Need the amount of times my ears are graced by the epic scores of Hans Zimmer, Ludwig Göransson, and James Newton Howard in Nolan films
The answers are: 6, 2 (including Oppenheimer), and 2 (with Hans Zimmer). But you already knew that, Im sure!
Don't forget David Julyan, his scores to Memento and The Prestige are hauntingly beautiful.
Went late to a local premier of Interstellar and was stuck in the front row with the speakers. : (
One thing I'd like to see addressed is Nolan's obsession with obsession. Obsessed with finding your wife's killer. Obsessed with one-upping your professional rival. Obsessed with fighting crime. Obsessed with chasing a speck across your room.
(I love Nolan and I love this video!)
It's all about TIME!!!
*cue Time by Hans Zimmer*
Definitely noticed Nolan’s love for suits in Inception and Tenet
We now need an updated version with Oppenheimer
We’ve definitely watched Batman Begins and counted how many times fear is mentioned.
(32)
5, 2, 8, 4, 9, 1
I see what you did there. And I approve.
I don’t, can someone explain to this noob?
@@SidV101it’s the numbers from Inception
Oooh :)
Here's a question:
If you look at his movies outside of the Dark Knight Trilogy, how many actors has he used that have been featured in a comic book movie?
I feel like they missed the Rachel murder by the joker?
HOW MANY TIMES DID SPIDERMAN'S SPIDEY SENSE FAIL HIM??
telling story linear hates Nolan.
Underrated comment
Than6s for sharing this important information
Interesting. Can we get a commentary for this like youndo with the trailers?
forgot about jeremy theobold in batman begins! but awesome video :)
3:16 wait, that's not close second at all
Thought the exact same thing. Almost every other name on that list beat out Lenny/Leonard. 🤦♀️
In the Prestige there were 146 time jumps.
Thanks, Spence and F.A.N.D.A.!
I'd love to know which name was said more by the dads of Murph(interstellar) and Carl(TWD)
is Spencer Gilbert related to Sean Evans from Hot Ones? the voices are so similar! :)
3:10 MUUUUUUUUUURPH!
I am tired of WW2 films. I don't remember the last one I actually watched let alone looked forward to.
I agree. I think Overlord is the last movie set in WW2 that I saw in theaters. Great movie, but more of a sci-fi horror than a “realistic” war movie.
Been feeling this way for 30 years now. (I did make an exception for Jojo Rabbit.)
I think the last one I watched was probably The Imitation Game, and I was more interested in the cryptography aspect than that it was WW2.
And I watched it at home, not in theaters.
Is the prestige Nolan's only historical movie? Cause that's an in-universe reason for the high number of suits at least
Dunkirk and Oppenheimer are both also historical movies.
@@ProuvaireJean oh yes I forgot about Dunkirk, Oppenheimer wasn't counted in this video so it's not relevant, and Dunkirk is a war movie so suits would be lacking. Guess that means the prestige (and probably Oppenheimer) are the Nolan movies that have a bunch of suits, but also a contextual reason for them. E.g. inception doesn't need suits but there are definitely suits in it.
Get some
Final stats beg an interesting question - choosing only directors who have had at least one oscar nomination and at least 10 major films, rank them by what % of speaking lines or cast or something are men.
Latest Mission Impossible was mostly men, Top Gun Maverick was mostly men, Oppenheimer, John Wick, Transformers, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, Fast X, Indiana Jones 5, D&D, Flash, Spiderverse etc etc - excluding Little Mermaid and Barbie I can't think of any majority-women movies this year (unless Shazam just edged it)? A bit embarrassing in the modern world...
Bwooooooong!

What happened to this channel? Did you guys abandon your physical studio? Is everything over zoom now?
TLDR: Nolan is a sexist :D
It took him only ten movies to write a great female character.
@@edgarleft you are not the brightest…
@@toonsoffun5733 That hurts. But please elaborate.
@@edgarleft it turns out I’m not the brightest. Did not realize you were joking too.
@@toonsoffun5733 I do actually think that Kat is his best written female character maybe except for Ariadne. But tahat doesn't make him sexist.
