I love my Christmas decorations! Every year my house is decorated by Thanksgiving and I will leave my tree and decorations up until late January or Feburary! I figure its a lot of work I may as well enjoy them as long as I can.
Same here ❤. Christmas goes up after Halloween and stays (more often than not) through February. It’s just how I roll. I love Christmas. And… I love this video and the wintery (vs “Christmas”) but I’m still a Christmas as long as possible type of girl.
I leave touches of winter in my house with tons of fairy lights! My Birthday is in January, but my Mom's Due date for me was in December. I feel cheated my birthday is in January, so I decided to make it a Happy house project month, and celebrate positive changes in our house! This will be my celebration 🥳🎉 of family and new beginnings, just before spring come's! I am so looking forward to redoing our kitchen cabinets and painting! Not a full renovation, but something I could accomplish in a week ❗ 💜👍🏻🙏🏻
After Christmas, I love to start decorating with Winter & Valentine decor. We spend so much time indoors since it gets dark early in day & because of bad weather! After taking down the Christmas tree ( on 12th day on Epiphany), I get candles out & clip fresh pine branch from neighboring outside trees to keep the fresh scents coming in!
There's still a lot of cold, dark winter after Christmas, and to ease the pain of turning off the colorful lights of the holidays for the last time, I started doing winter decor. For me, colored lights are Christmas, white lights are winter. It's a great way to ease the transition from the festive, colorful holidays to the serene, sparkling beauty of winter. Thanks for lots of great ideas.
You are so sweet! I love that you said "you don't have to hurt the ornaments just wrap in cloth" instead of saying damage. Love all these soft winter decore ideas. Thank you🥰
Everything is so soft and pretty. I was a professional ice skater and toured for 10 years with Ice Follies….which is like Disney on Ice now. So anything with ice skates I love. I have the little ice skates u have from Walmart.
Some of these would not work in my house because our winters are barely cold. I even wait until Feb/March to leave my tree up until I see a snowflake!!! But I think the other things are simply too pretty not to try or even better incorporate them into Christmas and leave them up afterwards. Nice post
I agree with so many that the packing up of Christmas is hard to do! Thank you for all the wonderful ideas to repurpose and keep our beloved decor going for another month. Several of my friends and I are transferring our "Christmas" trees to snowflake trees for January. 💕from Frigid Kansas
It's a ton of work putting Christmas ⛄🎄⛄ decor all together, I started my holloween decor in September, so we can enjoy it so much longer! The holidays are exhausting, with cooking and cleaning, wrapping, getting the perfect gifts 🎁 cleaning 🧼 house and making it warm and cozy for family and friends ❗ Plus working and making dinner and lunches, for kid's!
I was thinking (just thinking) about winter decor and knew I needed to search my favorite creators pages for some ideas. I may have spoke out loud what I was thinking…well big brother must have heard me because I logged onto youtube and your vlog was the first thing to pop up 😮 Thank you for the ideas. I’m rushing out to see if I can find some snowflakes 😁😁😁
Such great ideas. It is difficult taking down Christmas decor.I really liked it this year, but after New Years,I am getting to work.I do leave out a few pieces for winter too get that cozy cottage vibe in winter.
You give such a comfort to our souls, so relaxing viedo's and the way you show you working on them ..ITS LIKE WE ARE STANDING RIGHT NEXT TO YOU..And you are a wonder women with the glue gun! 🤣🤣Love it for those of us that sadly has giving up our sewing... God continue to bless you and your family and joy to us that have noone around us close by 🙏
It makes me so sad to put my Christmas decorations away. So this year I decided to leave my white tree up and move it from the kitchen to the sunroom, remove all the red and green and decorate with whites, blues and silver for a winter theme. I'm really excited about this. Hope you have a blessed new year!I look forward to all your videos.
I'm leaving my flocked pencil tree up (just white lights, I'll undecorate it) and then I had just gotten a trio of flocked tree (3,4, and 5 ft) before Christmas that I'll leave up with just white lights on. I'm not ready for spring decor and just not ready to say goodbye to the cozy winter scenes yet either.
@@stacytaddiken7634 I'm not ready for spring either. I live in Southern Illinois and we get to experience all 4 seasons. I love spring, but still want some winter. I'm sure that your trees will be so pretty 😊
I always put out my snowmen that are what I call my neutral snowmen and like you all my snowflakes and white furry wreaths…. Thanks for all your great ideas…Happy New Year!❤️
I'm packing Christmas away on 30.12. except for some of the Christmas lights, Finnish winter is long and dark, so the lights are needed a little longer 😊. I'm already waiting your next video. Happy New Year 2023 🎆 ❤
Milk paint isn't necessarily a "crackle" paint....ANY paint can be a crackle paint if you first paint the piece with a mixture of watered down white (Elmer's) glue. Let it dry. Then, using milk paint, acrylic paint, latex paint, chalk paint - whatever kind you want-and paint the piece. Do not go over any area more than once....just put the paint on and don't go over your brush strokes with more paint-that will keep the paint from crackling. The thicker your paint. the harder it will be for the crackling to show. I hope I described this right. The biggest mistake you can make is going over and over the painted brush strokes, or adding two coats of paint. Hope this helps someone out there.
Great idea the basket with the stick wreath inside and the pitcher. But I would stop there. I love the rustic look. The towel, beads and fuzzy boa were too much. Sorry. The pine and candle centerpiece just had too many candles. And I love the juniper with the blue berries. I have never seen that in any craft store. Gorgeous! The round oak frame would look stunning keeping the natural wood color and still adding the embellishments. You said you weren't going to do anything to the little wood block that said HAPPY PLACE, but you covered the writing up with the snowflake 😱! Adore the stick and pine cone swag! Like I said, I love rustic, and less is more. It's the nature in natural.
One reason I love white, wood ,and green, because those things can carry through every season. Green can look great at Christmas and through winter and then still look great through spring and summer..
Teresa I could watch your DIY videos all day! You have such a creative mind and you have certainly taught me when I am out thrifting to look at things in a different light because they can usually be changed and made into something else, I love that about your channel. These were all so cute and I love snow flake ideas but now I am wishing I had picked up some ice skates to use through the winter, and maybe they will be on clearance if I hurry out shopping before all the Christmas decor is sold. Such cute ideas, thanks and Happy New Year! Love love love your channel.
Absolutely loved all of these!! I always get plenty of ideas and inspiration from your videos. They’re all so beautiful!!! I have to save all of these because I can’t remember them all. !! Thanks for sharing and I pray you and your family has a Happy and Blessed New Year!!
Happy new year to you and ben. The winter crafts are a nice way to keep the home cozy once all the Christmas decorations are taken down. Thanks Teresa 🦋
Beautiful ideas as usual, and such creative combinations! When I first saw the Pinterest-inspired wood tags I thought they could be made from recycled ceiling fan blades, to make large ones. I see them all the time at my local ReStore. God bless and Happy New Year!
Thank you for sharing your great decor ideas and simple tutorials love it; God bless you and hope you had a happy Merry Christmas and wishing you the best of the New Year 🤗
I love each and everyone of these Diy's I really don't like to say by to Christmas so I love too turn some of my stuff into winter decorations . I want to wish you and your husband and family a Happy New Year and can't wait to see what you will be doing in 2023 . God bless you and your family.
Loved these Winter decor ideas! Very cozy and beautiful. I loved the way you turned some of your Christma decor into Winter decor. That way not all of it is put away. I'm like Becky and it's hard for me to put Christmas away.
I enjoyed your video and ideas so much! I have done the winter wonderland theme in my livingroom and bedroom for three years now. This is after all the red decorations and nativity things are removed. I am fine with keeping all my green garland up until spring too. I have a 3 ft tall white Christmas tree with pearl white lights that is covered in icicles, snowflakes and white ice skates. Our bedroom has a "chandelier" light over the bed made of white snowy & icicle branches. You might have fun adding some icicles to your winter decor too. It really does add a bit of magic to have them hanging off greenery, pictures, etc. I think snow and ice is absolutely magical looking. It's a good thing, because I live in Wisconsin, where we have long winters!
I love your videos! I appreciate all of your content and extra time to make these. I scrolled through the comments looking for how to make the twig tree! Maybe you can come up with a way to make this, since so many people are wanting to know. I know that your thoughts will bring a DIY......Please. Wishing you and yours Happy New Year.
You never cease to amaze me with your decorating skills. Everything you touch turns beautiful! I just love your winter decor ideas. Thank you for all the inspiration, tips, tricks...everything you share 💖.

being that i just finished washing the Christmas dishes today i sure won’t be taking anything down this soon and my tradition is to leave it be until at least Jan 6. all my florals though are wintery and my colors silver and white and some pale pink.
Thank you for the great idea on the Walmart skate ornaments. I'm looking at the two I have on my tree right now and thinking - I have GOT to do that with these!! Hope you and hubby had a wonderful Christmas and may God bless you both in the coming year! Blessings!
Beautiful winter decor. Love the snowflake pieces. Can't get any easier than that. Love the picture frame wreath too, and the wood tags. Thanks for sharing.
Love your ideas, the trays, the yarn balls, beads and tags. Our Christmas was delayed due to illness, so will be winter decorating next week. It makes taking down the Christmas decorations much easier and no sadness like other years.
Happy Nee Year blessings Teresa. Always love your videos. Thanks for easing us out of my favorite season and into the rest of winter. The house always feels naked after being filed with the beauty of Christmas. See you in the new year!
