@Steve Jones Me too. It was the sounds that got me, as in the noises, so new, so unlike anything I'd heard before. The 'how on Earth did they make that sound' curiosity. This State Azure stuff is absolutely outstanding.
@Steve Jones Def right up with the very, very best. Never had any questions - I'd be there for at least a month, there are so many (re the set-up etc).
I've listened to Electronica from the best for 45 years and this set i.m.o is right up there. Took me on a deep internal journey. Outstanding work State Azure!
A beautiful ambient work here! While I am reminded a bit of some of my favorites like Michael Stearns, Steve Roach, Suzanne Ciani, Jean-Michel Jarre, Brian Eno, Vangelis, Steven Kindler, Constance Dembe, Christoper Caouette, Michael Hoenig, Peter Baumann, Johannes Schmoelling, Tangerine Dream (Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke and Paul Haslinger), Klaus Schulze, Giles Reaves, Jonn Serrie, Patrick O’Hearn, Garry Hughes, Eberhard Schoener, Michel Genest, Mark Isham, Ashra, and maybe a few more. :)
@@tubethis777 There's the occasional Richard Wright bleeding in there too, which is cool. Some of the first rock music I ever liked when I was a kid was Pink Floyd.

I'm up to about 30 SA albums or single-track compositions I've purchased off Bandcamp or iTunes. So moved by your music. I've especially enjoyed To a Distant World Pts. 1-4. But, I stumbled on your visual composition here on the SA UA-cam channel...this adds so much to the enjoyment to see HOW these incredible pieces are crafted. They flow from a gifted mind. So impressive. Keep them coming.
This is just absolutely gorgeous. I bought an Iridium, yesterday. It'll be arriving in a couple of days and videos/presentations like this just make me so excited.
love on a real train regrowing old psychedelic vibes, hearted high hz in background with a final surrender on sea edge...tonight our spirit was enriched (again) with a new experience. thank you so much.
Simply majestic! A great composition with a stunning balance of choice patches, expertly conducted to produce this masterpiece. One of the best pieces of music I've experienced recently - congrats!
Always a beautiful composition with State Azure. Makes me feel like I'm in a different dimension on its self on a world yet to discover. A true piece of art, thanks for sharing this with the world.
MAGIC! Your creative blends are all yours, and in one take no less. You've become an icon unto yourself, so I don't think you need to bow to anyone in your field. I love what you've been doing & enjoy each new inspired expression as they come. You've added a bit of joy to this unstable little planet. Namaste' CM
I absolutely love this. Takes me back to the days when tangerine dream came onto the music scene. I pick up my aqoustic guitar when I listen to your music and play along using open tuning. It's fun
A little homage to Pink Floyd detected among the Vangelis, TD, et al here; all very cleverly woven within an ethereal frame. Perfect for a little late night thought provoking meditation. One of your best works Sir.
Yes, the set is also heavily inspired by both (and in particular) Vangelis and Pink Floyd, Le Matos, Carbon Based Lifeforms, TD, Steve Roach and more...
I've listened to your music for hours and so rarely heard drums.... The track at 11 min is amazing!! Do more stuff with percussive elements, it adds a whole new layer to your already amazing music :)
Thanks! I used to do a lot more with percussion, but with stuff like this I'm trying to showcase the Luftrum soundset sounds and so prefer to keep additional stuff like that to a minimum.
Beautiful stuff. I'm really glad I stumbled across your channel. I was even more pleased when I discovered that you are on Spotify too. Now I can listen to your music without having to have UA-cam open and active on my phone. Keep it up. This is great.
I absolutely love this. There are the obvious homages in the presets: Floyd, Jarre, and Vangelis. Perhaps a tiny nod to Eno as well. But it's all put together in such an evocative way...seamless and natural. While I wouldn't describe it as sparse, nothing is too dense. This is going to be on the speakers and over the headphones a lot in the coming days.
thanks State Azure, this piece conveyed the perfect emotion and idea for this moment I am in. Wonderfully deep and rich atmospheres, defined with your palette of textures. Progressive and warm. Well done once again!
The work that you compose is pure. Peace feels my ears and the soul is healed. Thank you so much! Words can't describe the magic you create. I started listening to your work in the shop and it's like some one else takes over. Creating new works of art. Thank you!!!!
... discovered your music just 10 minutes ago ... blew me away ... already hooked ... will listen again and again ... and again ... many thanks for sharing this with the rest of the world !
I have never heard or experienced anything that would even come close to State Azure in my entire life... And I am a child of the 80s writing this... It is beyond believe that State Azure is not being recognized and appreciated more... To me, State Azure is the Emperor of Ambient EDM - full stop.
The sweeps and pads are so Jarre'ish in a good way and then by the time you hit polygoblin you're in a flow man. Really enjoyed your music, keep it coming..
Amazing! I have been making music my whole life, Classical Piano since I was 4 years old, 44 now and still love it...so my ears are tuned...this just sounds like something otherworldly and magical...Well done! love your work bro! Jeramiah from NZ
I'm liking this one a lot. That bass. I used to listen to Vangelis and Tomita and Synergy a decent amount. I can hear a lot of familiar sounds in here, and I mean that as a compliment.
You are a very talented musician. Youre music helps me to paint my spiritual art. Its so beautiful so i had to subscribe. Youre music takes me to a place where I can be at peace with myself.
State Azure - right up there with the very best of them. CBL, Basinski, The Orb, TD etc. Absolutely outstanding.
Thanks for the recs for other artists ;)

Agreed, like listening to Equinox or Phaedra for the first time. Beautiful stuff.
@@robertgrant721 Ha yes absolutely!
the first sound immediatly hypnotized me.
I swear, sometimes I think you sound more like Tangerine Dream than Tangerine Dream does! This is top drawer stuff you're putting out. Keep it up! :D
Definitely
I'd say a blend with Jean Michel Jarre as well, both my favourites (I also like Carbon Based Lifeforms, would like to see something on that line)

Glad to see O'Hearn, Serrie, and Eno on your list. Those 3 were my introduction to ambient electronic music in the 90s.
I felt that we are space brothers when I read your list of my all time favorite artists. May you be blessed abundantly.
Just came back from a class with a bunch of kids, hit resume on this and it calmed me right the heck down.
Seriously such beautiful compositions here.
Thank you for your service

Ok, I don't know a thing about this setup but it looks like it came straight out of an 80's sci-fi movie. Love it.
I played your tracks last night on Spotify. Man, heaven sent. I never slept better.

Outstanding Brilliance to my ears. Thank You SA :)
I love the Luftrum sets for Diva. Had no idea they made one for Iridium. Pretty sweet.
Amazing, truly a masterpiece.
You really make that Iridium sing!
I love what you do. You have continued the journey of etheral sonic bliss from where Vangelis and Tangerien Dream left it.
Not sure if you were proving it's worth with that Shine on You Crazy Diamond sound, but you damn sure nailed it. Loved this!
Thank you!
Thank you for existing
