We need a Mexico map. Pronghorn, coues deer, desert mule deer, desert pronghorn, javelina and mountain lion for the big game. Also we need a spotting scope. I’d also love to see another Alaska map with Dall sheep and a Himalayas map with ibex similar to classic but with multiple types of ibex. A Spanish map would do the same with ibex types
@@redfang801that's what I've currently been doing just long range "sniping". Would love to see a spotter scope to actually be able to tell what I'm shooting at instead of playing a guessing game, and would also love to see bipods added in to get rid of sway for those long range shots. Also add a setting in where we can increase the render distance would be nice
Eastern woodland map based on Ohio, Pennsylvania area with massive white tails, coyote, Turkey, bobcat, and some small game like rabbit and squirrel. Also mobile camps you can set up for fast travel. We really need tree stands and tripods asap. I think a field dress and packout would also be a really interesting feature
I agree with you 100%. Turkey would be awesome. Just for the way the game works with the calling system, turkeys would fit right in. Tree stands would be great as well. That way you could set up on the travel paths and wait for them to come through. I don't think we'll get a field dress and packout system because of game ratings, but that would be legit.
I'm hoping the ammo change means we'll be able to stock up on more ammo. It's very frustrating having to go back to the lodge every 30-60 minutes (depending on how much I kill/miss when I hunt) to refill ammo and having to go all the way back to where I was because there's no tent to place to get back there easily. I would love to be able to have 200 bullets with my rifle, even if I have to pay for them. I don't need it to be free if it's only going to give me 20-25 of them.
Awesome. I cannot go back to call of the wild anymore. Not now when they fixed many things in way of the hunter. A little sad about that because i used to love cotw.
I asked on the discord yesterday about the trophy variations and one dev said it was more variety in the antlers, so we could possibly get non-typical or different sized racks for the lathers 5 stars
That sounds sweet. U should tell them to make the Remington 300 long range sound louder. It sounds like the 223 scout. The 243 sounds louder than the 300
I don't understand why more games don't do this. Virtually every firearm manufacturer makes each of their models in a wide variety of calibers. It makes no sense to limit each model to only one caliber in game.
Id love to see way of the hunter add some animals That CoTw has skipped / yet to add. If they beat them with an impressive new Asia map that would be huge.
I realize I've already commented on this video, but since then I've had several ideas, some of which a lot of other people have had too, and just figured why not chuck them out there. If anyone knows of a way I can get these in front of the eyes of the developers, that would be cool. The TLDR version is this, improved calling system, tree stands, further antler system improvements, dogs, a map with turkeys, and field dressing/packing out. Improved calling system: I don't dislike the calling system, its actually pretty good. However, I would like to see one change that to me would just make everything feel more real. Instead of animals responding to calls coming in literally on a straight line, just have them come in on some kind of non linear path. Whether that means using some AI to make them circle downwind as they come in or just some kind of non predictable pattern would be awesome. And also presenting a broadside shot at some point in this path. Again, I don't hate the current system, but this would improve it. I do think there could be some improvement to the rattling calls, but that's no biggie. If you wanted to get super fancy, maybe add combination calls or more aggressive calling options that present the risk of bringing in or scaring off your target animal. Tree stands/tripods/blinds: While I'm glad we have the permanent hunting stands in the game, I think the addition of tree stands/tree saddles would be incredible. I'm a saddle guy, so I definitely would like to specifically see that, but any kind of tree stand would be great. This would allow the player to set up anywhere they like, for instance on a path between two highly used areas, to get a shot. In addition, mobile tripods or ground blinds would provide a similar effect that would also be great. Any of these setups could reduce the risk of getting busted by your scent as well! This one definitely seems to be something a lot of players want to see and it makes sense. In the US at least, these are very popular for hunters. Further antler system improvements: This is another one that I don't dislike the way it is, but I feel like it could be better. I applaud the devs for creating this system. Its something I wished for in a hunting game for years prior and I think they've done a great job with it. There are a couple things I'd like to see though. For one, I'm not a huge fan of the poor genetics deer having mismatched base antlers on the right and left side. I get the antlers having different numbers of points, but there are quite obviously several different "base" antlers for whitetail, and when the deer have different base antlers on the left and right side, they look super wonky because they clearly don't match in any aspect. If poor genetics just meant a deer doesn't get big, that's fine, but the having two antlers that look like they belong on totally different deer is weird. This isn't just a low genetics thing either. I've had 3 and 4 stars that had mismatched antlers. Again, I don't care if the animal has more points on one side than the other, but the antlers need to be recognizably the same "base" antler on both sides. I would also love to see some more of these base antlers added to the game. At this point, all of my 3, 4, and 5 star deer look a lot alike (specifically for mule deer). I think adding some new antler variations, including non typicals, would be do a lot to refresh this game for me. Dogs: This would be massive for me. Dogs are a large part of hunting, specifically bird hunting. I would love to see the ability to have a pointer go pheasant hunting with me, point the pheasant, and then it flush for me to shoot. Additionally, a lab or other retriever that could find my ducks and bring them to me would be great. And if possible, a hound of some kind to tree raccoons. Even a dog to help locate animals we've downed would be fun. I realize these things might be a little far fetched, but I think they would be top quality additions to the game. Map with turkeys: I realize the devs are probably trying to add maps that represent locations around the globe, but if they make another North American map, I'd love to see it have turkeys. I think turkeys would be a great addition to the game. They would fit right in with the calling system and the star system. As birds grow older or as you improve genetics, they could have larger bodies, longer beards, and even longer spurs. Personally, I feel like a midwest or southeast US themed map would be great for this. The map could have whitetails, turkey, bobwhite quail, coyotes, bobcats, squirrels, rabbits, and even mountain lions or elk depending on the location. Just a thought. Again, I realize they probably want to add maps that represent more global locations, but if they do revisit the US I think a map with these species, especially turkey, would be amazing. Field dress/pack out: I realize this one is the least likely to happen. However, I think it would be super valuable. It reminds people that these animals are being consumed. I mean, one of the original story lines for the game surrounds a guy with a wild game restaurant.
I really would like to see either a Hawaii map with feral goats, pigs, and axis deer or a Mexico map with javelina and Coues deer, maybe even Mexican bison.
I'm super excited they're adding new maps (especially sense I'm finally getting a next gen console). I'm personally hoping for New Zealand and Texas for the next maps
I'm praying that the ammo changes mean we get bullets like the barnes lrx or badlands bulldozer. Bullets that really penetrate deeply, because right now we just don't have that. Since day 1 the terminal ballistics have bothered me. I went for a high shoulder shot on a 3* mule deer probably my 2nd hour of playing. With the 243 that bullet hit the shoulder blade, touched the spine, and by then had lose all it's energy. That deer ended up getting shot again in the lungs from about 300yds and the bullet barely had the energy to actually kill the deer from said lung shot. I'm just hoping new bullets will hold their energy better, or we get an update to the terminal ballistics as a whole. Especially considering an arrow into the lungs drops a cape buffalo stone dead, I think a couple tweaks are needed.
Hoping ammo change is a selection of different bullet types. I would like to see realistic selections on normal cup/core lead expanding ammo and copper bullet selections. My gut feeling is the game is simulating cup/core as I find penetration with most of the rifles lacking.
I killed a Mela Mule Deer my first night playing WOTH! It was a 1 star young, but with it being my first night I was impatient. He probably wasn’t going to make 2 star bc he was 54%
It would be interesting if they did it in the same order as cotw for maps so it would essentially be like this. Russia Argentina Spain Another US state map New zealand Mexico Another southern US state map Finland ( if it did come it would be the only map I hunt in woth ) Another US state map And Australia
Why why why are they doing rare fur? They should do non typical antlers if they’re going to do a rare variation. I feel like rare furs is just lazy. Also, I really hope one of the maps has turkey on it.
I agree, the antlers get wonky with bad genetics. It's the mismatching of the base antlers on left and right side that kills me, but this doesn't really simulate non typical antlers. My thing is, what percentage of real wildlife have an abnormal fur color? And who's really getting fired up cause they shot a deer that is darker than most? AND in most places it's illegal to shoot albino animals. That's just me. It seems lazy to me. I feel like working on and adding to the antler system is the way to go. I think they've definitely done a great job with the antler system, but it needs some fine tuning. But to each their own man. If you like the rare furs, I'm not hating. I just think there's better options.@mrappleslices8679

Would love to see a spotting scope added to spot animals from a greater distance to get a size on them before sneaking in close
That's exactly what I want. That is my biggest complaint about this game, 1000 yard render distance but 300 yard spotting.
I’ve wanted to do long range shots for so long dude, that’s exactly what they should add
I’ve been waiting for them to add spotting scopes for months.
@@redfang801that's what I've currently been doing just long range "sniping".

I’ve wanted a spotting scope in the game since it came out. Especially since you can see animals out past 1000 yards.

Such a promising future. I'm hoping for a desert map with coues deer & some sort of alpine map. I'd also love to see customisable clothing.
Right as you were shooting the Kodiak, I got an ad from a company called Kodiak Cakes. I swear the internet is alive and watching.
I think that slot that’s useless right now is going to be for tree stands and or tripods!
Im hoping the ammo change means you can select a rifle and then what caliber you want it in, for example you buy a sm12 and then choose it in 270.
I don't understand why more games don't do this. Virtually every firearm manufacturer makes each of their models in a wide variety of calibers. It makes no sense to limit each model to only one caliber in game.

I would love to see for the next two maps being Australia or New Zealand and an Argentina map.
I’d love an Australia map, plus a map somewhere in the Southwestern US, like Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico!

Give us an Arctic map with polar bears
great video Flinter! i think the word you was looking for was render :)
love the video's i love seeing what new content you make

Fantastic content!! Can the moose found in Nez Perce Valley be melanistic also?
i think some ideas will be texas, mexico, new zeland or Australia will be likely for sure
Love your videos Flinter :) keep it up!
So the steyr arms pack isn't part of the year pass?
Great video
LETS GOOOOOO

Maybe the bino update will let us be able to zoom in and out. Cause it sucks to not be able to. For me, atleast.
Can't wait to upgrade to PS5, WOTH looks so fun
Spotting scopes would be good to identify animals up 600m
Really hoping for a SE Asia map🤞🏼
What’s down in SE Asia?

If I had to guess on 1 of the maps for next year. It would have to be maybe Spain. For majestic Ibex and Mouflon.
I think they will go for a South American Map and maybe a cold climate map
I’ve never played way of the hunter but I’d like to try😊
I think trophy variants means maybe tru racks
Does anyone know if this game can be crossplayed?
Me and my brother want to play this, but have different consoles. Ps5 and Xbox x/s
Binocular update will probably be night vision.
a new map will surely be in South America
I hope west texas. Whitetail mule deer axis hogs collard peccary jack rabbit aoudad sheep maybe a duck species
All I want is for them to Add axis
It would be interesting if they did it in the same order as cotw for maps so it would essentially be like this.
Russia
Argentina
Spain
Another US state map
New zealand
Mexico
Another southern US state map
Finland ( if it did come it would be the only map I hunt in woth )

They might be thinking of adding an Australian map
Oh boy
Can someone clarify for me if we can create a custom character i dont wanna play as a chick and id like to be able to travel between maps like cotw
Unfortunately there's no character customization.
I hope for rare furs we get black furs for wolves or a Color phase black bears
Yea
Asian map in the jungle with tigers
Tents would be awesome but if it did happen it would be a more realistic cotw really
Scotland
As far as maps, I'm gonna predict Australia, India (or asian in general) or Russian.
