I've only encountered Helldivers who utilize glitches/loopholes tho, such as multiple mechs and/or sentries, infinite grenades (I hated the grenade one often due to friendly fire incidents albeit to save a player). Please don't take this personally. You guys kinda looked bad in the video. I understand the curiosity by shooting P4 the first few times but at like 15:00 this is where I think it looks bad. It wasn't like P4 was actively trying to kill you, T1 and T2 but it seemed like your deaths were all accidental by either mortar, mine, and orbital strike. I don't care about players or cheaters but it matters to me based on their intentions or actions.

For me, part of the fun of playing higher difficulties is the challenge that it provides, that's why I choose to queue up for max difficulty games. Technically, yes, P4 wasn't doing harm to us directly, but I saw the abuse of using multiple stratagems with no CD penalty ruining the experience of the game. If they wanted to, they could run a private lobby and have their actions entirely not affect us. P4 choosing to join a game and cheat ruins the experience for the other 3 players. I will admit that I was excessive for the harassment of P4, and thank you for pointing that out. I should've taken the better route and just report them and move on. On the moral side of the things, I just feel that cheating in general is inherently wrong. Whether they directly or indirectly affect me, I am strongly against it and find it distasteful. I've had many other gaming experiences, mainly with competitive consequences, ruined by cheaters, and despite Helldivers being PvE, I find no excuse for cheating to exist here either.

Only saw 1 blatant cheater during my entire time with HD2 and I ruined his gameplay despite him being immune to everything.
If you wanna cheat like this do it alone in a private lobby or with friends. Dont join any lobby. Dont even set up an public one as wasting the time it takes to join, see the animations, pick a loadout, drop, see that someone is cheating, leaving, seeing the cryo animation, walking to the holo table and starting this process all over again is already bad enough
I had a mission I had a cheater on my team, and his name was General Brasch, level 150. It was Helldive difficulty. We chatted a bit of roleplay in the chat, and went on in the mission. He went alone to do side objectives while the team and I did the rest. It was going so well for us, and he was owning everything on his own on the other side of the map. I thought this was the best mission ever. Then when we finished and we met up, I called some supplies, and a few seconds later, he called for supplies as well. That's when I realized what was going on. At extraction, he started spamming the smoke orbital stratagem on the extraction. It was so disappointing honestly

I know who’ll cheat. The casual players that don’t wanna get better at the game and instead complain all day that they don’t have infinite ammo and can’t one tap titans. Players who think using the flamethrower on a charger’s sack is over 9000x harder than the legs so they’ll just give up and cheat. Players who think there’s no alternative options to take on challenges so they’ll enable infinite grenades. Those are the players and it’ll go up over time.

I hate cheater and if i even suspect cheating i kick them or leave the lobby if im not squad leader. Your right it kills the experience of the game for most players. In my experience the players who used the grenade expoit were some of the worst players in the game because they usually die a lot and just usually suck at the game even using an exploit
at this point, Arrowhead is ruining their own game. they keep nerfing the fun one "patch" after another. what we have to fight is ai controlled mixed units, with more numbers going for it the higher the difficulty goes. the ai also has unlimited ammo, can shoot through objects (found this out on level 7 and up bug missions today, the bile spitting units were hitting me through buildings and terrain), and aimbot. *we* have weapons that can't penetrate medium or heavy armor like they should, weapons that don't hit hard enough or carry enough ammo to do what they are *made* to do, or affect stuff with medium or heavy armor like they're supposed to (flamethrower being one of them as of the 6th, Arrowhead *does not* know how fire and heat work) and strategems that take way longer to be available in HD2 than they did in HD1, even on higher difficulties. Arrowhead wants to mess things up for us, we might as well give ourselves infinite ammo, invulnerability, super speed and instant strategem cool down, just to counter their sheer stupidity.
I don't like cheaters, but this is the only viable argument towards cheating I've seen in years. I would opt not to play the game until it's fixed rather than support cheating, but eh... At least what you said MAKES a TEENSIE bit of sense.
Yes their nerfs are dumb but we don't need cheats, if someone was running unlimited backup mags and reduced cooldown on some less powerful stratagems in my game I wouldn't mind though, but unlimited heath and orbital lasers and you're basically not playing a real game any more anyway

In about 300+ Hours i got only once a Cheater. Ulimited Commando shot's Bad we can't report that treachery behaviour. They should go straight to an Democratic reeducational Camp.
NGL unlimited commando sounds like it would be quite fun for a bit but as with all OP cheats it would get boring after a couple of matches. Unlimited commando shots would be fun in a private session just for the experience but I play on a cheat free platform

I think this type of cheating is good example of why overpowering the player is not fun or good for the game as a whole. What is the fun to kill everthing without breaking a sweet. If ylu struggle at high diff, then play at lower levels there is no shame on that. So many players want to mow down hordes of enemies but from 5 to 7 you can do that if you aggro everything. If you like to fight on a pinch thats what diff 9 and 10 are for.
I got in a game with a hacker once; he summoned 5 autocannon mechs for all of us and then died and ragequit. To be fair this was before the autocannon mech had been released so it was a nice trial run (it was pretty bad in pre-release state due the gun firepoint not lining up with the crosshairs). Honestly didn't see it being too disruptive, especially since he was so bad that he wasted all our reinforcements.
Cheating in a PvE co-op game. Why? What is the point? ESPECIALY HD2 where everything, xp/samples/medals/slips, is shared evenly. What sort of a person has so little self respect they feel the need to do that? I play for the challenge of helping my team and completing the mission. What kind of fulfillment do you receive if you know you will win because you cheat?
The cheater i encountered had a modified purifier lol it was shooting nukes he was able to take down dropships and factory striders in a couple shots he also had invincibility infinte ammo and aim bot i guess it was crazy I actually recorded some of it and uploaded it lol

I saw someone in my game have like around 4,867 stun grenades while spectating him. When i questioned him, he went “Sh**!” He didn’t leave tho, and i tried to report him for cheating. For some reasone, it said: “A player cannot be reported for this. Choose something else.” I tried again, but it didn’t work. :(
i got 400 hours in the game, this is my first time seeing a cheat. The only thing that probably came close to cheating i guess, was some how calling in 2 Resupplies at the same time on Evac. Only happened once.
@@reaperrevan3641 It's certainly possible, but that's also an excuse that cheaters make all the time. Your best option is to see if it happens again, and go from there. If the 'glitch' keeps happening, they are cheating their asses off. If it's a one-time thing and you don't see them do anything else suspicious... They either know you're onto them and are being VERY careful or it really was a glitch. I say better to be safe than sorry and report. If somebody actually acts on the report and checks them out, I'll hope they get to the bottom of things. If not, our anti-cheat team has failed us.

I had one bot mission on difficulty 9 where a cheater joined partway through. Infinite Mortars, immune to damage, etc... I told the host that he was cheating and the host didn't remove him. So... in order to deny this clear Illuminate spy any resources I purposefully had my Helldiver go for a swim with all the samples and then made it my new objective to thwart this nefarious creature of fascist intentions. I'd shoot him. I'd blow up his mortars. When the host didn't do anything and was clearly helping this aberration I had to assume he was corrupted by the enemy so I had to go after him as well and he didn't kick me either. Rather odd. In any case the end of it was me running around with the cheater throwing fire grenades at me but in the end I evac'd and he didn't. Took a screenshot of that victory. Summary: Do not feel bad for abusing those who are cheating. They are undermining the gameplay experience for other people so that should be reflected back at them in kind. It is your duty as a dispenser of Democracy, Freedom and Liberty to thwart the Illuminate Spies that infiltrate our ranks. Good on Orphan Maker for delivering justice. Pretty sure I played with him before name being "DeMasked".
I play on linux and get flagged by the anti-cheat and can't start the game (April) this dude can barry allen tap into the speed force and call down the hand of god 5 times!!! You wreck the purpose of playing a game.

People cheat because they want to cheat. Even if Arrowhead was properly working towards making dispensing freedom more fun, they would still cheat. What you've said basically sounds like the excuse of a cheater supporter or a cheater themselves, which I'm sure is why Michaeljenkins responded the way that they did. The world is an awful place. Your words have weight. Use them at your own discretion, but be mindful of those around you. There's no knowing when a cheater will suddenly stab you in the face without so much as a warning.

This is the lamest way to go about cheating. If you’re going to have infinite stratagems throw down a fuck ton at once so people can have fun with the fireworks for a bit but they just let the mission go on as normal. There’s a way to go about this without being a nerd that ruins everyone’s experience. Good example is those leakers a while back who dropped in vehicles for people to toy with and then left. Nobody hated them for doing that.

In my experience the players who used the grenade expoit were some of the worst players in the game because they usually die a lot and just usually suck at the game even using an exploit
at this point, Arrowhead is ruining their own game. they keep nerfing the fun one "patch" after another.
what we have to fight is ai controlled mixed units, with more numbers going for it the higher the difficulty goes. the ai also has unlimited ammo, can shoot through objects (found this out on level 7 and up bug missions today, the bile spitting units were hitting me through buildings and terrain), and aimbot.
*we* have weapons that can't penetrate medium or heavy armor like they should, weapons that don't hit hard enough or carry enough ammo to do what they are *made* to do, or affect stuff with medium or heavy armor like they're supposed to (flamethrower being one of them as of the 6th, Arrowhead *does not* know how fire and heat work) and strategems that take way longer to be available in HD2 than they did in HD1, even on higher difficulties.
Arrowhead wants to mess things up for us, we might as well give ourselves infinite ammo, invulnerability, super speed and instant strategem cool down, just to counter their sheer stupidity.
I don't like cheaters, but this is the only viable argument towards cheating I've seen in years. I would opt not to play the game until it's fixed rather than support cheating, but eh... At least what you said MAKES a TEENSIE bit of sense.

Yes their nerfs are dumb but we don't need cheats, if someone was running unlimited backup mags and reduced cooldown on some less powerful stratagems in my game I wouldn't mind though, but unlimited heath and orbital lasers and you're basically not playing a real game any more anyway
@@damienmcdonald7610 we could just say that the deployment of super soldiers with the best (and top secret) equipment available to them. there are a number of games out there, with lore to back it up, that some of the things they can deploy take an army, or several armies worth, of firepower to stop.

NGL unlimited commando sounds like it would be quite fun for a bit but as with all OP cheats it would get boring after a couple of matches. Unlimited commando shots would be fun in a private session just for the experience but I play on a cheat free platform

I think this type of cheating is good example of why overpowering the player is not fun or good for the game as a whole. What is the fun to kill everthing without breaking a sweet.
If ylu struggle at high diff, then play at lower levels there is no shame on that.
So many players want to mow down hordes of enemies but from 5 to 7 you can do that if you aggro everything. If you like to fight on a pinch thats what diff 9 and 10 are for.
Just kick them out the minute you know.

Had a cheater within the first 2 weeks let him do his thing and booted him at extract
I got in a game with a hacker once; he summoned 5 autocannon mechs for all of us and then died and ragequit.
To be fair this was before the autocannon mech had been released so it was a nice trial run (it was pretty bad in pre-release state due the gun firepoint not lining up with the crosshairs).
Honestly didn't see it being too disruptive, especially since he was so bad that he wasted all our reinforcements.

Cheating in a PvE co-op game. Why? What is the point? ESPECIALY HD2 where everything, xp/samples/medals/slips, is shared evenly. What sort of a person has so little self respect they feel the need to do that? I play for the challenge of helping my team and completing the mission. What kind of fulfillment do you receive if you know you will win because you cheat?
The cheater i encountered had a modified purifier lol it was shooting nukes he was able to take down dropships and factory striders in a couple shots
he also had invincibility infinte ammo and aim bot i guess it was crazy I actually recorded some of it and uploaded it lol

Had one in my game once, guy was invincible. Once i found out he started killing everyone.

What's awful is that i recently found somebody on UA-cam who was advertisimg their cheats on UA-cam to "Be better" at Helldivers 2.
I've been seeing videos like that lately just openly advertising cheats. It wasn't for Helldivers but it was for other games like rainbow 6, crazy huh

I saw someone in my game have like around 4,867 stun grenades while spectating him. When i questioned him, he went “Sh**!” He didn’t leave tho, and i tried to report him for cheating. For some reasone, it said: “A player cannot be reported for this. Choose something else.” I tried again, but it didn’t work. :(

i got 400 hours in the game, this is my first time seeing a cheat.
The only thing that probably came close to cheating i guess, was some how calling in 2 Resupplies at the same time on Evac. Only happened once.

@@reaperrevan3641 It's certainly possible, but that's also an excuse that cheaters make all the time. Your best option is to see if it happens again, and go from there. If the 'glitch' keeps happening, they are cheating their asses off. If it's a one-time thing and you don't see them do anything else suspicious... They either know you're onto them and are being VERY careful or it really was a glitch. I say better to be safe than sorry and report. If somebody actually acts on the report and checks them out, I'll hope they get to the bottom of things. If not, our anti-cheat team has failed us.

I had one bot mission on difficulty 9 where a cheater joined partway through. Infinite Mortars, immune to damage, etc... I told the host that he was cheating and the host didn't remove him. So... in order to deny this clear Illuminate spy any resources I purposefully had my Helldiver go for a swim with all the samples and then made it my new objective to thwart this nefarious creature of fascist intentions.
I'd shoot him. I'd blow up his mortars. When the host didn't do anything and was clearly helping this aberration I had to assume he was corrupted by the enemy so I had to go after him as well and he didn't kick me either. Rather odd. In any case the end of it was me running around with the cheater throwing fire grenades at me but in the end I evac'd and he didn't. Took a screenshot of that victory.
Summary: Do not feel bad for abusing those who are cheating. They are undermining the gameplay experience for other people so that should be reflected back at them in kind. It is your duty as a dispenser of Democracy, Freedom and Liberty to thwart the Illuminate Spies that infiltrate our ranks. Good on Orphan Maker for delivering justice. Pretty sure I played with him before name being "DeMasked".

I play on linux and get flagged by the anti-cheat and can't start the game (April) this dude can barry allen tap into the speed force and call down the hand of god 5 times!!! You wreck the purpose of playing a game.

If you keep an eye on it from 12:00 onwards, you can see that P4 goes from level 33, to when he extracts he is level 84, then back to 33 on the ship. No offense to anyone, but if I see Chinese player in a game I aways avoid it due to the high rate of cheating, and if one joins my game, I bounce. Too many stories of players getting their account hacked and ruined by these guys, sending your account to level 150 at the end of the game, thinking that they are doing you a favour, but spoiling it for everyone. It's just a cultural thing, in China they see cheating as normal, hence their saying "If you can cheat, then cheat" “能骗就骗“

People cheat because they want to cheat. Even if Arrowhead was properly working towards making dispensing freedom more fun, they would still cheat. What you've said basically sounds like the excuse of a cheater supporter or a cheater themselves, which I'm sure is why Michaeljenkins responded the way that they did. The world is an awful place. Your words have weight. Use them at your own discretion, but be mindful of those around you. There's no knowing when a cheater will suddenly stab you in the face without so much as a warning.

Legitimately why do you care so much about a cheater? You can always play another mission and it’s PVE, the actions of one player won’t affect the games objective or the game itself
So if a cheater maxes out your samples or account level without your permission, that doesn't effect you? Maybe you just don't understand how invasive some cheats are. Or the mentality that people who cheat have. Or maybe you do understand the mindset. I mean, you are supporting the actions of cheaters after all... And your comment makes no sense. "Why do you care so much about a cheater?" The dude didn't get mad or anything. They just laughed the entire time. Maybe you're on drugs. Good luck with life and your lack of awareness.
This is the lamest way to go about cheating. If you’re going to have infinite stratagems throw down a fuck ton at once so people can have fun with the fireworks for a bit but they just let the mission go on as normal. There’s a way to go about this without being a nerd that ruins everyone’s experience. Good example is those leakers a while back who dropped in vehicles for people to toy with and then left. Nobody hated them for doing that.
