- This is a very strange premise, but still makes for a popular suggestion. While Goku already has great potential as a warrior, what if he had potential similar to Frieza's? Well... it'd be concerning to say the least. Since it's kind of a silly idea, of course we're going to have fun with it. I disagree. By the time he fights frieza, he would've been at least Jiren level. Think about it, Frieza trained for 4 months and went from namek level to ssj blue level. Goku trained for at least 4 years by the time the frieza saga happened, so just imagine his power.
If we ignored the fact that saiyajin species have an infinite bound of forms and power due to zenkai boosts, goku would be statistically around half the power of frieza black, making him over 50× his current manga power in top form

Goku was born with a naturally low potential (Hence the whole low class Saiyan thing) and made up for it with a desire to learn and overcame it.
Gohan has Frieza level potential as the son of someone with low potential. If Gohan was naturally born from someone with a great potential, he'd be steamrolling the entirety of Dragon Ball.

The Full Story probably one of my top 10 favorites on your channel Salad! Something I feel like could've easily been done of much poorer quality in the wrong hands, but you managed to keep it interesting and worth being invested in this What-If that was much more character driven for the Son Family then some may realize.

I propose to call a Saiyan with Frieza's potential a Mythic Saiyan.
Unlike a Legendary Super Saiyan who potential comes from rage and including it's signature transformation, a Mythic Saiyan is a type of rare mutant saiyan who's potential is already there from the start; who continues to grow stronger really quick after fighting or on the verge of death. They appear once every one thousand years like the Legendary Super Saiyan and will only appear as an ordinary saiyan whether an elite or low class.
That literally is how canon LSJ works now it was changed from the movie in DBZ to what your describing jn DBS

Only reason goku aged up when he turned into ssj4 in GT is because ssj4 puts the user into their prime which is like 30/40’s for saiyans

@@plant7371 thats the thing, freiza was more powerful than anyone until goku destroyed him, he had to be regenerated which takes time and got destroyed by future trunks and went to hell for however long ( i dont know how long ) which took more time without training and then the 4 months of him training he went from ssj1 z goku to ssb goku, thats scary, it took goku like 5 years

Loved this story. If only the real father/son Kamehameha happened like that. 1 thing I really think is overlooked is Frieza's final form is his base form, the others are condensed. It ranged from 530,000 to 100M at full power and he was battle worn too. So it makes sense that could make that much of a leap in power. Was that far-fetched that he skipped past the rest of Z.

@@mattbumanlag2611Not only is there no basis for that lie, it's actively contradicted by canon. FP Namek Frieza has been stated by every source as 120 million. His "half power" state is 60 million, confirmed. The idea that he was "battle damaged and that made him weaker" is complete head canon. Every actual source states otherwise.

I think Gohan should have gotten the ultimate form on top of rose SSJ4 to further justify him closing such a massive gap from where he was before.

I gotta admit, this scenario had me hooked right at the moment Gohan hit Raditz with a tactical nuke as casually as he did. Given that the Z Fighters actually like training, the power Goku and his lineage could get with Frieza’s Potential shouldn’t be too surprising. If you think about it, though, wouldn’t Bardok or Gine have to have it as well to be able to pass it on to Goku? And when Bardok rebelled, wouldn’t that push him to becoming a Super Saiyan as well? Food for thought.
We saw with Frieza himself that 4 months was all it took to go from getting rofl-stomped by Super Saiyan grade one, all the way to matching Super Saiyan Blue in terms of power. For reference (correct me if I’m wrong), 17 years have taken place in-series between the Frieza Saga’s end and Resurrection F. That’s how long it took the Z fighters to ascend to that level of power. That is how crazy Frieza’s Potential is, and he’s not even trying really.
I honestly think Frieza’s Potential is even more scary then we give it credit for sometimes. He more than likely wasn’t putting nearly as much effort into his training as he could’ve during those 4 months, both because the soldiers he has at his command during Resurrection F can’t realistically push him to transform, but also the fact that he despises training. He literally made a B-line for Earth the moment he got his Golden Form, not caring at all about the stamina drain a new form would put him through.
It’s a similar problem that plagued his Final 100% Power form in the Frieza saga as well. Not that the form was new to him, but without anyone to push him to use it, he didn’t get much of an opportunity to get used to that level of power, if at all, up until Goku goated it out of him.
That’s the thing with Frieza. He has his crazy potential, but until he can get it in his head that he needs to train to be able to better grasp the forms he has, instead of just attaining new ones, he’s always gonna have Goku and Vegeta get the better of him in a fight. His main problem isn’t how much power he has, it’s how long he can maintain it. If his opponent is smart and plays defensive, the stamina drain is always gonna be what makes him lose. This story is proof of this in spades. Great job, Salad. Keep it up.
The way mutations work in nature, is that someone had to be the first to get each thing, whether it's having fingernails, or blue eyes, or in this case, having super broken potential. Cooler and King Cold don't have Friezas potential, but it is likely his child would.
@@JohnDoe-yk3ji Wait, the mutation thing is actually legit? I thought they were calling Frieza a mutant from being intimidated because of how unnaturally strong he was, and spitballing ideas on why. Compared to his goons in his saga, Frieza was leagues beyond them. Even his father isn’t much of a good comparison. It does make sense though. 120 Million was such a huge jump in the villain power level department back then. I suppose I just never really thought about it like that.

I don't think the fans Ever downplayed Frieza's potential. If anything, I've heard more ppl say he was too powerful after his 4 months (& now even more) of training.

Yes that’s true that it would be boring, but realistically by the time Goku faced Freiza he would be Jiren level.
Frieza was a mutant. Goku isn't in this scenario. It's a situation like Gohan. Tons of potential, nobody to really help unleash it. Completely possible Goku still doesn't go ssj until he fights Frieza. He most likely doesn't die against Raditz and so doesn't train with King Kai. Leaving him behind Vegeta still when the saiyans arrive. Hell with no Kaioken Vegeta prolly gets the dub but they still can't kill each other. This would be the first major power gain for Goku. He heals and is immediately superior to the not only Vegeta but the Ginyu force. Now, if Ginyu still trades bodies and Gokus healed again, he's prolly on Frieza level now but certainly not final form Frieza. If Ginyu don't change bodies, Goku doesn't need to be healed, he gets clapped by Frieza. Again, nobody coulda pushed him to that level AND he doesn't have the training with King Kai to really separate himself from the rest like in canon.

Training helps but unless a saiyan is constantly being pushed to the limit, how do u see the gains like wat Frieza had in 4 months? Idk lol Frieza was born with so much power he made forms to suppress it, never trained and still required the strongest saiyan ever to turn super saiyan to finally use all his power and be beaten. I don't see it lol

This insanely great good work. You should have it turned into a show or a movie. This was one of the best and hopefully we will have a dragon ball super spin off of Goku having all of this happen. Then have Gohan combine beast mode, super Saiyan 4, with super Saiyan rose.

This was a lot of fun to listen to. It could be interesting to see how Goku performs in his new role and how it impacts his universe and others.
Here's a what if: What if Majin Buu absorbed Dabura, instead of turning him into a cookie? his power increase would at least be the same amount as Dabura's or Cell's as they said ssj2 Gohan fighting Cell could beat Dabura, so somewhere around that... but on top of that Buu would get Dabura's cunning mind and Magic, so he would skip spawning grey Buu and become more intelligent, but less powerful, although more versatile thx to magic and he might not kill Babidi to gain freedom... or he would kill Babidi and gain his magic too, much like Kid Buu (Babidi absorbed) from Dragon Ball Super Heroes (spinoff, manga, anime shorts, games etc.)

I love these stories man. Thank you for doing what you do best. Also I have a challenge for you. What if goku was reborn during the T.O.P? It sounds weird but hear me out. When goku gets pulled into his own spirit bomb, it sends his consciousness (1/8 of his physical strength and all his abilities) back to where his journey first began. I've watched a story like this (but he kept all his powers and transformations) but it went too far back into the past for me to be interested. I'm hoping you find this comment and make this idea a reality. Thanks in advance.

I know I'm late, but let me explain why Salad Saiyan makes funny moments about children turning into adults as Super Saiyan 4.
According to Akira Toriyama's GT files: When a Saiyan turns into an SSJ4, the warrior no matter what age changes into their prime state.
So basically, if Goten and Trunks achieve that power, it will show how powerful they will be when they're adults.
Alternative Title : Goku Speedruns Dragon Ball story mode
You do a better job of keeping Gohan compelling and relevant than the actual show.
It’d be cool having even more surprise negative outcomes, too, like personality changes (e.g. Gokus lazier/arrogant from the onepunchitis), new deaths (e.g. Roshi fatally wounded during training exercise), former allies, like Krillin or Yamcha Bulma Piccolo etc., becoming enemies perhaps out of fear, etc. Stuff that’s unexpected and new, but also totally makes natural sense.
Yes, that would be surprising, but, this could happen.

I wonder, where would current Black Frieza scale in all of this? Remember, he can take much more punishment due to his race having an extreme durability ( he was revived in pieces). It's debatable whether he would grow faster or slower than a Saiyan with the same potential who trained for the same duration...
Ssj4 Gohan in this scenario the very first time he went ssj4 cause he was able to match against beerus that would most likely scale him there
Now that I think about it, Goku with Frieza potential plus SSJ4 is a form that unleashed the user potential like Mystic form in a sense plus with God Ki. That will create a Monsters out of this world. Imagine all of that with their potential unlock with Mystic form. Busted.
