration it should sanitize within minutes. Once the bleach has been run through your system you can flush with fresh water. You can flush with freshwater multiple times if there is a lingering bleach odor.
This is a really useful video. I hope NuCamp will make more maintenance and how-to videos like this. Thanks
Thank you! We are so glad you found the video helpful. We do have more Tech Talks planned for this year ☺
Very helpful and detailed. Much appreciated.
We're glad you found it helpful!
Thanks for the video! Very helpful!!
Thank you for this!!
You're welcome! Happy camping!

Agreed and good info for practical sanitation.

Hi, Ryan! We're so glad you love the new faucets. Could you please contact help@nucamprv.com? Thank you!
I am dewinterizing but when i get to the dry camping mode step and turn on the pump, nothing comes out of my faucets. I’m stumped?

Don't forget your pressure reducer when hooking up to city water.

@@nucamprvhow would letting one gallon drain through the tank sanitize the whole tank?
Do you have a video for a 2020 T@b 400?
How long does it take to siphon the sanitizing fluid? I’ve been waiting for over an hour and it only pumped in a gallon.
Please contact tech@nucamprv.com with questions. Thank you!

When in the powerfill mode to fill the freshwater tank should the pressure regulator be attached to the hose?
Yes, you should use a water pressure regulator.
How can we apply this to a 2020 work no nautilus system?
