sorry for being lazy with leaving comments but I've been meaning to say for a while that I'm really impressed with the amount of content you've managed to produce lately, especially as you have managed to maintain you're traditional high quality of the content and production, especially in relation to your reviews. I don't understand how you're able to find the time to produce it all, you must be constantly working with no time off. That said it's fantastic for those of us that love this channel. If you're able to ikeep it up then that would be absolutely amazing. ps. Have been hoping for a Aqua for the AM5 platform since release but after seeing this disaster of a board I'm good if they never release one.... No monoblock, no USB-A or even a real dongle or hub solution, no Screen, no current gen thunder bolt but you still want the same price..... Craziness
Well, I believe I seen previous Aqua mobos above 1000$... This is pretty much a OC-Formula (which is the best mobo you can get for oc) and liquid cooling. Pretty much the best you can get.
The issue with the older AQUA boars was they did not last long most at least the z490 ones died in the first year. I know the one i had lasted only 6 months but seeing there on the Taichi line they might have a better chance.
I am actually all for all USB C ports though Im not reading anywhere stating what wattage and amps is coming out of those USB C, would be amazing if they were at least 15 watt PD so a number of devices just need the one port to power and send data to. Such as high powered USB audio interfaces.
I'm interested in the OCF, though a bit of a bummer they slimmed down the rear IO so much. No HDMI out kinda kills it, and whats with the PS/2 ports.. other than that some of the other features are quite interesting. Then theres the Asus Apex and Gigabyte Tachyon which are both white/silver... 😅🤢 'Banging face on wall' I miss EVGA..
you dont always loose lanes when populating m.2 i have a z690 dark kingpin here, populated all m.2 (there are 3), and all running with 4.0x4 , gpu x16 etc.
Usually boards at this price point have a niche audience. But with the CPU's that go into it performing so badly that even the previous Intel generation chips outperform them I do wonder who would be willing to fork out $999 for this knowing full well they're not getting the best performance in the market. It's a real conumdrum.
Mobo prices are complete BS. Stop buying them when they're at this price - all that's happening is people are fueling them by acceptance. It makes no difference how good they look - it's not worth an additional $500.
I'm ok with top-tier or exotic boards being expensive. They are meant for a certain buyer. Now, when very basic boards start at around 350, that's ridiculous.
@@deviantbuilds Value is completely subjective in that respect. The fact is, there is no way that board is worth $1K when you look objectively on the value of the components. Yes, they probably are for whales, but the issue is, it's likely to drive the price up overall across the board. When you pay this amount of money for the cosmetics, it just doesn't work from my perpective, and I've even gone down the pretty expensive route when building a rig. Each to their own I guess, but when manufacturers artificially inflate the cost of their products (which we seel most of them doing, even with food - and people buy it, why would they reduce the costs :(.
@skynetintex5878 top-tier enthusiasts boards have not had a massive price change in a good number of gens. The z590 rog maximus extreme was 899, and the new one is 999. Account for inflation, and it has actually gotten cheaper. Same with z590 god-like, which is basically the same after inflation. Mean, while a lot of b series boards for both platforms, that were 200-250, are now 300-350 +/-. It's that tier that has seen a bigger increase in prices. That's the section of the market that need to speak with their wallet and hold off until prices drop. One can argue that it is the 1k plus boards pulling up the prices of lower end boards, but i personally don't think so. At the end of the day, if the people in that segment didn't buy them, they would go down in price.

Great idea on the quick disconnect.

Stu!! We finally did it!! We got them to put a temp sensor on the board!!
Hilarious it’s the first one that doesn’t have a monoblock.
I bought the Z690 Aqua for my eldest to build him a new custom loop. Lovely board. This new one seems half hearted.
👍 for pointing out the design issue with the block on m.2
Of all the Z890 boards, this is the most gorgeous (I am sucker for white builds) and all my devices/peripherals use USB C. I need this board.
It’s silver with a white PCB.
@@ZackSNetwork I never said it was white, but this is the board you would go for for a high end white build ;P

They could design quick disconnect just by putting a screw over that hole. If you screw it in deeper it would block the water.
