    This weeks video is kind of quick and sloppy as you can tell, sorry about that! I promise to up the quality and content of my videos for you guys, but I just wanted to make sure I had one out for you this week.
    This look is all about the Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette. I LOVE this palette!

    I hate when you go for a naked smoky tutorial and all the stuff in the beginning isnt from the pallet and you dont have any similar colors -_-

      well instead of setting the primer with a light makeup geek eyeshadow like she did, u can just use ur face powder. and for a transition shade, use the brown shade in the smokey naked palette. its a bit darker than the one she used but if u use it with a light hand it should be okay :)

    Sheesh, who knew makeup could incite such hateful commentary?
    I think this look is GORGEOUS, you did a fabulous job on it! I wish I had an UD Smoky palette now! But I'll be trying to recreate this look with my various other UD palettes.
    I haven't watched any of your newer videos, so I'm sure your filming has improved. I'm sure people either forgot or simply didn't hear you when you said you were an amateur and new to this tutorial video thing, otherwise I think they'd be a little more forgiving and offer some instructive criticism rather than biting remarks.
    Anyways, trying this look tonight for a concert, thanks so much for the great ideas and the beautiful tutorial!
    Gorgeous eyes, btw! Best of luck with everything fellow momma!

    Same. I wore Armor last night and someone was like "Oh I love your sparkles!" and I said it was a happy accident because they're supposed to be on my eyelids, yet they migrated all over my face!

    How is this the "Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Tutorial.. but yet the first shadow you put on isn't from that palette. I didn't really mind that as much since it is just a flesh tone, but then you took your transitional shade another one of their palettes? Then it isn't really a "Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette Tutorial" then, is it? Smh.

      I am a beginner and I hate it when I buy a palette and look for tutorials of the same palette I got. Then they bring out other eye shadow's that are not from the palette of the tutorial is from lol I ain't hating on her makeup she is beyond good at what she does though which I love but it messes me up😑😔

    Use a small firm shader brush for the application of glittery or shimmery eyeshadows. It will help prevent the fallout.

    hey! just a recommendation because I know exactly what your talking about. When I use the urban decay sparkly colors if I use foundation I'll put I on after so that you can get the pigment on to your liking and then just do your face after so u don't have fall out on your foundation

      It's a pretty smokey eye ...
      when she said "grunge" I was like noooooo this is not grunge at all ... It's way to pretty and neat to be grunge (I don't know why people think everything smokey it's grunge, that is so weird)

    • @melraemusic
      @melraemusic  8 років тому

      +Gloomy sunday what makes it "grunge" (this is a clean grunge instead of of a purposeful messy version) is the emphasis of the dark and liner on the bottom lid and waterline, with a clean top lid.

    I LOVE UD's sparkly shadows its one of the many reasons I buy their stuff! And it's so weird to hear that there's tons of sparkle loss because on me, the sparkles last all day & they don't get anywhere else. They always stay on my lid... I don't dip the brush in anything either... so maybe your lid is more hooded?!?

      @melraemusic  8 років тому

      +Alex Barajas try to use a drier formula and go as long as possible without blinking! As far as the type of mascara you should use it really depends on what youre looking for, whether it be more length, thickness, darkness, etc. My favourite mascara is Loreal Voluminous Carbon, but i have non existent lashes

    • @sarahphinasunset3312
      @sarahphinasunset3312 8 років тому

      I have deep set eyes with long lashes and I always have a problem with the mascara melting against my brow bone. Even waterproof melts. Then I discovered "Better Than Waterproof" by Cargo. It's AMAZING!!! It doesn't melt or smudge. At night, I use a vaseline based moisturizer to remove my eye makeup. I rub some on my lids for a few min to loosen the mascara and disolve all the eyeshadow. Then I wipe it off. Next, I use a waterproof eye makeup remover to disolve the rest. I always shower before bed, so I remove any residual mascara when I wash my face in the shower. It doesn't melt and comes off easily!
