Yeah, you're right because Dread's soundtrack reminded me a lot of Fusion's in places. For instance, the theme that plays when you begin from a save point has a synth to it that is really similar to Fusion's start theme.

metroid prime being so early in the timeline is the primary reason why phazon isnt present in any of the 2d games. phaaze is blown up by the time metroid 2 starts
