Hi friends! Here I come today with a translation for Halyosy's Connecting. This is uploaded in tandem with Connecting - World Edition ver Amity and ver Borders, as my friend Tune and I provided the English translation for that collaboration, as we did with Blessing - World Edition beforehand. I've refined it a little in this video so there are a few minor differences in wording. I will link both videos of Connecting - World Edition down below if you would be interested in checking them out. Everybody worked their butts off trying to make it the best it can be, so I'd love it if you'd check it out.
Sorry the subtitles are a little less fancy than they could be! In like 5 days time I leave for a semester exchange to Japan so I've been in a mad rush lately getting my affairs sorted for the trip, so I haven't had much time for subbing. That and I was also busy making closed captions for the collaboration haha.

- Honestly, I've been looking at this translation for so long I can't remember anything of particular interest. It's like when you work on an assignment for so long you lose all actual understanding of what you've written and just kind of go with the flow.

I started listening to Vocaloid songs when I was in grade 5 and now I'am in grade 7. I have many problems at school and at home, but when I listenend to Vocaloid songs, I felt, that I has calmed down. Their songs have so many meanings, it doesn't matter if they are sad or happy. Every time I heard their songs I thought about my life and the songs gave me motivation to not end my life and to life, to struggle, to face forward and to move on even if I've experienced painful things. I am so grateful to the producers and the Vocaloids and Utauloids. As time flows by I always think about how to repay or thank them, because I was saved so many times by their kindness.

I'm.....I feel so....I listened to the collaboration version and I honestly preferred that but the meaning in this one is too strong...I basically live an unsociable life and I'm a shut in and a computer addict and I came stumbling upon this game called "Ameba Pigg" there...I began to enjoy my life, my laughs were real and that's because I met my real friends, basically online friends, we were all seven and we hung out everyday so we decided to have a group called Lunacia and never have I ever met some people so similar to me, it had only been 1 year since it was formed but I really, really, really wanna meet all of them...they're seriously the one I showed affection to, the only ones I feel attached to...this song just speaks all the things I want to say, this song is basically about VOCALOIDS with their owners but this one really reminded me and Lunacia,
Mogeko, Bun, Yan, Zone, SB, and Hina...I hope we meet someday. 💜 (used their screen names)

Andie Meiko's voice is a lot more "edgy" than Luka's, who's is soft and mellow. Meiko has more of an accent than Luka as well.
I listened this song, after reading article about the bad events that I accidentally found (its related topic include suicide, channel hijacker) , it made me feel very down and started questioning my life... it was night and I need to sleep, so I search for a song to help me and found this...
This comment, toward translators and the original creator, whoever you are, you helped me have good night sleep and remind me that I need to do something so one day, the bad events I read will be existed only in history books, so one day...

+Kaori Fujimiya I personally like the comments that tell a "life story". Most artists want to know how you felt, how you found, any actual commentary besides "N1ce S0ng Br0 mak3 m0r3" or something with little thought. It also helps me feel "Connected" to other fans of vocaloid. I have a story, a personality, an actual human connected to a username.

I don't really write these type of things but I always loved japanese and vocaloid songs, I think it's because they have an aura and a meaning, a feeling. Some english songs have feelings but I feel like most of them are forgotten. I love you Japan!!!

The people singing aren't people at all, they're personas from a computer singing program called "VOCALOID" so I can definitely see why people would think the voices resemble that.
