I laughed when you stood outside your rig and patted your stomach while eating a sandwich. The whole point of being a nomad is to be free to do what you want and, in this case, eat what you want.

Here is a tip Carolyn. In Windows you can manually change your WiFi hotspot as a "metered" connection. This basically tells Windows that this particular hotspot costs $$$ or has a limited amount of data and it will refraine from any software updates or drive syncing.

You’re not fat. You are healthy. Caucasians with European ancestry tend to be larger than Latino and Asian populations. I eat extremely healthy and gained 39 pounds w/o changing anything when menopause hit.
It is very difficult when you are a female. Hormones are everything.

That is not true. European Americans are not proportionately heavier than Latin Americans by virtue of genetics. European Americans are taller than Latin or Asian Americans. But, the food we eat and the over consumption is why we have the highest obesity rate in the world. The population in European countries all increased in obesity rate once our American fast-food restaurants opened there. It is nice to make Carolyn feel better. But, it isn't her European heritage. Did you know that the number of fat cells we have are set by the age of 2? The fat cells expand and shrink through our lifetimes with our diet, but the number does not change. So, many people are battling against something that was set before they had control of their diets. To your other point, hormones are a factor. I think most people are sedentary or inactive. People run around as children, maybe join a sport and become very fit. Then, they become adults, have children, and become chained to a desk for thirty years. The hormones can keep the weight down, but once the hormones drop, the lack of exercise is exposed. Of course, that is the general population. There are exceptions.

I hate snobby people who think their shit dont stink. She could of said hi and you can bet she called on you. If you had a $100,000 rig she would not of bothered you. I also think she would of went out of her way to come back later and call in a suspicious person complaint. As for people so worried about your weight. They should get a life. I am a 64 year old man and i think you are beautiful. Please dont change for anyone. Your videos calm me at night. When i leave during the day i put your playlist on for my dogs to enjoy. I am soooo tired of being judged by my weight. Especially when people exclaim with joy "did you lose weight ? ! " . I find that extremely insulting. I don't diet. I rarely weigh myself. Why can't people just take us how we are ? You rock, Carolyn !
I agree with you about the losing weight comment. It's maddening that so much attention is paid to our appearances as women and not our million other qualities!
Good for you telling people it was none of their business about weight issues. I loved it. The older we get the harder it is to loose weight anyway. Also if you have had COVID it interferes with the effectiveness of your mitochondria which is your energy producer. Many of us have a lot of trouble loosing weight. Besides it isn’t the weight, it is you that matters!! That’s why we love following you❤️
Mountain time is my favorite time zone. I've lived in the South, the East, the Midwest, The Southwest, and the Northwest and I've lived here in Idaho 35 years.
I wish the north east would make camping more accessible, you are 100% right when you say there’s just not as much open land up here so everyone has to keep an eye on their surroundings.

I think about 20 years ago there was a company that made a perfume that smelled like fresh cut grass.
I loved that smell also.
Pretty sure it was called 'Grass' and made by The Gap. At least that is what I used and it smelt just like Grass.

When we were camping back east, I remember driving around lakes and beachfront and there was no access and no place to even view either. They were surrounded by houses with private access. I'd never move back east I find it too crowded.

Ohio park rangers are overtly friendly...thats normal in our state...i have had them change tires, unlock ur car if locked out, bring me water, and gave my dog treats..lol

I am new to your channel, It crossed my mind for years especially during covid to live in an RV and travel, and hike. Visit many churches.
Having lived in New Hampshire most of my life and then Georgia I find it way too land restrictive for my taste. It was doubly so after I traveled West. Now I'm itching to go back there and stay but family is here.

Lots of good info, good video. I laughed out loud at your response to fat vegan questions. I actually woke up in middle of the night and remembered part of my dream, you had wrote a book called The Nomadic Fat Vegan and you were on book tour. This afternoon I decided after thinking about it half of the day to look online, did a search and WOW there are so many restaurants and other enterprises named Fat Vegan.

-I like to make my pancake with half Kodiak gf and half Bob's Red Mill GF. I add Cinnamon, vanilla or almond extract with the oat milk. Soooo good. Sometimes sliced raw almonds if I can find them and whatever fruit sounds good that day - blueberries are a special favorite.

What people don't understand is when women are menopausal it can cause weight gain and unless you take hormone replacement there is just about no way to get that weight off. Also just don't comment on what someone looks like because it is extremely rude. Be better people! Pretty sure if you had a newer expensive looking rig there would have been no one asking if your were all right. Sad that people make judgements based entirely on what a rig looks like, oh wait we do that with people too! UG!
