It's kinda funny to me how in this episode they made a reference to the comic version of the What If series involving Spider-Man and Dr. Strange's Cloak and the Marvel Zombies comic where the zombies kept T'Challa alive for food.
I think the ending is more optimistic than it appears. Zombie Thanos probably no longer knows how to use the stones (properly). And since the zombie's primary "goal" is to eat and spread the disease, they can distract him with a nice and tasty snack and go for the arm.
I mean…they only glowed when being channeled or activated soooo I think he remembered…. Now he might either just double the living population OR I suspect he makes gateways to other realities (much like the F4 did in the comic) and that’s where the multiverse avengers step in bc party Thor mentions the zombies
