What about the situation where women are left unmarried because they: either could not find or meet someone whom they could trust or because they are living in a society that produces more corrupt men than the responsible caring type, so they cannot choose such men knowingly ? These days, even Muslim societies have become filled with corrupt and irresponsible men, so there is a real shortage of eligible bachelors. Furthermore, there are parents who are themselves neglectful parents and irresponsible with regard to marriage and they end up wasting a daughter's life because of neglect and unrealistic expectations and a delusional outlook of life.
Great talk and much love imam Tom. However don’t advise a teen to turn up to someone’s house asking for marriage. At best these acne filled and hormone filled bags of insecurities and contradictions should send their parents to ask.
Are you suggesting that people in U.K. don’t. Know how to be fathers ? How do you think we have managed for the last 1500 years of our country’s history.?.
Bar is a place “chicks” hang out. Not where respectable men meet respectable ladies, even in a non Muslim context. His language is relevant to what he is trying to convey.
