With any justice in the car enthusiast/video watching universe, these two guys will be ruling the YT roost
in the genre' in short order. Hagerty, Davin and Tom are all class acts and the production values have
been there from the get-go, too.
I only hope, knock wood, that Hagerty doesn't wind up going the route of Motor Trend in such things.
Thanks for all you do, guys.

Thank you for making the videos! My kids (7,4,3/12”) love watching with me. They can’t come to my job and watch me work but here they can see a lot of what I do at work and I can pause and explain more to them.

I subscribed to this channel because of Davin, even though I'm not related to him I'd be proud to call him or Tom family.
Watching this channel is an amazing thing and I look forward to the content Davin and Tom put out. I'm always stoked to watch these and wish I could jump in and help out with these projects.
You guys do a great job and make great content so thank you to the hosts and the crew behind them. You all make this happen and at least for me you make my week a little brighter after wrenching on AG equipment to pay the bills. Just wish you were next door so I could pester you to let me help out.
    Again Thanks everyone!!

Really going to enjoy watching the Rebuild on this old modified. Reminds me of the cars at the local dirt tracks when I was a kid. RIP Jimmy Shampine 8-ball.

What a cool old race car...fun rebuild.
My grandfather owned a welding shop back in the 30's up thru 70's and he loved car racing as his hobby so he built and sponsored race cars. And this car Davin & Tom are rebuilding looks alot like grandpas cars.
By todays standards these are not super fast cars but these old cars have a "cool" factor that beats in the heart of every car guy.
Great show guys can't WAIT to see how she looks when finished! 🏁

Congrats on the Y.T. success. Totally relate to and understand your statements regarding the "satisfaction" feelings that come with "resurrecting" any old iron. About impossible to describe. It needs to be experienced to completely understand. Notice how so many of us viewers and ALL of the creators "climax" when a old , long time dormant, motor comes back to life !! Similar to the "first start" on a fresh rebuild !! A truly unique experience !! Thanks for the content and continue to enjoy your good fortune !! 👍👍👍😜

Oh my, best crossover I could ever imagine. Keep 'em coming. By the way when it comes to media blasting heavily pitted parts I find copper slag based media to be most efficient. Then to give it nice finish I change media to glass beads.

1 thing's for certain: you're never bored watching either program. My automotive life has been a combination of both worlds way before UA-cam: 3 of my cars were "barn finds" and another 2 required a "rebuild" in 1 form or another. I learned something from all of them.

Those axle housings/side bells are Ford 3/4 ton (F2) parts as are the full floating axles and brakes. It takes two Ford axles to make one quickchange axle. Inside you will find a bearing spacer on one side. Ingenious.

Congrats on the million subscribers! I hope you guys know you and a couple other channels (cough, VGG, JD) are kinda the new Roadkill since Roadkill went to MTOD. Keep it up.
And I also have to say that after quite a few years using other insurance, I planning on going back to Hagerty now that I'm allowed to haul stuff in my truck bed. Glad that changed. I should be able to pay like HALF what I am paying now, which is awesome. Great to see representation on YT from a company that helps support the hobby itself.

When cleaning Alloy parts i use a Wet blaster. the surface doesn't get pitted like it does with a dry blast. it also puts a protective peened skin on the parts which gets a sheen and is easy to clean with a rag.

The segmented brake shoes is an old trick for displacing heat that they used in race cars and airplanes before going to disc brakes. Usually they were metallic or semi metallic linings to take the abuse and as I remember were an option on 1963 Corvettes.
